Special Important Announcement

See the opening announcement in the edition of Television History and Trivia for this month, since it shows information about ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, and ciclesonide (or Alvesco).  The three drugs have helped people with COVID-19, but, for instance, many people in the media have worked to put down the drugs or ignore the drugs since about March 2020, and, in essence, the Democratic Party has kept quiet about the three drugs.  To see the edition of Television History and Trivia for this month, use this T.H.A.T. #208 link.

In the summer of 2020, people were not only dealing with COVID-19 (or the coronavirus) and Democrats who were undermining possible helpful medicines related to COVID-19, but also people in some cities were dealing with rioters (related to the Democratic Party principles of communism and socialism and progressivism), who were looting and wrecking things unhindered by Democratic Party-related people in goverment, such as mayors.  The rioting was like the rioting of the late 1960s, such as in Detroit, which was fueled by, for one, black socialists and communists, such as those who were looking for power for themselves in the Detroit area, and Coleman Young was one of the rising communists in Detroit of the time, and he ended up as a mayor in Detroit, such as around the 1970s and 1980s, when burning down houses, such as during "Devil's Night" times, was commonplace.  Today, Detroit has a lot of bare land where buildings, especially houses, once stood.  I have seen flat lands of residential areas for years while driving in Detroit, and I have seen images and videos on the Internet recently.  The result that Detroit is is what the themes of communism and socialism from blacks did to Detroit, which a few years ago had to file for bankurptcy protection.  Democrats, who are communists and socialists and progressives and liberals and the like, seem to only think of the moment (for themselves), and that leads to death of communities, and that is why I avoid talking about Detroit in editions of Michigan Travel Tips usuallly, but this edition of Michigan Travel Tips does go to places in Detroit, some of which are gone (which is not a surprise toi me), and the document goes to other places.

On Monday, July 12, 2021, Kamala Harris (as the vice president of the U.S.) showed up in Detroit, and like many jackass blacks, she spoke crap to the people of Detroit, and some of the crap was reported as good by the Detroit Free Press, a communistic newspaper.  On Tuesday, July 13, 2021, Kristen Jordan Shamus and Chanel Stitt had a story in the newspaper about Kamala Harris published on two pages [Shamus, Kristen Jordan, and Chanel Stitt.  "Harris; Deetroit key to fighting virus."  Detroit Free Press, 13 July 2021, pp. 1A and5A..].  Look at the beginning of the article, which shows what crap that Kristen Jordan Shamus and Chanel Stitt and Kamala Harris were working to sell as good--"The Detroit Youth Choir sang 'The Star-Spangled Banner' and a crowd of people at Detroit's TCF Center cheered Monday as Vice President Kamala Harris took to the podium to speak during her first visit to Michigan since the 2020 election.  'I've been here many times, so I say this with knowledge; Detroit really is the definition of resilience,' she said.  'Time and time again, this city has been rebuilt.  This city has been reborn. Time and again, this city has helped lead our nation through war, through recession, and mowt recently through this pandemic....'."  And I say--Many children of Detroit, who happen to be black, cannot read and write well, and more than 50 percent of the adults are functionally illiterate, and the city is loaded with flat land filled with weeds.  What happened in the past because of other people (most of whom are long dead) has no bearing on today.  The people who showed up to see Kamala Harris are more of the bad people whom you could meet in Michigan while traveling in Michigan.  Fortunately for you, Kamala Harris is not in the state daily.

Yes, Michigan has communists and socialists in it, especially in the Ferndale, Royal Oak, and Ann Arbor areas, and Governor of Michigan Gretchen Whitmer is one of the hard-liners--a killer, which is the nature of the socialist and the communist, especially when the person is a female who does not get her way (such as their dictates for ways of life for others).  There is nothing good about a socialist or a communist, and they fully make up the Democratic Party in the United States of America--the ideas of which Gretchen Whitmer upholds fully--and there are a few communists and socialists in the Republican Party today, such as U.S. Senator Mitt Romney, whose history does have ties to Michigan.  While traveling in Michigan, I sometimes think of those who did something to protect others and make their lives better, unlike Gretchen Whitmer, whose crappy decisions did lead to the deaths of people in nursing homes because of rules about placing people with COVID-19 in nursing homes and who pushes the idea that the medical community is Michigan is racist against blacks (a theme alone that shows the rottenness of her mind).  There was once a man called John R. Scheel.  He was born in 1898.  He lived in the Chicago area much of his life.  During World War I, he enlisted into the U.S. Marines (at a young age), and around April 1918, people in the country learned in newspapers (such as in the Grand Folks Herald of April 26, 1918, page 7, under "FIRST MARINE CASUALTY LIST IS MADE PUBLIC") that John R. Scheel was wounded in action in France recently, but the article did not tell how he was wounded, as it did not for dozens and dozens of other men (soldiers).  I learned the story decades later that John R. Scheel got gased in France, and he spent about two years in hospital in France.  When he returned to the United States of America, John R. Scheel attended the University of Detroit, from which he was graduated in 1929.  On October 15, 1929, he was working as a water inspector in Detroit, and on that day, trouble happened in a well hole--gas was leaking from somewhere down below.  Two men (Tony Scarlini and Chipanelli Francisco) down below were killed by gas on that day.  Doing rescue work, John R. Scheel and another man (Clarence Nacker) were injured and put in hospital.  John R. Scheel (then living at 1540 Elmhurst Avenue or the Arthur Antisdel Apartments) survived a gasing once again--while trying to save others.  It is odd that, for many years, John R. Scheel later worked as an engineer for a natural-gas-related company, the Central Indiana Gas Company.  In the late 1960s, John R. Scheel (retired from the Indiana Gas Company, where he had been from 1940 to March 31, 1964) set up living permanantly in a place in the northeastern region of Michigan--along Lake Huron.  On February 10,1974, John R. Scheel died.  Today, a person can see that at least John R. Scheel did some good things.  Gretchen Whitmer--another angry piss-ass woman--has done nothing good really.  Good to her is to push communistic and socialistic ways on people, like those of the "Feminist Movement," and that always leads to death, and to her, getting rid of pipelines is good, such as the Enbridge Line 5 Pipeline system, two parts or legs of which are underwater in the Straits of Mackinac.  Gretchen Whitmer's mind is another mind pushing the manmade-global-warming myth.  By the way, at 2:41 a.m. (EST) on August 10, 1953, the first bit of that pipe that is now in the Straits of Mackinac touched water while being installed, which involved hundreds of men.  Gretchen Whitmer is another evil woman, like so many others in the United States of America, who have been put in places of authority simply because they are women who think that they deserve to get something because they are women and should get an easy path to what men had mostly done in the past, though they are unqualified--each having a mind (often a little-girl mind)  that cannot help but kill people in the long run during the work to help them reach their defective goals about the world and life and their standards of equality.  Gretchen Whitmer is a woman in Michigan who must be hated!  Teach it!  Remember that while traveling in Michigan, which is something that true men--not feminized men--teach.

Hey, let us have some fun doing something different.  In July 2021, I did a little research about some people's homes, after having added information (a long paragraph) to my history document about WAYN-AM radio and the Wayne University Broadcasting Guild (which can be reached through this WAYN-AM link) and creating a new document about WKMH-AM and WKNR-AM of Dearborn, Michigan (which can be reached at the website for The Hologlobe Press by using this WKMH-AM and WKNR-AM link).  This fun is really related to the document about WAYN-AM, and what I added to that document was information about the Wayne University Broadcasting Guild from 1938 to 1960.  A part of that information was about a man known as Richard Stein, who wrote some scripts for radio shows around 1939 as a graduate student at the Wayne University (which would later become known as Wayne State University), and around 1939, Richard Stein lived at 16555 Washburn, Detroit.  When I learned that address, I wondered whether or not the building at 16555 Washburn was still standing, given over the last fifty years or so a lot of buildings have been burned down or destroyed in Detroit and are no longer around.  I found through an Internet search that the building--a house--was indeed still standing, and it was not in too bad of shape.  In the middle of the 1940s, a man named James Lipton was a member of the Wayne University Broadcasting Guild, and a member like him was considered an "apprentice" (which was an undergraduate student or a grad student).  James Lipton became the man who years later would host Inside the Actors Studios, a television series on the Bravo cable channel, and that happened in 1994.  James Lipton as a student of Wayne University was living at 1938 Burlingame, Detroit.  That place is gone!  There is only bare land or flat land at the location today.  In the 1940s--at least from for some time between October 1943 and August 1946 (which was interrupted by a stint in the military)--Seymour Altman was a member of the Wayne University Broadcasting Guide, and then Seymour Altman lived at 2511 Taylor, Detroit.  That house, which is a duplex, still exists today.  I could say that, officially, the house at 2511 Taylor is one of the really historic houses related to entertainment industry in Detroit, though it is not in a league with "The Historic Owen Stanley Fawcett House of 1894" of Detroit, which I talk about in the docment about WAYN-AM.  You see, Seymour Altman was known as "Bob Seymour" and then "Bob 'Robin' Seymour" and then "Robin Seymour" between 1947 and 1971 (at least) in Detroit radio history and Detroit television history, and he was mostly known for doing work for WKMH-AM (starting in 1947), which later became known as WKNR-AM (Kenner13), and on CKLW-TV, Channel 9 (Windsor, Ontario, Canada), and some of his history is talked about in both radio history documents that I have mentioned in this paragraph.  On November 4, 1960, Sheila Rose Ashe was living on, basically, the campus of Wayne University, living at 5440 Cass Avenue, which was the address for The Belmont Hotel (as it has been known mostly since 1926, when it was opened up for business).  On that November day of 1960, Sheila Rose Ashe was crowned in the Mart Room of the Student Center building--she was crowned the first "Miss Wayne University Broadcasting Guild" (or "Miss WUBG"), and it was in a time when women still wanted to be like women and be in contests like beauty contests.  Sheila Rose Ashe was not a "nonbinary" or a "birthing person," which are two of the names used to describe some women today--jackasses and defects.  If you wish to take a virtual trip to some historic houses or buildings of Detroit, think about seeing the places of at least three of the addresses that I have reported that buildings are still standing, such as the house for the man who was known for hosting the afternoon radio show called Bobbin' with Robin.  By the way, it looks as if Sheila Rose Ashe, who got married in January 1962, is still living, and she is living as Sheila Rose Lipschutz.

Hey, try this.  Go on the Internet.  See what exists at 1540 Elmhurst Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, today, which is where, on October 15, 1929, John R. Scheel was living--the Arthur Antisdel Apartments.

Oh, on July 29, 2021, a truly rotten man of Michigan died, and that man was shit-face former U.S. Senator Carl Levin, one of the rotten "Levin" brothers of Michigan politics, and the Detroit Free Press pushed the idea on July 31, 2021, that Carl Levni was "'Mr. Integrity'", and I report that Michigan is now a little better, given Carl Levin was a pusher of socialism and communism and progressivism and liberalism and the like, and that is news to keep in mind.

Warning announcement!  Because of incidents at schools for children and incidents at other places for people in general tied to "Sharia" or "Islamic Law" or even the religion/political system known as "Islam," I now regularly have this paragraph as a part of each edition of Michigan Travel Tips.  The governmental system of the United States of America based on The U.S. Constitution and "Sharia" or, informally, Islamic law, are not compatible and cannot co-exist, and one reason is "Sharia" (et cetera) is a political system, in which there is one-party rule, and that one party is basically made up or controlled by religious leaders who base all the ways of their culture or society on "Sharia" or "Islamic Law."  Those who uphold and practice "Sharia" have no tolerance for the existence of Christianity or Buddhism or Hinduism or non-religion, and that is a fact, and "Sharia" is a political system in which women are second-rate human bodies and in which clergy can be involved in determining  business transactions, and there is no "freedom of speech" tied to politics in a society related to "Sharia."  When you travel around Michigan and in other states of the country, watch for signs that rotten people are trying to teach you or family members, especially children, that "Sharia" is good and "Allah" is good and teach you or family members that the United States of America is bad and that, for instance, Christianity and Buddhism and Hinduism are bad, which I have evidence is happening and which is being brought about by people who are clearly working to make "Sharia" a dominant political system in the world (it is a political system as rotten as socialism and fascism and communism are, since it promotes violence and thuggery and coercion, and it promotes killing of non-followers behind the face of religion and a god, Allah).  By the way, a society based on "Sharia" really creates nothing in the long run and does not advance the human society as a whole since it is too busy suppressing the ideas of people and keeping the ideas of the society based on ways of only a few minds up front (the political leaders), whose main purpose is too keep themselves enriched through the work of others, the many--it is a gang-run society really.  Yes, if you run across people pushing the idea that Muslim stuff--particularly the true The Quran and not the translations of The Quran that are faked to hide the true nature of Islam--is better than the U.S. is, especially to little children, go public and make it known to other good people and fight back against it.

Over the years, I have talked about the statues made by Moran Iron Works of Onaway, Michigan, and I have noted how a new statue gets a premiere before the public during the annual 4th of July Parade at Onaway.  This year, the statue, which I saw up close, was a dragon, and, by the way, I was one of the first spectators to photograph of dragon, since I was standing at the spot for the beginning of the parade.  That dragon will not end up at Awakon Park of Onaway, where other works from Tom Moran and his associates have been for a while.  On July 22, 2021, I learned that Tom Moran (the inspiration of the scultpure program) is pulling his sculptures (which are made of metal) from Awakon Park soon, since, for example, some people have been spraying paint on them.  Some jackasses--probably local jackasses--took up being screw-ups, and now the park will be a little more vacant for--everyone.  [Jakey, Peter.  "Moran plans to remove sculptures from Awakon Park." Presque Isle County Advance, 22 July 2021, p. 3.]

My files show that there are dozens of true historical houses in Michigan, often watched over by historical societies.  Some are lighthouses, such as the 40 Mile Point Lighthouse (a model of which I can look at while typing this document at a house in an upper area of the Lower Peninsula of the state).  There are The Curwood Castle, The Davidson Home, The Grice House, The Kimball House, The Moross House, The Thomson House, and the Tromley House.  In the "Cranbrook" complex  of Bloomfield Hills (of Oakland County of the Lower Peninsula), there is a house known as The Cranbrook House (which is related to a famous designer known as Albert Kahn).  Little gets mentioned is seems of another house tied to "Cranbrook."  That place is The Eliel Saarinen House (or simply the Saarinen House).  In fact, over the years, the place seems to have gotten little publicity because I have heard little mention of it.  The Eliel Saarinen House is officially located at 1 Academy Way [Note: One way to get there is to go to the intersection of Woodward Avenue and Lone Pine Road in Oakland County of the Lower Peninsula, and then get on westbound Lone Pine Road, and head to Academy Way, and then go north to the house.].  The place is a high-end house, which has been restored, and it officially is still standing, as I could see through a satellite-like search, which was like what I did with other addresses listed in this document.  Of course, I could not see inside the house from the satellite shots and the outdoor shots (from vehicles) that made images of the house to see.  Of course, still photographs of the place exist on the Internet, some of which I saw.  To see the inside of the house in person, you have to book a tour through the Cranbrook Center for Collections and Research, either through a telephone call or an Internet contact.  The regular tours are given on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 3:00 p.m. at least this summer, and a regular tour costs $20.00 for an adult, and students get a reduced price.  Private tours are offered, and they cost $50.00 for adults.  Each tour lasts about 75 minutes.  What you will see is a lot of history of the first half or so of the 1900s, since The Eliel Saarinen House has been restored with original furnishings related to the 1900s.  Hold it!  You will find no chairs or anything to sit on in the house, and you will find to public restrooms in the house, so keep that in mind if you wish to tour the house.  Of course, you may not see the house this year, since you will be going to another famous historic house or famous historic houses in Michigan, such as The Moross House, The Mann House, and The Hackley House.

I still really like and think about regularly "The Historic Owen Stanley Fawcett House of 1894" of Detroit, which I ran around in for a bunch of years in the 1970s and which was made passe around 1986.

    Enjoy your traveling in Michigan!

And keep aware of the rotten people in Michigan.

    Stay well!

    Victor

P.S. #1: Remember: While you travel in Michigan, remind your children or grandchildren that they should never pledge to be a "servant to Obama" or a servant to any politician or sing the praises of Barack Obama, and to help you remember other matters that you should teach children about bad politicians, such as Barack Obama (who can be described as an "enslave"), see such other documents of mine as Conservatism for Children and What Conservatism Means (which can be reached through this link: Conservatism) and Lessons for Children about Politics and Dangerous People (which can be reached through this link: Children).  (Note: I first passed along the subject of not being a "servant to Obama" and the like in the publication entitled T.H.A.T. #58, which can be reached through this link: T.H.A.T. #58.)

P.S. #2: While you travel in Michigan, it is easy to come across evidence of rotten people or to meet rotten people. One really rotten man is Richard Bernstein, who is a new member to the Supreme Court for the State of Michigan.  Evidence of his rottenness can be found in my document entitled Richard Bernstein--A Man Who Hopes You Are Blind to His Rottenness, which can be reached through this Bernstein link.  Yet, on Monday, January 12, 2015, the Detroit Free Press did a story about Richard Bernstein to sell Richard Bernstein as something good, though he is not (Ahern, Louise Knott.  "State's 1st blind justice aims to be inspiration."  Detroit Free Press, 12 January 2014, p. 4A.).  I report--I urge anyone who runs a business and loses a court case in which Richard Bernstein was one of the presiding judges to have the decision thrown out or killed through another case, since Richard Bernstein, while running to be elected to the Supreme Court of Michigan, made it clear that he was going to be biased against businesses if he were to be elected to the Supreme Court of Michigan, and that is a fact.  Richard Bernstein is a rotten man!

Your travel tip in this edition of Michigan Travel Tips is:

The Eliel Saarinen House, 1 Academy Way, related to "Crankbrook," Oakland County, the Lower Peninsula.
