There is no rule that says television has to be this or that.  It is what it is at the moment.  There is bad; for example, there is propaganda pushed by communists and socialists, such as through newscasts, especially those of the broadcast networks and PBS.  There is good; for example, there is I Spy (played in repeats).  From time to time, television has something that can be praised and something that can be trashed.  Look at what I came across on television recently or did in relation to television in recently.

The first main topic for this edition of T.H.A.T. is the news teams at WDIV-HD (Channel 4), WJBK-HD (Channel 2), and WXYZ-HD (Channel 7).  In T.H.A.T. #68, which can be reached through this T.H.A.T. #68 link, I talked about the numbers of staffers in the news departments at these three television stations and two other stations, and, really, what I did was look at the change in the numbers at the stations related to the fall of 2007, the fall of 2008, and the fall of 2009.  I recently finished a survey for the fall of 2010, and I now pass along results.  First, I note that, since the fall of 2009, several big-name staffers have left WXYZ-HD, and they are Steve Wilson, Erik Smith, Jerry Hodak (who did weather), Peggy Agar, and Robbie Timmons, so it looks as if the station has cut back a bit in the salary department since last fall, but since last fall, Scott Lewis did move from WJBK-HD to WXYZ-HD.  Generally speaking, the news-staff count (related to news anchors, news anchors/reporters, and reporters) at WXYZ-HD has remained the same in my count (or my odd way of counting) from last fall to this fall, and the number is 21.  At WDIV-HD, the new-staff count is up three from last fall to this fall, and my number is now at 22.  And at WJBK-HD, the news-staff count is up one from last fall to this fall, and the count is at 25.  (By the way, what confuses the count at WJBK-HD is so many of the staffers are hosts on the weekday morning show, which runs 4:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.)

Oh, I must make a note about one anchor at WJBK-HD--Anqunette Jamison often comes off as fake and phony and stiff.

Oh, WMYD-HD, Channel 20, still runs a newscast at 10:00 p.m. on weekdays, and it is called MY TV 20 News at 10.  The newscast is really a collaboration--it is produced by a national entity, and some parts are made by local reporters.  Since last fall, Sharon McClendon and Kyla Peeples have become two of the four local reporters (and I know not when they started to do their work for the newscast), and the other local two reporters-who are still around--are Dave Leval and Jorge Avellan.

Hold it!  Since I made my survey of the news departments, some new news has come to me.  On Saturday, December 4, 2010, I saw a new reporter on WXYZ-HD, and the reporter was not in my survey.  I see that a gal named Smita Kalokhe is now doing at least weekend work at Channel 7.

Oh, let me show you what nonsense WXYZ-HD staffers believe should be given as news and should not be given any attention.  At about 7:13 p.m., on Saturday, December 4, 2010, Glenda Lewis (a news anchor) got to read a story that noted that a Christian group will soon have a billboard up in the Detroit area that announces that the Jesus will show up on May 21, 2011.  The topic is not news and is a topic that should not be covered in a newscast, given all what else should be covered!  And then at about 7:21 p.m., Dave LewAllen (a news anchor) got to read a story about the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 that Barack Obama would soon sign into law, but it was not mentioned that the new law could result in the federal government regulating what items may and may not be sold at bake sales at public schools (and you are urged to see my document entitled The United States Constitution Needs These Blocking Measures--Amendments, which can be reached by using this link: Blocking).  To me, Dave LewAllen and Glenda Lewis are "low-level thinkers" or, if defined more informally, "fluff heads," good enough to smile and host Rochester Hometown Christmas Parade, which they did on Sunday, December 5, 2010 (from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.), when they did not have to use much of their brains.

Let me expose to you a piece of crap of a man, yet the man is often called upon by MSNBC and such other defective news outlets to give opinions.  Reverend Jesse Jackson, whose son known as Jesse Jackson Jr. is a U.S. Representative (a Democrat related to Illinois), was on The Ed Show on MSNBC on November 10, 2010.  The host of the show--Ed Schultz--asked Reverend Jesse Jackson to comment on what will happen if the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 is repealed, and Reverend Jesse Jackson said (and the quotation, which I transcribed from audio, may not be exactly correct, since Jesse Jackson is a poor speaker or is a truly sloppy talker): "Well, a kind of creeping genocide.  What is hypocritical is that those who vote against a health-care bill, themselves have comprehensive health care for their families.  You're talkin' about more, ah, infant mortality, ah, and short life expectancy.  You're talkin' about more working poor people, more poor people and not on welfare--they're not derelicts, they work.  Half of the veterans, ah, we're homeless, ah, men homeless are veterans.  A million and a half children who are homeless and often go to school without adequate health care.  So, this really is a, a mass march for the kind of humane, ah, a human destruction, likes of which we've never known.  We deserve better."

Lately, I have been pushing the idea that "communism" and "socialism" and "liberalism" and the like should be considered "enslavism," which is a political ideology pushed by people who wish to rule others as kings or dictators and the like, and such persons can be considered "enslavists" or "enslavers" (such persons work to enslave other men and women, and it is their life's work).  "Enslavists," such as "communists," dislike the private sector or businesses, because people in the business world are threats to "enslavists" or "enslavers," because business people can be seen as being higher in stature than enslavists or enslavers are in the community or the country or the world.  Enslavists or enslavers want to have the most power of all that they can, and enslavers and enslavists in the United States of America over the last number of decades have be working to beat down businesses orally and verbally--and that is especially true lately--so that they make citizens come to hate business people.  During the end of the week of Monday, October 4, 2010, and the beginning of the week of Monday, October 11, 2010, people were hearing how Barack Obama and Democrats were attacking an entity known as the "U.S. Chamber of Commerce."  By the way, throughout the United States of America, communities have, as they have had for many decades, entities called "chambers of commerce," and such entities are business organizations that work to promote to people, such as tourists, that they should come to the communities and spend money or use the services of the businesses.  Businesses provide jobs to people, who get money that they can use to live their lives.  Look what happened on Face the Nation on Sunday, October 10, 2010.  David Axelrod was a guest on the program, which is a weekly program shown by CBS-TV, and David Axelrod is a Senior Advisor to Barack Obama, and the host of the show--Bob Schieffer--played a commercial from the Democratic National Committee, which had been released on this day, that, for one, attacked the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.  Keep in mind the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is not a federal-government entity.  The part of the commercial that was played was: "Karl Rove, Ed Gillespie--they're Bush cronies.  The U.S. Chamber of Commerce--they're big schills for big business.  And they're stealing our democracy, spending millions from secret donors to elect Republicans to do their bidding in Congress.  It appears they've even taken secret foreign money to influence our elections.  It's incredible Republicans benefiting from secret foreign money."  Bob Schieffer said, "Now, I want to ask you about that, because The New York Times, ah, looked into the Chamber specifically and said, 'The Chamber really isn't, ah, putting foreign money into the campaign...." and  "...But this part about foreign money, it, that appears to be peanuts, Mr. Axelrod.  I'm mean, eh, eh, do you have any evidence that it's anything other than peanuts?"  David Axelrod then said, "Well, do you have any evidence that it's not, Bob?  The fact is the Chamber [the U.S. Chamber of Commerce] has asserted that, but they won't release any information about where their campaign money is coming from, and that's at the core of the problem here...."  Later, David Axelrod said, "...If the Chamber opens up its books, and says 'Here's where our political money's coming from.  Here are the million dollar, two-million, or three-million dollar contributions we've gotten from this company or that industry.'  Ah, they will know.  But until they do that, all we have is their assertion."  (By the way, the 1907 Tillman Act says that foreign money cannot be used in elections.)   Bob Schieffer then said: "Do you?  I guess I would put it this way.  If, if the only charge three weeks into the election that the Democrats can make is that this somehow, this may or may not be foreign money coming into the campaign, ah, is that the best you can do?"  And David Axelrod said, "No, I think that, dah, we have, ah, ah, ah, more fundamental concern, Bob, which is that the, the Republican Party, the interest groups who are now the, the major force in some of these campaigns want to turn the clock back to the very same policies that got us into this mess in the first place that exploded our deficits, that put the special interests in control to write their own rules--the oil industry, Wall Street, insurance industry--that presided over economic policies...."
To me, David Axelrod sounded like a man with an ill mind who was lashing out.  The tone of his voice was clearly that of a man on the defensive, trying to push a lie.  He sounded at least somewhat desperate, like a little boy trying to cover up something that he had done wrong.
Really, the incident should not be forgotten over the next two years--it should be remembered right up to the election of November 2012.

Advertisement: In March 2009, a book called Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, which had been written by Mark R. Levin, was published.  Through the book, Mark R. Levin talks about how tyranny has been creeping into the country, and he also talks about how the country has been changing from a representative republic, which has a constitution as a basis, to something, yet to be defined, and although Mark R. Levin says that it is the statist who is causing the change, especially those who are a part of the Democratic Party and in government jobs, I say that it is communists, socialists, would-be dictators, and Marxists, such as Barack Obama, who are making the changes, such as by discarding The U.S. Constitution.  I urge you to see and read Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, and pass it on to others, especially teenagers and young adults (and consider listening to The Mark Levin Show, the nationally syndicated radio show, on a regular basis).

Bon Jovi--the highly "Liberal" band-- was once again on Today--this latest time on Friday, November 12, 2010, and I hoped you missed the band or, really, purposely missed the band, knowing it should not be promoted and supported.

Hey!  Did you see the made-for-television movie called The Rosa Parks Story when it was shown in repeat on BET on Sunday, October 3, 2010.  I missed it.  By the way, the movie was first shown on CBS-TV on February 24, 2002.  Oh, did you hear how the Rosa Parks Transit Center, which is a bus terminal in Detroit, has gone to crap since it was opened in July 2009.  It was big news around the week of Monday, November 22, 2010.  To learn more, you should read my document entitled Detroit and Death: A Future View of the United States of America, which can be reached by using this link: Detroit.

Oh, I hoped you missed seeing A Thanksgiving Visit with President and Mrs. Obama: A Barbara Walters Special on ABC-TV on Friday, November 26, 2010, at 10:00 p.m.  It was not listed in TV Guide and another television-program-listings magazine that I saw.  But I did see the show so see Barbara Walters and ABC-TV work to make Barack Obama look good--with family--during the Thanksgiving Day holiday time.  To me, since the program was not listed in television-program-listings magazine, the show was purposely put together at the last moment to make Barack Obama look good and make him seem like a nice family man, like so many family men around the country.  It was a propaganda piece.  You should see the listing for "Friday, November 26, 2010" in my document entitled Nonsense Statements and Quotations of Barack Obama to see some of what was said, and the document can be reached by using the link at the end of this document.

Now, I cover two bits of "liberal" television stuff in short notes.  On Thursday, October 21, 2010, CNN ran a special called Almighty Debt: A Black in America Special, which focused on economic problems of "blacks," and to me, the special, which I did not see, should be considered a racial piece--since CNN through host Soledad O'Brien was pushing the idea that blacks have different economic problems than "whites" or "reds" or "yellows" have.  And I was flipping through the channels on Saturday morning December 4, 2010, and I caught Lester Holt talking with some type of economist, and Lester Holt tried to push the idea that there can be a "jobless recovery," which is a nonsense idea.

And let me get off the digital and go to the analog.  Some analog television stations can still be found around the country, and, generally speaking, they are low-power stations, which I have talked about in the past.  In the Detroit area, one low-power station is WHPR-TV, Channel 33.  On Sunday, December 5, 2010, the station held a "mortgage burning" at about 2:18 p.m., and it was an event that came about after the station had gotten, for one, people to send in money so that the stated owner of the station--R.J. Watkins--could pay off the mortgage loan.  For the most part, the station passes along socialism and communism and Black Liberation Theology to the naive and ignorant in Detroit, and a good example of that is the program called The Young Effect (hosted by Coleman Young Jr.), and one of the really detective thinkers with programs on the station is a man called "The Son of Man," who regularly gives teachings in front of a podium.  Yes, a bunch of people have given money, such as part of the "Three Year Plan," to have people at the station keep pushing nonsense ways of life, despite fully aware Detroit has falling apart under the current nonsense ways of life that have been used.

Special commentary:  So, I watched WHPR-TV on Saturday, December 4, 2010--around midday--and on Sunday, December 5, 2010, from about 10:00 a.m. to 2:25 p.m., and I have to make some comments about what I saw, particularly on Sunday.  From about 10:00 a.m. to 12:18 p.m., the station seemed to run a recording of some of what was shown on Saturday, and what it was was programming hosted by J.D. Hill.  At one point, J.D. Hill talked with R. J. Watkins in a telephone segment, and R.J. Watkins noted that he had had people come up to him and had asked why he would have "The Son of Man" on the air, and R.J. Watkins tried to explain why (which I will not present directly here).  From about 12:18 p.m. to 1:58 p.m. on Sunday, December 5, 2010, The Son of Man gave what could be informally called a "lecture."  To me, The Son of Man did another one of his rambling talks, which even included mentioning something about going to Mars and praising the "brother" Barack Obama.  The Son of Man gave his "lecture" while wearing a shiny suit and sunglasses (when I have seen his presentations over the last few years, The Son of Man has always worn sunglasses, and it is as if he is trying to hide his eyes and what people can see in him--something not nice and not good--through his eyes).  The "lecture" began with The Son of Man praising "Allah."  While The Son of Man was talking, a crawl noted that people could send "Tithes" or "offerings" to the New Nation of Islam, which, if you are unaware, is a "radical" organization, working for liberating "blacks" (from whatever I am unaware) and secretly working to enslave people with tyranny, such as women (think "Sharia," and see my document entitled Sharia Law, Shariah-Compliant Finance, Radical Islam, and Barack Obama, which can be reached by using this Sharia link, and think about street thugs and crooks and hustlers using intimidation and violence on nice guys and gals).  Also it was announced during the "lecture" that all "tithes and offerings belong to the Lord."  Such a scam that thought is, and I say that the idea was pushed to persuade the naive and ignorant that they were doing "God's work" or the "Lord's work"; by the way, some people were ignorant enough to send in "$700" (as noted by The Son of Man in his "lecture") during the recent telethon.  Really, The Son of Man pushed the idea of "friendship," and he was promising that he was going to help bring more money to viewers in the future or make their "pockets rich," but he was asking for donations and saying, basically, you are not going to "miss" what you send in.  (Have you heard about the scam in which a con artist says that his money is tied up in a foreign country for some reason and if you will give him money, he will be able to free the money and you will get a return on your investment--some great amount of money?)  The Son of Man--who tries to push "friendship" and people' coming together--is really a charlatan and a scam artist!  Oh, during the telephone interview between J.D. Hill and R.J. Watkins (which I caught on Saturday and in repeat on Sunday), R.J. Watkins hinted that he was sort of coming together with The Son of Man in a "merger."  It was at about 1:58 p.m. on Sunday, December 5, 2010, when The Son of Man signed a check (for $59,458.84) and gave the check to R.J. Watkins, and then there were was filler stuff (such as with J.D. Hill, Henry Tyler, and James Campbell), and then the "mortgage" was burned in a mesh-like wastebasket at about 2:12 p.m., and I think of the event as the point when The Son of Man got his hooks deeper into R.J. Watkins and Henry Tyler but not necessarily deeper into Hodo (the host of The Hodo Show, which gets broadcast on Sundays for two hours beginning at 10:00 p.m.), another pusher of the New Nation of Islam's black radial philosophy on WHPR-TV and a man who often wears sunglasses to try to hide--what I might call "his sole"--from other people.  It seems to me R.J. Watkins could have always been sympathetic to the New Nation of Islam, which means he has been selling out good blacks for years, such as those older black gals who call in into J.D. Hill (a friend of The Son of Man and the man who, it seems, introduced The Son of Man to R.J. Watkins) looking for kind words and then getting sucked into donating--maybe what little they have--to what will enslave them.  If R.J. Watkins has been a little naive, he will now soon learn he has been "enslaved" by some really bad people, as will be Henry Tyler (who seems to be really, really naive).  By the way, I see that R.J, Watkins hopes to start airing his Late Night Entertainment again, which years ago was a locally produced program carried by WGPR-TV, Channel 62.

On Tuesday, December 7, 2010, Barack Obama had a press conference.  During the conference, Barack Obama gave a "lecture" to his constituants and showed periods of anger, and, as usual, he passed along lies, such as noting that, in the near future, the Republican Party will likely work to increase taxes on the Middle Class, which is nonsense.  Barack Obama showed his hate for "whites," as he had in the past.  To see highlights of the event and proof of what I say, you are urged to see the entry for "Tuesday, December 7, 2010," of my document entitled Nonsense Statements and Quotations of Barack Obama, which can be reached by using the link at the end of this document.

Now, I say in jest, "Yes, those news people like Barbara Walters really are keeping you informed and telling you good things and telling you truthful things."  On November 30, 2010, a lot of news organizations, such as USA Today and The Seattle Times, passed along a story distributed by The Associated Press that was truly a propaganda piece filled with lies and wrong information, which would fill minds with defective ideas about the world.  USA Today called the story "End of unemployment benefits would hurt economy," and The Seattle Times called the story "Cutting back unemployment benefits would hurt the economy, too."  The story was written by Paul Wiseman, and one very bad sentence in the story was: "...Unemployment benefits help drive the economy because the unemployed tend to spend every dollar they get, pumping cash into businesses...."  Only an idiot would believe the thoughts contained within the quoted material.  Basically, the government gets revenue through taxes on businesses and people, and when the government takes away income from businesses and people (through taxes), they have less to spend on things and the government has more to spend on things, and when the government takes away income from businesses and people (through taxes) and then gives that money to people who do not work and have no income, the government is simply shuffling money around, such as from one person to another, and there is an expense involved in shuffling the money around--the pay that goes to government workers, for example--and government workers create nothing--no new asset, such as a bolt or nut or book or door or whatever, which means something or "wealth" is not created.  Taking money from one person to give it to another--especially like those persons in a dead city like Detroit, where communists and such have killed jobs and businesses through their defective political policies--does not create new jobs and boost the economy.  And when the government takes away money from people and businesses through taxation, they cannot create jobs and keep jobs in existence, and that puts more people out of work, which means the government has to pay out more money in unemployment benefits, and when the government needs more money, the government has to tax even more, go into debt (such as through borrowing), or simply print bills and such, which creates inflation, which hurts the economy, because with inflation, it takes more money to buy something than it did in the past.  And on December 1, 2010, Nancy Pelosi (a Democrat related to California (a bankrupt state) and the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives) made a statement at a press conference that backed up the nonsense idea that providing unemployment benefits improves the economy--"...Again, this is the right thing to do, it grows the economy, it creates jobs, it's absolutely necessary that we get it done...."  I say in jest that, if the idea were true, everyone not working for the government should stop working and get unemployment benefits, and that would grow the economy.  Such nonsense Nancy Pelosi and others like her put in the minds of people, and if you believe such nonsense, you are an idiot.  ["Pelosi Remarks at Press Conference Today on Unemployment Insurance."  PR Newswire, 1 December 2010; Wiseman, Paul (of The Associated Press).  "Cutting back unemployment benefits would hurt the economy, too."  The Seattle Times 30 November 2010; Wiseman, Paul, and Christopher S. Rugaber.  "End of unemployment benefits would hurt economy."  USA Today, 30 November 2010.]

Announcement for the novice again: To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, go to Fox News Channel, WorldNetDaily.com, "The Drudge Report," and CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama, as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (to learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the Fox News Channel and those mentioned with it in presenting political stories and events, and you should discover CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV avoid covering things that make Barack Obama look bad or show his true nature, which could harm you).  If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you.

Okay, G8 countries are working to reduce their output of carbon dioxide by 80 percent by 2050.  So what?  The operators of G8 countries can be idiots, even those in the United Kingdom, where the University of East Anglia is--that is the university that has been at the center of pushing the idea of manmade-global-climate change (or whatever the name is used for it at the moment) and that has been shown to be involved in the hoax that is manmade-global-climate change.  Let me show some nonsense that WTVS-HD, Channel 56.1, Detroit, has given viewers since I published the previous edition of  T.H.A.T..  It was on November 16, 2010, and November 23, 2010, that WTVS-HD gave viewers the special known as Beyond the Light Switch.  One of the issues presented in the show was that the electrical grid of the country needs to be updated, and that I will not argue about that here (since over time, everything needs to be expanded or improved and often is without a push by government).  However, a big point pushed in the show was that the country should reduce carbon emissions by 80 percent by 2050, citing "experts."   It has been proven that a bunch of so-called "experts"--communists and socialists--are pushing the hoax about climate change, and Channel 56.1 gave viewers another propaganda piece about manmade global warming!  (To see more about the hoax, you are urged to see my document entitled "CAP AND TRADE" and Carbon Dioxide Facts and Nonsense, which can be reached by using this link: Carbon.)

Public Service Announcement: If you wish to avoid giving a donation to nonprofit groups that support "manmade global warming" legislation or "manmade climate-change" legislation, such as the very bad American Clean Energy and Security Act (which is also known as the Waxman-Markey Bill), give to something better--particularly the Heritage Foundation and the Landmark Legal Foundation, which are organizations that support The U.S. Constitution and are working to defeat Barack Obama's plans to take over the country.   (You should see my document entitled "CAP AND TRADE" and Carbon Dioxide Facts and Nonsense, which can be reached through this link: Carbon.)

I was flipping through the channels on Saturday, November 20, 2010, and at 5:00 p.m.  WDIV-HD, Channel 4, offered viewers a panel-discusison show entitled Finishing the Dream.  The purpose of the show seemed to be to talk about the Civil Rights movement, but while I watched the show, I found that the show rambled and seemed to go nowhere, and the show was choppy--looking like a bunch of simple segments linked together with commercials.  The host was Carmen Harlan, and every so many minutes, Carmen Harlan read from a script, making statements, and Carmen Harlan's read material was stilted, and sometimes when Carmen Harlan asked questions, the voice tone was sickening.  The panel was Carol Goss (of the Skillman Foundation), Kary Moss (ACLU Michigan), Reverend Peter Smith (the New Bethel Baptist Church), Shirley Stancato (of New Detroit), Hassan Jaber (of ACCESS), and Dr. Dan Krichbaum (of the Michigan Department of Civil Rights), and the special had some clips from the past, such as of Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks,  and there was a studio audience of young persons, and they were used to ask a few questions.  The show presented a 2002 report from WDIV-TV reporter Roger Weber, and a 1987 report done by Jim Cummins that was shown during this special hinted that a "renaissance" is going on in Detroit.  However, I say that, today, Detroit is dead and will be dead for decades, and yet Reverend Peter Smith said unconvincingly, "...There's still hope, and there's gonna be a better Detroit....", and Carol Goss sort of made a statement that sounded to me like she was pleading for people to come back to the city.  Oh, by the way, the show praised Barack Obama, though not noting Barack Obama is communist and more and he is bad and is hurting not only the United States of America but also Detroit.  I ask, "What the heck was the reason for Channel 4 to air this one-hour program?"  To me, the show looked like a collection of lost children sitting around and wondering what to do, and the show was such a depressing and desperate presentation, and it was all a bunch of useless shallow talk and flap doodle.  (You are urged to see my document entitled Detroit and Death: A View of a Future United States of America, which can be reached by using this Detroit link, and you are urged to see my document entitled Conservatives and The United States Constitution versus Enslavers and Enslavism (Communism, Sharia, Socialism, et cetera), which can be reached by using this Enslavism link, and you are urged to see my document entitled An Erotic Tale at Horror Castle, which can be reached by using this Castle link.)

Commentary: So another session of Dancing with the Stars is done.  I say that Bristol Palin was not good enough to win, given what little of the series that I saw, and she did not win.  However, I say that Jennifer Grey should not have won, and, in fact, she should never have been in the contest, having been, in essence, a semi-pro-dancer--a lead actress in Dirty Dancing (1987).  The entire Dancing with the Stars season was nonsense, pitting a Dirty Dancing star--someone who had become beloved over the decades for being in a dance/romance movie--against the others.  Dancing with the Stars screwed up!

Let me now pass along some notes about some locally produced or sort of locally produced shows.  In T.H.A.T. #76, I talked about a show entitled Old Autos Television, and specifically I talked about an episode that I had seen on Saturday, July 24, 2010, on WMYD-HD.  On Saturday, November 20, 2010, at 8:30 a.m., I caught an episode of Street Sport Television, which is the somewhat new title for Old Autos Television (and the new title seemed to show up in early October 2010 for the first time).  Street Sport Television (or S.S.T.) is hosted by Rick Walker, and on the episode that I saw recently, the reporters were Amanda Lee (or Amanda Degenic) and Maggie Yoell, and I can say that this series focuses on customs cars, special cars, car shows, et cetera, and the production company is based across the Detroit River in Canada (somewhere not far from Detroit, Michigan).  The next series I am not sure how to list in a way that would please the producers, but they do not make the title clear (and I will not explain why)--I will use Ariel & Zoey--Eli, Too.  On Friday, November 19, 2010, I tuned into the Retro Television Network and discovered the network was running Ariel & Zoey--Eli, Too, which is a thirty-minute series for children, having songs and a little dancing and some animation.  It is a low-budget production, and three siblings (young children) are the hosts--Ariel Engelbert, Zoey Engelbert, and Eli Engelbert.  The executive producer is Matt Engelbert, who gets the "creator" credit and gets listed as a "developer" of the show with Michael Kudreiko and Susan Leigh, and the studio facility is Gear House Creative, which is in Livonia, Michigan (Livonia is a western suburb of Detroit), so the program is a locally produced show, which seems to be getting a weekly run at 8:30 a.m. on Fridays on the Retro Television Network (at least in Detroit).

A reminder (updated): Remember to tell your children and grandchildren that they should never pledge to be a "servant to Obama" or a servant to any president, which was a topic in T.H.A.T. #58, and remember to tell them to not blindly "believe" in leaders, and that is a lesson in this edition of T.H.A.T., as it was in the past and will be in the future.  By the way, remember, in the "Presidential Video," which is one topic of T.H.A.T. #58, one male says, "I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama."; one female says, "I pledge to be a servant to our president."  And make sure your children and grandchildren are not singing songs at school that praise Barack Obama, which has been done by children at some schools around the country since January 2009, since children should never sing songs that praise any politician, especially a megalomaniac and narcissist like Barack Obama.

Here, I have talk for real guys and not feminized guys and wishy-washy guys (however, real gals may read through this paragraph to learn about what real guys like).  Since roughly mid-November 2010, a lot of media outlets in this country have been talking about the forthcoming marriage of Prince William of England to Kate Middleton; for example, Today has devoted a lot of time to the subject.  I have seen Kate Middleton in photographs, and I guess she is pretty, but she is another gal pushed through the media who has no real shape or had that model look (if she were to take off her clothes, she would not show much that would be roundish and wiggle).  Let me be serious--some gals can go nude, and when they go nude, they have that pleasant look in their eyes and face, and they look comfortable and squeezable and happy and nice--they like being women and they show it off.  Kate Middleton has that shallow look or cardboard look--she is no natural erotic.  I guess Prince William has bought into that skinny model-type that is pushed by the media.  I have not.  So, I say, "Hurray for 'Elvira!'"  Oh, yes, I notice "Elvira," and I notice "Elvira" can be seen in the Detroit area on television.  Elvira (played by Cassandra Peterson) can be seen hosting the movie show entitled Elvira's Movie Macabre on the this network at 1:00 a.m. on Mondays, and, for those who are unaware, Elvira shows those "B"-type horror movies or science-fiction moves of the 1950s and 1960s and so on, as is done by the crew of Off Beat Cinema (which is carried by the Retro Television Network on Sundays at 10:00 p.m.) and Wolfman Mac of Chiller Drive-In (which is carried by the Retro Television Network on Saturdays at 10:00 p.m.).  Yes, Elvira is back with her "pair" and more; the program--a new edition it seems--began to be shown in syndication in September 2010.  (The this network is an over-the-air network shown on Channel 4.2)

Wow!  I finally covered something good to see--Elvira--in this edition of T.H.A.T..  Or did I uncover something worthwhile to see in this edition of T.H.A.T.?

Oh, young men, there is a difference between reality and fantasy.  While Elvira could be a bloodsucker, Cassandra Peterson seems to be a vegetarian (such nonsense is vegetarianism).  Do not get lost in fantasy!

Remember: The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s, and I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.

Stay well!

P.S. #1: The telephone number of the U.S. Congressional Switchboard is: 1-202-224-3121.  (Use it to fight against the creation of a national-health-care system, especially a system pushed through law by a defective thinker, a man who has created nothing, and a man whose history is mostly filled with tearing things down, a man who continually puts down the U.S.A.--Barack Obama.  By the way, one of the more recent events in which he put down the entire business community of the country took place on Wednesday May 13, 2009, and you should see the second entry for Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in the document entitled Nonsense Statements and Quotations of Barack Obama).

P.S. #2: Do not forget that, since late 2008, I have put within editions of Michigan Travel Tips information about "green technology," "global warming" stuff, and "climate change" stuff, and to get to the catalog for all the Michigan Travel Tips publications, use this link: Travel.
