Here I go again--but not to some place! I have yet another edition of Michigan Travel Tips that has information in the introduction related to another edition of Michigan Travel Tips, particularly the edition for April 10, 2025, which is the 252nd edition (and you can easily reach Michigan Travel Tips #252 by using this Travel #252 link). I report that the "252nd" edition has been given yet another update, and, by the way, the April 10, 2025, edition is about camper vans, particularly about how one might be made by me (or some one else) and what it should have. The latest edition of the edition is about some rules to have in mind while making a camper van. Such a van will have to be made so that it can qualify for an "RVIA" sticker ("Recreational Vehicle Industry Association" sticker), which will make sure it can be used and sold in any state of the country. In addition, it means that the vehicle should be made so that the vehicle complies with "NFPA 1192" rules, which are not a set of rules or laws used in all the states, but why not make the vehicle acceptable in all states. NFPA 1192 rules are related to how electrial systems are set up and how propane systems are set up, and there is more, too. To have a vehicle not tied to "NFPA 1192" rules and not have a "RVIA" sicker might make the vehicle one that will not be allowed in some campgrounds. Before putting a camper van together, a person might be well off to show, for example, electrical schematics and plans and proposed hookup plans for propane systems to someone or some entity that might indicate that what is being proposed for a build will indeed lead well to getting, for instance, an RVIA sticker. In the end, a person's meeting rules can make it so that the vehicle will get insured or be insurable. Insurance--it is important issue. A person should talk with a proposed insurance entity before making a camper van to see what requirements must be met to get the proper type and amount of insurance once the vehicle is made. That also means a person should make sure to note to the propose insurance entity what type of vehicle it will be, such as only a regular camper van (not one that wil be the main residence for the person or the person and others, such as a wife) or a main residence, which might be used for six months or a year straight by a husband-and-wife team who are retired and what to see the country, such as from Alaska to Florida and from Maine to California.
Warning announcement! Because of incidents at schools for children and incidents at other places for people in general tied to "Sharia" or "Islamic Law" or even the religion/political system known as "Islam," I now regularly have this paragraph as a part of each edition of Michigan Travel Tips. The governmental system of the United States of America based on The U.S. Constitution and "Sharia" or, informally, Islamic law, are not compatible and cannot co-exist, and one reason is "Sharia" (et cetera) is a political system, in which there is one-party rule, and that one party is basically made up or controlled by religious leaders who base all the ways of their culture or society on "Sharia" or "Islamic Law." Those who uphold and practice "Sharia" have no tolerance for the existence of Christianity or Buddhism or Hinduism or non-religion, and that is a fact, and "Sharia" is a political system in which women are second-rate human bodies and in which clergy can be involved in determining business transactions, and there is no "freedom of speech" tied to politics in a society related to "Sharia." When you travel around Michigan and in other states of the country, watch for signs that rotten people are trying to teach you or family members, especially children, that "Sharia" is good and "Allah" is good and teach you or family members that the United States of America is bad and that, for instance, Christianity and Buddhism and Hinduism are bad, which I have evidence is happening and which is being brought about by people who are clearly working to make "Sharia" a dominant political system in the world (it is a political system as rotten as socialism and fascism and communism are, since it promotes violence and thuggery and coercion, and it promotes killing of non-followers behind the face of religion and a god, Allah). By the way, a society based on "Sharia" really creates nothing in the long run and does not advance the human society as a whole since it is too busy suppressing the ideas of people and keeping the ideas of the society based on ways of only a few minds up front (the political leaders), whose main purpose is to keep themselves enriched through the work of others, the many--it is a gang-run society really. Yes, if you run across people pushing the idea that Muslim stuff--particularly the true The Quran and not the translations of The Quran that are faked to hide the true nature of Islam--is better than the U.S. is, especially to little children, go public and make it known to other good people and fight back against it.
From March 28, 2025, to March 30, 2025, a big-deal ice storm hit at least the northern third or so of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, and I talk a bit about the storm in a video at the channel for "The Hologlobe Press" on YouTube, and that videos shows how I did, for one, house repair on a house damaged by a fallen tree, which had been taken down by the storm. This past February 2026, a big snow storm hit the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and a good portion of the upper half of the Lower Peninsula (such as Presque Isle County, where I live for parts of a year), and that storm led to mm having to shovel out a lane (attached at one end to US-23) that runs about 400 feet, and the snow was in the one-foot to three-foot range as a rule. Recently, I learned that the big snow storm has shut down at least one museum in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan [Miles, Gary. "Heavy snow damages roof at Michigan history museum, forcing iindefinite closure." The Detroit News, 21, March 2026, 1:39 p.m. ET.]. On February 21, 2026, some roof structure of the famous Michigan Iron Industry Museum at Negaunee became damaged by snow, and it seems the Negaunee area got something like four-feet of snow. The museum is watched over by the Michigan Dapartment of Natural Resources, by the way. The museum can be called a big museum in the Upper Peninsula, since it is usually open throughout the year, though not every day of the week. If you are in the Negaunee/Marquette area soon and if you want to see Michigan Iron Industry Museum, you will have to keep tabs on if the museum is open or when the musuem will be open again.
Incidentally--"for the record"--I report that it was in February 2026 when the big snow storm affected, for one, Cheboygan County of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, and it was around the early April 2026, such as the week of Sunday, April 12, 2026, when rain and melting snow caused flooding problems in Cheboygan County.
In April 2026, water was really rushing through the dam at Cheboygan, and that reminded me that, in the Upper Peninsula, a person can see a number of waterfalls. By the way, one of the nearest falls for me when I am up north (though not in the Upper Peninsula) is the Ocqueoc Falls of Presque Isle County, which I have not been to see in quite a while, having seen it last a little before renovations were made to the grounds around the falls. That falls is not an overlooked falls, and it is not the "Overlooked Falls." The latter falls is in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Overlooked Falls is a falls of Ontonagon County, and, in essense, it is a popular place for people who go to the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. Yet another falls in the Upper Peninisula is in Baraga County, and, incidentally, US-41 is the main route in that county that people use to get to the falls. The falls is not super famous, like another on the east side of the peninsula, which will go unmentioned in this document. The falls that I am talking about is Canyon Falls, and it is a part of Canyon Falls Roadside Park, which has picnic tables, where a person can have something to eat--stuff that has to be brought along. Generally speaking, the falls is about seven miles south of L'Anse. And, officially, Canyon Falls is a part of the Sturgeon River. If you are looking for non-real falls In Michigan, I tell you that you will find the Cascades Falls at Jackson (in Jackson County of the Lower Peninsula) and the Stepping Stone Falls at Flint (in Genesee County of the Lower Peninsula).
Hey, I wonder if some people are going to call the Cheboygan Dam this set of words--The Cheboygan Damn Falls?
Enjoy your traveling in Michigan!
Stay well!
Victor
