In the previous edition of Michigan Travel Tips, I made a little note about Pete Buttigieg, the head of the U.S. Department of Transportation, and I reported that Pete Buttigieg is a freak, and now I have more stuff tied to the freak. On the morning of September 15, 2022, I fired up a computer attached to the Internet so that I could send an email to the Burlesque Hall of Fame and Museum, Las Vegas, Nevada, and I was going to send the email as part of a search for information about at least one of the gals who took part in naked-gal events related to television series hosted by Soup Sales (information about which I provide in Television History and Trivia #222, which can be reached through this T.H.A.T. #222 link), and I got exposed to an article about I-375 in Detroit [Yen, Hope. "Buttigieg awards big fed grant to dismantle racist highway." yahoo.com, 15 September 2022, 4:52 a.m..]. Immediately I thought--Who are the shits that pushed out a story about a "racist" road? Well, of course, the writer of the story--Hope Yen--is one of the shits, and the any editor involved in putting the story out on the Internet is a shit. And since I had heard Pete Buttigieg talk about "racist" roads in the past and I had written about his talking about racist roads, I knew Pete Buttigieg was showing off more of his freakiness and rottenness. The story presented by Yahoo! reported that a $104.5-million federal grant was being presented to Michigan so that Michigan could use the money as part of a total $270-million to wipe out Interstate-375 (or I-375), which is about one-mile long, which has existed in downtown Detroit for about 60 years. The people involved in spending the money were pushing the idea that, by getting rid of the road, they would be wiping out some racism in Detroit. Yes, blacks in Detroit, instead of using money to take care of so many side streets and such that need repair, the freaks are going to wipe out I-375 so that elites in downtown Detroit will have a so-called lovely boulevard. It was reported in the story that Black residences or houses and such were removed to make I-375 years ago (but surely some whites got displaced at the time, too), so that is where the "racism" idea ties in. But their removing I-375--at a cost of some $270-million or more for about one mile of concrete and steel--is not going to lead to the construction of new housing for blacks really, unless it is housing--luxury apartments--for rich people. Oh, by the way, Pete Buttigieg (a Democrat, which means socialist or communist or progressive) is a supporter of "CRT", which has been known as "critical race theory" for a few years and which now, it seems, is being renamed and called "cultural responsible teaching." Over the last two centuries or so, a lot of roads have been built in Detroit, and the building of other roads and things displaced whites and blacks, so it seems very likely the freak known as Pete Buttigieg is going to sell that idea that Detroit has other "racist" roads that have to be gotten rid of. It is all shit from shitty people whom you could come across while traveling in Michigan.
Warning announcement! Because of incidents at schools for children and incidents at other places for people in general tied to "Sharia" or "Islamic Law" or even the religion/political system known as "Islam," I now regularly have this paragraph as a part of each edition of Michigan Travel Tips. The governmental system of the United States of America based on The U.S. Constitution and "Sharia" or, informally, Islamic law, are not compatible and cannot co-exist, and one reason is "Sharia" (et cetera) is a political system, in which there is one-party rule, and that one party is basically made up or controlled by religious leaders who base all the ways of their culture or society on "Sharia" or "Islamic Law." Those who uphold and practice "Sharia" have no tolerance for the existence of Christianity or Buddhism or Hinduism or non-religion, and that is a fact, and "Sharia" is a political system in which women are second-rate human bodies and in which clergy can be involved in determining business transactions, and there is no "freedom of speech" tied to politics in a society related to "Sharia." When you travel around Michigan and in other states of the country, watch for signs that rotten people are trying to teach you or family members, especially children, that "Sharia" is good and "Allah" is good and teach you or family members that the United States of America is bad and that, for instance, Christianity and Buddhism and Hinduism are bad, which I have evidence is happening and which is being brought about by people who are clearly working to make "Sharia" a dominant political system in the world (it is a political system as rotten as socialism and fascism and communism are, since it promotes violence and thuggery and coercion, and it promotes killing of non-followers behind the face of religion and a god, Allah). By the way, a society based on "Sharia" really creates nothing in the long run and does not advance the human society as a whole since it is too busy suppressing the ideas of people and keeping the ideas of the society based on ways of only a few minds up front (the political leaders), whose main purpose is to keep themselves enriched through the work of others, the many--it is a gang-run society really. Yes, if you run across people pushing the idea that Muslim stuff--particularly the true The Quran and not the translations of The Quran that are faked to hide the true nature of Islam--is better than the U.S. is, especially to little children, go public and make it known to other good people and fight back against it.
When government people dictate that something related to making products gets done, the result is almost always crap, and one reason for that is government people only know (supposedly) government things, such as procedures, and, today, because of the whims and wishes of government people, I say that the "heritage" of the automobile for the future is being affected aversely. "Heritage"--this word in used in the name of more than one automobile museum in Michigan. For example, the Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum has the word "heritage" in the name. For a number of decades, the museum has existed at 100 East Cross Street, but the building for the museum has been tied to the automobile in a big way since 1927, when it began to be used as a dealership, and over the next several decades, such as vehicles as Hudsons and Ramblers were sold at the location. Today, one of the main attractions of the museum is a 1952 Hudson Hornet (in race-car form). By the way, my files show that the building is located in what has been called the "Depot Town" area by some people, and people still consider the building for the museum in the "Depot Town" area. The museum has materials related to the selling of vehicles at the former dealership location, such as advertising materials, and, of course, one of the main collections deals with the Hudson automobile company. Each year--usually--the operators of the museum hold special events, and one of those is the "Orphan Car Show," which did not take place in 2020 and 2021 and did take place in 2022 (September), and the museum is tied to "cruise nights" from time to time. The "car shows" can attract a bunch of vehicles for display, which is in contrast to the museum, which only has a small collection of vehicles, such as several Corvair models. The Corvair was a car made by General Motors Corporation in the 1960s, and each had the engine in the back (in what most people call the trunk), and one of the other vehicles of the collection is a white 1954 Kaiser Darrin. I could say that the museum is lucky to have the 1954 Kaiser Darrin, since so few were made; it is not as if it was like the Chevy Bel-Air, which was made by the thousands and thousands and thousands, such as in the 1950s. The Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum is open from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on a Tuesday-through-Sunday basis. And if you have not figured it out yet, I state that the Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum is located in the city of Ypsilanti, which is in Washtenaw County of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.
There has been a big push on by government officials--especially Democrats (such as Pete Buttigieg), who are socialists and communists and progressives and such rotten people--over the last few years to get the makers of autos and such to stop making oil-based-operated vehicles and to only make electric-type vehicles. In essence, the push is fascism in the pure form, since it is government people telling the private section what to make and when to make it and what not to make, even if it will lead to crap, and I say that it will lead to crap for the country. The "transitioning" is not based on sound thinking and reality, such as about how the country will end up with enough useful batteries (the making process of which is highly destructive of the environment and tied to enemy countries) to run enough vehicles, and I point out that the underlying push is tied to the fake theme that man is killing the planet by using "carbon" (such as gasoline). General Motors Corporation has taken up work to "transition" from, for example, gas-powered cars to EVs, and the managers of General Motors Corporation have made no real public push back against the "transition" that will show why the "transition" will fail for most people in the country in the long run. For a number of years, General Motors Corporation has had a place called the GM Heritage Center, which is yet located at 6400 Center Drive in Sterling Heights, Michigan, and it houses hundreds of old vehicles and countless old photograph and history documents related to General Motors Corporation. The place is not open to the public at the moment. Recently, it was reported by General Motors Corporation that the GM Heritage Center was going to be moved from Sterling Heights to Grand Blanc, Michigan, which is sort of near where General Motors Corporation history got started--Flint, Michigan [which is no great city]. I report the news on the move--the "transition"--while thinking the "heritage" of General Motors Corporation is "transitioning" to bad times, and it will on display in Grand Blanc soon, though the "idiotic-heritage days" are already in mind by a few good people, such as me. And I have this crappy note to pass along. In the past, I have shown off stuff related to my making of a model of 40 Mile Point Lighthouse, the real lighthouse of which is located along Lake Huron and about seven miles north of Rogers City, Michigan. To make the finished display unit for the model, I bought some little things (in O scale) at P & D Hobby Shop (31280 Groesbeck, Fraser, Michigan), and, for instance, I got five little men (who I turned in to guys who look like lighthouse-keeper guys), tiny barrels, little tools (like an axe), and some tiny, tiny kerosine lamps. In essence, the store was closed down in July 2022 (which I only recently discovered). That means I cannot get stuff at P & D Hobby Shop anymore, such as little things that I might use to add to my model unit of The Mackinaw WAG-83 or The Mackinaw WAGB-83 that I am yet working on. The closing of P & D Hobby Shop leaves the Detroit area and Michigan and the United States of America with one less place where model train-like stuff can be seen and found and bought, and there were already few places to go, and that shows once more how younger people do not really do anything (and it shows that the demand for special supplies that are needed to make unique things is going down more). Rats!
Oh, speaking of rats, I have this. I found a dead rat on the side walk (along Nine Mile Road) not far from the city hall of Ferndale, Michigan, a few weeks ago. I have heard downtown Ferndale, which is a socialistic-communistic focused place in Michigan, is having trouble with rats. I saw some proof! [It reminds me of San Francisco, California.]

P.S. #2: While you travel in Michigan, it is easy to come across evidence of rotten people or to meet rotten people. One really rotten man is Richard Bernstein, who is a new member to the Supreme Court for the State of Michigan. Yet, on Monday, January 12, 2015, the Detroit Free Press did a story about Richard Bernstein to sell Richard Bernstein as something good, though he is not (Ahern, Louise Knott. "State's 1st blind justice aims to be inspiration." Detroit Free Press, 12 January 2014, p. 4A.). I report--I urge anyone who runs a business and loses a court case in which Richard Bernstein was one of the presiding judges to have the decision thrown out or killed through another case, since Richard Bernstein, while running to be elected to the Supreme Court of Michigan, made it clear that he was going to be biased against businesses if he were to be elected to the Supreme Court of Michigan, and that is a fact. Richard Bernstein is a rotten man!
