The reasons for the type of goals that exist in the minds of the insane are many.  Barack Obama might want to kill the United States of America to make up for whites' keeping blacks in slavery in the country today, for taking down Saddam Hussein (who was like his brother to Barack Obama or like another dictator), for allowing others to be more important than he is, et cetera, and the speech made by Barack Obama of October 15, 2009, in San Francisco shows his mind is set on changing the world, and the only way to do that is to kill the United States of America so that the United States of America cannot fight against tyrannical people that wish to take over countries, such as Hugo Chavez (the dictator of Venezuela) is trying to do in relation to countries near Venezuela.  Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Chuck Schumer, et cetera might want to kill the United States of America so that they can make a paradise in which all is right--the left way, which is failed theory about what nature is and how nature works best.  Yes, bad times are ahead for the United States of America, which is not too big to fail, since the insane have taken over government positions, and the bad times, which should last at least through this century, will very likely include a soon-to-come world-wide depression, because when a country that is setting a standard for other countries to achieve and that gives other countries economic business is damaged (purposely in this case), the other countries are damaged even more and sink even more).  (You should see the entry for October 15, 2009,  in my document entitled Nonsense Statements and Quotations of Barack Obama, a link to which exists at the end of this document).

Well, that gives you a shocking start to this edition of T.H.A.T., and although it is a prediction on my part, it is supported by facts, and, in any good editorial, there must be facts, and, in this case, the facts exist--from the new super-deep budget deficits that have been created by Barack Obama this year, the disregard for human life (related to the killing of the elderly that is being proposed by Barack Obama, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, and Robert Reich through a national health-care plan), et cetera....

Now, let me explain a "shakedown" for all those who have not experienced it or for those who probably will soon.  In a shakedown, a person could say to another person, "You do this, or I will stick a knife up your nose!"  The other person has been given a choice.  Barack Obama, who is a piece of crap, is a shakedown artist and condones shakedowns.  Evidence of this can be seen in my documents entitled Madness in a President and Other Matters of a Defective Mind and Frank Beckmann Interviews Tom Lauria, an Attorney in Chrysler Mess, which talk about Barack Obama's strong-arm pressure put on bond holders involved with Chrysler earlier this year, and, of course, main media people did not report on Barack Obama's strong-arm pressure put on the bond holders, and that shows main media people, such as those at NBC News and MSNBC, like corruption in government.  And then on October 14, 2009, U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann (a Republican related to Minnesota) was on The Mark Levin Show (which is a nationally syndicated radio show) and talked about other strong-arm tactics that Barack Obama likes to use, and the topics were ACORN and loans (small loans and credit cards), and it is topic that most of the main media, such as CBS News and CNN, did not cover and will not cover, which shows many of the people involved with the main media condone violence and corruption and strong-arm tactics used on businesses in the United States of America.  You should see my documents entitled Mark R. Levin Interviews U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann: The Main Topic is ACORN and Never Forget These Media "Darlings" ?: A Guide for the Individual in the United States.  Are not the main media people wonderful and worthy of praise?  The previous sentence is said in jest.  (To reach my documents listed within this paragraph, you can go to the Site-Summary Page of The Hologlobe Press, and use the links that are provided, and to reach the Site-Summary Page, you can use this link: Summary.)

It was on Monday, October 19, 2009, that I came across information from The Rush Limbaugh Program that I bet you did not hear about through your favorite television news service, which might be MSNBC, which would be unfortunate for you.  On Wednesday, October 14, 2009, a global-warming expert named Lord Christopher Monckton made a speech in St. Paul, Minnesota, and talked about a United Nations climate-change treaty that was being proposed, and he stated that the treaty has three purposes--one of which is the make a one-world government that is based on communism, another of which is to move money from countries in the West to Third World countries, and the last of which is to have the new government entity do enforcement.  You are urged to see some of the statements made during the speech by seeing my document entitled World Tyranny: Warnings about the Insane Who are Trying to Create a Communist World Country, which can be reached by using this link: World.

Special editorial: Sometimes, you cannot help but mention.  On Sunday, October 11, 2009, the Governor of Michigan, Jennifer Granholm, was one of the guests on Fox News Sunday, which is a weekly talk show hosted by Chris Wallace and shown on Fox TV (the broadcast network).  I watched the opening minutes of an interview segment in which Chris Wallace had Jennifer Granholm and three other persons involved.  To me, Jennifer Granholm looked like a scared little bunny, and she also looked as if she was in panic mode.  Jennifer Granholm is a defective politician, who is killing one of the states of the United States of America, through socialist policies (by the way, Jennifer Granholm is originally a Canadian), and the unemployment rate in Michigan on the date was well over 15 percent (that is the U6 unemployment rate or the true full unemployment rate).  Yes, Little Jennifer, we're going to be "blown away," as you said several years ago.
Here, I present some dialogue from that Fox News Sunday broadcast with Jennifer Granholm.
At one point in the show, Jennifer Granholm gave a retort to a businessman named Steve Wynn, and Jennifer Granholm was trying to counter Steve Wynn's thought that employment is the driving force in making the economy better and not government spending, and here is what Jennifer Granholm said: "It's just so simplistic to say that, with all due respect, and, I mean, to say that, 'Government has never created a job or increased the standard of living.'  You know, I mean, there, there are a lot of people who are grateful that, in this country, we have a minimum wage.  There are a lot of people who are grateful that they have access to Medicare and Medicaid.  And I hope that we get access further ta additional health care for those who are un--right now--uninsured.  I mean there is a balance here to say that government is all evil.  This is a democracy.  It's the greatest country in the world...."   Jennifer Granholm did not counter the argument well, if at all, and what she did was talk things that do not drive the economy (and learn more nonsense about Jennifer Granholm, you should see my document entitled Detroit and Death: A Future View of the United States of America, especially "Fact Ten," and the document can be reached by using this link: Detroit.)
On the show, there was also at least this exchange between the two:
Steve Wynn: "I didn't say that at all.  I'm saying that the source of government revenue, the source of well being in this country is employment.  That allows companies to pay taxes, employees to pay taxes.  That's the source here!  And it's gotten out of focus!"
    Jennifer Granholm: "I, I agree."
    Steve Wynn: "There's no...."
Jennifer Granholm: "I agree with you."
Steve Wynn: "...there's no.  Okay!  That's my point, governor!  I'm not making any other point.  And believe me, Ma'am, I've got twenty-thousand employees.  I've had as many as a hundred-and-fifty thousand families that I've been self-insuring.  There's nothing simplistic about my approach to this problem...."

Public Service Announcement: If you wish to avoid giving a donation to nonprofit groups that support "manmade global warming" legislation or "manmade climate-change" legislation, such as the very bad American Clean Energy and Security Act (which is also known as the Waxman-Markey Bill), give to something better--particularly the Heritage Foundation and the Landmark Legal Foundation, which are organizations that support The U.S. Constitution and are working to defeat Barack Obama's plans to take over the country.   (You should see my document entitled "CAP AND TRADE" and Carbon Dioxide Facts and Nonsense, which can be reached through this link: Carbon.)

On Tuesday, October 13, 2009, I turned on a television set, and I watched parts of several programs, one of which was presented on the subchannel belonging to WCMU-TV, and the program was Rick Steves' Europe (the subchannel carried and carries the "Create" network related to PBS).  In the show, Rick Steves talked about Paris, France, and, for example, he gave some history about art and some general history.  While watching the program, I was reminded how such programs try to show the best of places--in this case--Paris, France, and how such programs can even try to show the "idealistic" nature of places, and, in fact, Rick Steves used the word "idealistic" to describe what Paris is today.  Of course, Rick Steves kept quiet about how Paris, France, is a socialist country, and Rick Steves did not report on the socialistic health-care system of France--not that he had to.  But viewers, especially young persons, who see these programs on a regular basis end up with a false impression of the places that are talked about, and I would not be surprised to learn many Americans think the U.S. is not as good as Europe is because of all the travel programs that they have seen about Europe that paint Europe in a "idealistic" way.  I note that episode of Rick Steves' Europe that I watched was made in June 2004, so, maybe--maybe, maybe--at that time Paris was "idealistic"--on the way to being transformed into a "Utopia.".

On Thursday, October 8, 2009, I saw most of the Thursday-night lineup on NBC-TV, and I did that so that I could get a sampling of credits for the shows that were on from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and there were three shows (episodes of three series), and I expected them to be bad.  The first show was Community, which is a title that I would expect to be used on a network that is a highly liberal network, if not a socialism-guided or communism-guided network.  To me, Community looked like a show that was put together by a group of rejects or a group of misfit twenty-something liberals, who have unhappy lives, since the show had an unlikeable tone that focused on putting people down, and, in fact, the characters were not people whom you would want to come into your house from week to week, and, in fact, in this episode, the focus of the show was--main characters were trying to find "dirt" on other main characters.  Fun stuff!  Ha!  (The previous two exclamations of mine were said in jest.)  The second show was Parks and Recreation, and it had the same style and tone that Community did, and Parks and Recreation was a show that was filled with characters whom you would not want to be with from week to week, and one of the worst characters was the main character (who was played by Amy Poehler), and that is not good.  I think the first two shows that I saw were designed to have the same style and tone as the third show that I saw--The Office, which is a series that has been on NBC-TV for several seasons, and to me, it is an unlikable show and has always been an unlikeable show, having people that are often unlikeable and that often put others down in a mean way.  On October 8, 2009, a sequence during the opening few minutes of The Office made me think about what I would like to do in relation to the other two series--throw up; during the opening sequence, when one of the characters, who was pregnant, threw up, it caused other characters to throw up.  Boy, that was fun TV!  (The previous sentence was said in jest.)

Maybe, NBC-TV should put on a show called The Commune on the air.

Recently, I was exposed to statements made by Ron Bloom and Anita Dunn--who are persons closely associated with Barack Obama, the communist and worse (he is insane).  Both showed that they are enamored with Mao Tse-Tung (of China).  You should see my document entitled Political Lessons for the Individual Woman and the Individual Man in the United States of America to see Anita Dunn's thoughts about Mao (look under the "Anita Dunn" section), and you should see my document entitled THE CRUD AROUND BARACK OBAMA: My rule--"Like Minds Get Together" to see Ron Bloom's love for Mao (look under the "Ron Bloom" section).  Barack Obama hired these people, who like Mao, which means they are no lovers of The U.S. Constitution, which, in turn, shows Barack Obama does not like The U.S. Constitution, and it must be remembered Mao killed millions of Chinese in the mid-1900s, and that should show you what Barack Obama thinks of the millions of individuals in the United States of America.

Announcement for the novice again: To get useful news, go to Fox News Channel, WorldNetDaily.com, "The Drudge Report," and CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama, as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (to learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the Fox News Channel and those mentioned with it in presenting political stories and events, and you should discover CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV avoid covering things that make Barack Obama look bad or show his true nature, which could harm you).  If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you.

By the way, recently, CNSNews.com asked U.S. Senator John McCain (a Republican related to Arizona): Where in The U.S. Constitution does the power come for the federal government to force people to buy health insurance?  John McCain said, "That's an excellent question.  And I'm sure if they pass, ah, health-care legislation, I think there will be a challenge."  I say that there should be a challenge because the feature would be against The U.S. Constitution, and to see more of the bad of the proposed health-care bills, you should see my document entitled National Health Care and Mass Failure: The Reasons it is a Dead Issue, a link to which exists at the end of this document.

So, did you catch this information on television--David Axelrod was on This Week with George Stephanopulos on Sunday, October 18, 2009:
George Stephanopulos: "Now, you're colleague, Anita Dunn, told The New York Times this week that, ah, Fox News was undertaking a war against the White House.  She said, 'The White House would treat Fox the way we would an opponent.'  Here's what Rupert Murdock had to say about that.'  A clip of Rupert Murdock was played (but I do not note the statement that was made).  "Ah, that does seem to be true.  Are you worried that your strategy is fortifying your enemy?"
David Axelrod: "Well, I don't.  You know, I'm not concerned.  I.  Mister Murdock has ah, has, ah, ah, a talent for making money.  And I understand that their programming is geared toward, ah, making money.  All, the only argument that Anita was making is that they're not really a news station.  If you watch even, it's not just their commentators, but a lot of their news programming--it's really not news, it's pushing a point of view.  And the bigger thing that, ah, ah, other news organizations, like your, ah, ought not to treat them that way, and we're not going to treat them that way.  We're going to appear on their shows, ah, we're going to participate, but understanding that they represent a point of view...."

Special note: On Monday, October 19, 2009, Keith Olbermann (of MSNBC), Rachel Maddow (MSNBC), and Gwen Ifill (the host of Washington Week on PBS) met with Barack Obama for about two hours and a half--privately--and also at the meeting, which was only open to liberal media people, were Eugene Robinson (of The Washington Post), Maureen Dowd (The New York Times), and Gloria Borger (CNN) (Mary.  "Obama, Keith Obermann, and Rachel Maddow."  Freedom Eden, 22, October 2009.  (http://freedomeden.blogsot.com....)).

Another special note: I hope you have in mind that U.S. General Stanley McChrystal was only able to speak once with Barack Obama about Afghanistan during a seventy-day period this past summer (albertacowpolke. "General McChrystal on 60 minutes talked to Obama once in 70 days." NowPublic, 28 September 2008, 06:08 a.m.   (http://www.nowpublic.com....)).

Here is something that it seems you were not exposed to through your favorite television newscast.  It was on October 21, 2009, that Dick Cheney, the most-recent former U.S. Vice President, made a speech at the 20th Anniversary of the Center for Security Policy "Keeper of the Flame Award Dinner."  Read some of Dick Cheney's statements:
"...Having announced his Afghanistan strategy in March, President Obama now seems afraid to make a decision and unable to provide his commander on the ground with the troops he needs to complete the mission.  It's time for president Obama to make good on his promise.  The White House must stop dithering while America's armed forces are in danger...."
"...Make no mistake, signals of indecision out of Washington, hurt our allies and embolden our adversaries.  Waffling while our troops on the ground face an emboldened enemy endangers them and hurts our cause...."
"...The President's chief of staff claimed that the Bush administration had not asked any tough questions about Afghanistan and he complained that the Obama administration had to start from scratch to put together a strategy.  We dug into every aspect of Afghanistan policy reviewing options and recommendations and briefing President-elect Obama's team.  They asked us not to announce our findings publicly, and we agreed, giving them the benefit of our work and the benefit of the doubt.  The new strategy that they embraced in March would've focused on counter-insurgency and an increase in the number of troops bares a striking resemblance to the strategy we passed to them...."
"...It's time for President Obama to do what it takes to win a war he has repeatedly and rightly called a war of necessity.  And the success of our mission in Afghanistan is not only essential, it is entirely achievable with enough troops and enough political courage...."
"...We cannot protect this country by putting politics over security and turning the guns on our own guys.  We cannot hope to win a war by talking down our country and those who do its hardest work--the men and women of our military and intelligence services.  They are after all the true keepers of the flame...."

On October 21, 2009 on The Ed Show on MSNBC, U.S. Representative Alan Grayson made this statement: "You know, Fox news and the Republican collaborators are the enemy of America.  They're the enemy of anybody who cares about health care in this country, the enemy of anybody who cares about educating their children, the enemy of everybody who wants energy independence, for anything for good for this country and certainly the enemy of peace--there's no doubt about that.  They are the enemy!"  (I say that Alan Grayson shows that he is full of garbage.)

Warning: It seems very likely you have not heard much about the United Nations climate-change treaty that is being proposed for a vote in Copenhagen, Denmark, in December, because the main media, such as NBC-TV, care not if the United States of America becomes just another country governed under a proposed international main country and if The U.S. Constitution and rights for you get trumped by international laws, such as Sharia Law and communist rules of other countries of the world.  Over the next few weeks or months, you are going to learn how deep the evilness is within the main media of the United States of America.  If you learn little about the badness of the proposed treaty, some of which I have passed along to you from Lord Christopher Monckton in my document entitled World Tyranny: Warnings about the Insane Who are Trying to Create a Communist World Country, you will get a better appreciation of your enemy.  When you have an enemy, you hate and you shut the enemy down!  The war is on, and you do not have to be nice!  You should see my document entitled World Tyranny: Warnings about the Insane Who are Trying to Create a Communist World Country, which can be reached by using this link: World.

On October 21, 2009, Barack Obama did an interview for NBC with Savannah Guthrie, and here is some of the dialogue from that interview::
Savannah Guthrie: "Do you think it's appropriate for the White House to say what is and what is not a news organization?"
Obama: "I think the, ah, American people are more interested in what we're doing to create jobs or how we're handling the situation in Afghanistan."
Savannah Guthrie: "Fair enough.  But your advisors raised this issue."
Obama: "Well, no.  The, I think that what our advisors have simply said is that, ah, we are going ta take, ah, the, the media as it comes, and if media is operating basically as a talk-radio format, then that's one thing, and if it's operating as, ah, ah, news outlet, then that's another.  Ah, but it's not something that I'm losing a lot of sleep over...."

In past editions of T.H.A.T., I have talked about TV Book, which was a weekly television-listings publication that was distributed by the Detroit Free Press.  Last month, the Detroit Free Press announced that people could start receiving a television-listings book called ON TV, and that publication will be talked about in the next edition of T.H.A.T., which will also talk about Variety and Broadcasting and Cable, subscriptions to which I am letting go by the wayside (after about three decades).  For now, I note that, in the Detroit area, people can now see the ON TV magazine for television-program-listings information.

The edition of ON TV for October 25-October 31, 2009, had a photograph of Stephen Clark on the cover (Stephen Clark is one of the anchors/reporters for WXYZ-TV, Channel 7, in Detroit), and the cover was basically an advertisement for a special program--a series of segments--being hosted by Stephen Clark from October 25, through October 30, in the 11:00 p.m. news on WXYZ-TV, and the program was entitled "Clearing the Air on Health Care," and I have to talk about that news report here.  I was only able to catch the presentation of Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at 11:00 p.m., and it talked about the Canadian health-care system, which is a socialized system, and I will report that Stephen Clark showed himself to be a defective reporter on the subject of health care in Canada, and, in fact, WXYZ-TV showed itself to be defective in presenting information about the Canadian health-care system, and I show examples here (and the examples show why television news presented by television stations is rather useless).  (By the way, at one time, I was thinking about giving you the entire report in text form, but I changed my mind.)  The recorded program (or "report") for Wednesday was introduced by Stephen Clark, and the first scene of the report had Stephen Clark driving to Canada, and he said, "The joke is Canada is good at hockey and health care.  But is that really a joke?  We hear a lot of talk about the Canadian health-care system.  'Hey, why can't ours be like that one?'  Well, we're going to Canada to find out."  Stephen Clark noted that the Canadian Health Act was passed in 1984, and Stephen Clark then talked with a man who looked like a homeless man, and Stephen Clark, at one point, asked the man what the man thought about the medical system in this day and age of the economic downturn, and the man said, "At the moment, it's kind of flimsy, flimsy."  The viewer never learned why it is flimsy.  No "why?" was asked the man by Stephen Clark.  Stephen Clark talked with another man, who said, "I'm going into a hospital to see my mother who just had her hip replaced.   She waited her little bit of time.  We waited a little bit of time, and everything works."  The statements made by the second man, whom Stephen Clark seemed to indicate liked the Canadian system, were useless, since the man did not note whether or not the Canadian system was good or not, and the man did not give a reason why the Canadian system is better than the system in the United States of America is.  And Stephen Clark presented a thought that the second man--a Canadian--did not like the experience that he had with the health-care system in the United States of America, and the man noted, for example, "I got in a truck accident over there, and I got bills from everybody and anybody who wanted money fer, just for everything."  Of course, you should say that his statement was useless, since the subject was two different countries, and what happened was a Canadian went to the United States of America, where he did not have health-care insurance--it is not up to the doctors and such in the United States of America to honor the health-care system rules of Canada and cover Canadians.  In truth, Stephen Clark presented crap information again.  Then, Stephen Clark noted basically that, if you live in Canada, "You're covered!"  Stephen Clark then presented statistics, and he said, "At birth, life expectance is in the U.S. is 78.1.  In Canada, it's 80.7."  Stephen Clark did not note from where the information came, and I say that, if the information came from the World Health Organization, the information is suspect, since the World Health Organization's statistics are flawed (as I have learned), and the World Health Organization is a part of the United Nations, which is controlled by Marxists, communists, dictators, et cetera.  Stephen Clark failed again and gave more crap.  Stephen Clark gave more statistics: "Our infant mortality rate is six point seven per thousand live births.  Theirs just five."  So, you should see Stephen Clark failed again with more crap.  Then, Stephen Clark was at a restaurant in Windsor, Canada, and the owner said, "It's equal for everybody...."  It was noted that vision, dental, prescription coverage are not covered by the Canadian plan, so people have to get that coverage as private coverage, if they can.  Stephen Clark then talked with two physicians, and it was noted by Stephen Clark, during the segment, that there is a shortage of doctors in Canada and that "One in twelve doctors born and trained in Canada practices here in the U.S.  They left for the money, availability of facilities and services, as well as job vacancies here."  One of the doctors noted that wait times are a big problem in Canada.  Stephen Clark said, "And there are reasons Canadians have to wait for tests and specialized treatments.  Here in the U.S., we have 26 MRI units per million people.  In Canada, there are only about six.  We have 34 CT scanners [per million persons], they have twelve."  Stephen Clark then presented a statement about the Canadian system made by U.S. Representative Mike Rogers: "It's awful!  In, we have seen case after case where they can't get treatment in Canada and had to come here."  Stephen Clark then presented a statement made by U.S. Senator John Dingell: "First of all, what, we're not copying anybody else.  This is a purely American system, designed to build on the system which we now have, which is basically an employer-delivered health-care system."  John Dingell's statement was a big lie, since such bills as HR 3200 and Nancy Pelosi's bill presented to the public on October 29, 2009, are designed to destroy the private health-care industry and not build on the system--and people are going to lose jobs.  One of the final parts of the report was Stephen Clark's statement: "By the way, it, it is true Canadians pay considerably higher taxes to get their free health care, but when you add our insurance premiums and co-pays to our lower taxes, we're closing the gap--fast."  Stephen Clark presented no facts about the costs, and, by the way, in the U.S., coverage can cover prescription drugs so I wonder how that cost fits in with total the American cost figure.  (On Thursday, Stephen Clark was going to talk about rationing, but I missed the report, and I would have loved to have been able to tear that report apart, and you are strongly urged to see my document entitled National Health Care and Mass Failure: The Reasons it is a Dead Issue, a link to which exists at the end of this document, and National Health Care and Mass Failure: The Reasons it is a Dead Issue shows more reasons why Stephen Clark is useless and a waste of time.)

Let me remind you of some text that I presented in the previous edition of T.H.A.T..  "My research has convinced me that Barack Obama's wish to switch to a federal-government-run health-care system would be a bad idea, since such systems are failing in such countries as Canada and England (to see the problems with the health-care system in the U.K., you should see the many real newspaper articles and such that are available through liberty-page.com (I talked about the topic more fully in Michigan Travel Tips #60, which can be reached at this link: Travel #60)).  To date, I have yet to see a good and long and detailed television program about the health-care system in the U.K. presented on MSNBC, CNN. NBC-TV, CBS-TV, or ABC-TV, which would really show how the government-run health-care system in the U.K. is falling apart and how individuals, especially the elderly, are being treated terribly."  (By the way, the health-care system in England was set up in 1948, and the health-care system in Canada was created in 1984, and the system in England is in worse shape than the system in Canada is, because the system in England is older than the system in Canada is--it takes time for badness to show up and develop into very bad.)

Now, let me talk about Merlin T. Dumbrille, who on October 30, 2009, retired from WTCM-AM (580), Traverse City, Michigan, and, in the morning of that day, several hours of tribute to Merlin T. Dumbrille were broadcast.  For 58 years, Merlin (also known as Zeke) worked for WTCM-AM, and for the final 46 years, he hosted a weekly program called "Farm and Orchard Time."   Some of the other radio programs that Merlin T. Dumbrille did were disc-jockey shows that featured polka music, a program called Melody Express, and a show called Children's Hour, and, from 1963 to the early 1970s, Merlin did the local inserts for The Today Show (the NBC-TV show) for the television station associated with WTCM-AM.  Although Merlin Dumbrille has officially retired from WTCM-AM, he is still scheduled to appear on the radio station on Friday mornings to do the "Who Said That?" contest segment, in which listeners call in and try to win prizes by guessing what person made a certain statement on a national basis during the previous week.

Announcement (again): Since national broadcast television networks do a poor job of covering information about many important topics, I will try to take up the work of filling in some of the holes.  I urge you to see www.saveourhealthcarenow.com and www.noperformancetax.org, because they have important information about the country.  The former has information about the health-care industry in the United States of America, and you should and must see it, and you are urged to sign the petition that exists there, and the latter has information about a proposed tax system related to radio stations and music, and the latter will show you what nonsense that U.S. Representative John Conyers (a Democrat of Michigan) is trying to push on the country.

A television set in the United States of America does not have a Channel One, and a television set in the United States of America never has, but there is something called a "Channel One" or "Channel One News"), as there has been since 1989.  On Monday, October 19, 2009, I learned through a boy who called into The Mark Levin Show (a nationally syndicated radio show) that Channel One was being used to push Barack Obama and his climate-change junk regularly.  Generally speaking, Channel One was created by Whittle Communications as a newscast for schools in 1989, and instrumental in setting up the channel was a man named Christopher Whittle, and, late in 1994, the channel became the property of  K-III Communications (which became known as Primedia, Inc., in 1997), and, in early 2007, the channel became the property of Alloy Media and Marketing, and, in mid-2007, NBC News became a supplier of programming for Channel One, and, in late 2009, CBS News became a supplier of programming for Channel One.  Find out what our children are seeing on Channel One, if it is available at the school to which your children go, because it may be bad--it may be pushing the supposed goodness of Barack Obama

Advertisement (a sustainer): Once again, I present an advertisement, which is a free advertisement, and what it leads to is something that is not necessarily free, since freedom does have a price.  Mark R. Levin of The Mark Levin Show (a nationally syndicated radio show) had his latest book released in March 2009, and it is called Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, and the focus of the book is on the individual, such as you, who is losing rights in the country because of government policies, especially those that have been pushed through by left-leaning politicians--Barack Obama, Democrats, Marxists, and such.  The book is a best-seller, though the main media outlets have not given Mark R. Levin any publicity, as they do to so many other books.  Get the book!

And did you catch this piece of garbage television (this is a commentary section).  On Sunday, October 25, 2009, 60 Minutes (of CBS-TV) did a segment on David Axelrod and his family--this David Axelrod is Barack Obama's friend and very close associate in the White House.  On this day, when a national health-care system was being pushed hard on the American public by Barack Obama, who is at communist, a liar, and worse, 60 Minutes decided to present a piece on David Axelrod to make--I believe--David Alexrod look good, though David Axelrod is a piece of garbage.  I do hope you turned away from the report, and, in fact, I hope you regularly turn away from 60 Minutes to fight back against those who support Barack Obama and his dangerous policies. 60 Minutes really did not show how dangerous it is by producing and presenting the story about the Axelrod family.

Public Service Announcement: Rules for Radicals, which is a book put together by Saul Alinsky (a communist) about 35 years ago, is a book that Barack Obama is very familiar with and follows, and if you wonder what you can do in relation to Barack Obama, I say, "Well, see my document entitled Rules of a Radical Destroyer: The Barack Obama Case, which can be reached though this link: Radical.

Somewhere around 1970, I was in high school (Cherry Hill High School, Inkster, Michigan), and I had a little theatre class, and I had to do a performance using no props.  I decided to do segments from a television series entitled The Prisoner, and I can remember how the performance went (only fair, if that, as judged by my standards of today), and I can remember dialogue that I spoke, and, actually, I can remember many pieces of dialogue from the series (which had 17 episodes).  Is it not funny what stays in the mind.  Here is some dialogue that has stayed in my mind over the years: "..At the other end of the scale, we are honored to have with us a revolutionary of a different calibre.  He has revolted, resisted, fought, held fast, maintained, destroyed resistance, overcome coercion.  The right to be person, someone, or individual.  We applaude his private war and concede that despite materialistic efforts, he has survived intact and secure...."  This piece of dialogue is from the final episode of the series, and if you hear the dialogue given by watching the episode, the dialogue will stay in your mind for many days to come.  Again, I urge you to buy and see the box set of episodes of The Prisoner (which featured Patrick McGoohan as Number Six and which was produced in the mid-1960s), and show the series to children, too.

Nobel Peace Prize vs. Olympics: Here is something to remember and teach children about.  The world has 249 countries (as noted on October 24, 2009, in an Ask.com Web page).  The Nobel Peace Prize, the newest recipient of which will be Barack Obama, is awarded by a committee of five persons associated with the Norwegian parliament (of the country of Norway, which can be called a socialist country, though it has a constitution and a king), and that means one country is involved in deciding who gets the Nobel Peace Prize.  In the first round of voting for he 2016 Summer Olympic Games, ninety-four votes (of  a possible 115 voting members) were cast for the four cities (Rio De Janeiro, Madrid, Tokyo, and Chicago) that were involved, and Chicago received 18 votes, and Chicago was eliminated in the first round, and that means 97 countries did not vote for Chicago, which shows that many do not like Barack Obama, unlike what you might think by seeing the information that Barack Obama received enough votes to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

On Sunday, November 1, 2009, people who watched all the Sunday-morning political talk shows on the broadcast networks caught the information that I now present:
On Fox News Sunday, which is a weekly series on Fox TV, Rush Limbaugh was interviewed by Chris Wallace, and here are two highlights from the interview.
Chris Wallace asked Rush Limbaugh what he thinks Barack Obama has done to and for the country since the election of November 2008, and Rush Limbaugh gave this answer: "I think it's all 'to.'  I don't think there's any 'for.'  Ah, I'm, Chris, I'm, I'm really, really worried.  We've never seen this kind of radical leadership at such a high level of power in the, the country.  I believe that the economy is under siege, is being destroyed.  Anybody with any economic literacy would not do one thing this administration's done to try to revitalize the private sector.  They're destroying it!  And I have to think that it may be on purpose, because this is just outrageous what is happening--the denial of liberty, an attack on freedom.  I mean, just a couple days ago, they talked about the 650,000 jobs that they've created or saved.  There's no such think as a saved job!  Besides that, they've destroyed jobs.  They've lost 3.3 million jobs in this country since Obama's stimulus plan, and it's gonna get worse."
Chris Wallace wondered what Russ Limbaugh meant by Rush's recently calling Barack Obama 'a man-child President,' and Rush Limbaugh said, "He's immature.  He's a child!  I think he's got a, ah, a five-minute career.  He was in the Senate for 150 days.  He was a community organizer in Chicago for however number of years.  He really has no experience running anything.  He's very young.  I think he's got an out-of-this-world ego.  He's very narcissistic.  And he's, ah, able to focus all attention on him all the time.  That description is simply a way to cut through the noise and say, 'He's immature, inexperienced, in over his head.'"
On the same day, David Axelrod (a White House advisor to Barack Obama) was interviewed by Bob Schieffer on Face the Nation, which is a weekly show on CBS-TV.  At one point, Bob Schieffer said, "One of the things he [Rush Limbaugh] said today was that the President is narcissistic, immature, inexperienced, and in over his head.  Your reaction!"  David Axelrod then answered, "Well, I think it's a, ah, surreal day when you're getting lectures on humility from Rush Limbaugh, and, dah, I'm not, dah, gonna respond to that.  The fact is that, dah, he's an entertainer.  The President, ah, has to, ah, run the country.  He's the Commander in Chief.  He has huge responsibilities.  I think he does them thoughtfully.  He does them well.  And, dah, they're difficult problems.  We walked into a difficult situation.  I think he's handled it very, very well, and most people believe that...."

A final reminder (updated): Remember to tell your children and grandchildren that they should never pledge to be a "servant to Obama" or a servant to any president, which was a topic in T.H.A.T. #58, and remember to tell them to not blindly "believe" in leaders, and that is a lesson in this edition of T.H.A.T., as it was in the past and will be in the future.  By the way, remember, in the "Presidential Video," which is one topic of T.H.A.T. #58, one male says, "I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama."; one female says, "I pledge to be a servant to our president."  And make sure your children and grandchildren are not singing songs at school that praise Barack Obama, which has been done by children at some schools around the country since January 2009, since children should never sing songs that praise any a politician, especially a megalomaniac and narcissist like Barack Obama.

Stay well!

Vic

P.S. #1: The telephone number of the U.S. Congressional Switchboard is: 1-202-224-3121.  (Use it to fight against the creation of a national-health-care system, especially a system pushed through law by a defective thinker, a man who has created nothing, and a man whose history is mostly filled with tearing things down, a man who continually puts down the U.S.A.--Barack Obama.  By the way, one of the more recent events in which he put down the entire business community of the country took place on Wednesday May 13, 2009, and you should see the second entry for Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in the document entitled Nonsense Statements and Quotations of Barack Obama).

P.S. #2: Do not forget that, since late 2008, I have put within editions of Michigan Travel Tips information about "green technology," "global warming" stuff, and "climate change" stuff, and to get to the catalog for all the Michigan Travel Tips publications, use this link: Travel.
