I have a channel on YouTube that is called "The Hologlobe Press", and on September 28, 2025, a new video was added to the group. The video is called Tar and Cars--Protecting Brake Systems, Rocker Panels, Quarter Panels, Suspension Systems, and More. The main purpose of the video is to urge Do-It-Yourselfers who do their own brakes to put tar on, for instance, all bolt heads related to calipers, but it urges a person to use tar on other things. By the way, for decades, I have tarred up brake lines on the vehicles that I drive. It is a simple video, and I put it together while really concenrating on longer videos that wil soon by at the channel, such as one that will present sounds--jingles and demo recording--used at WAYN-AM (a student-run radio station) of Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, at least 50 years ago. It is what most people might call lost history. For a little over 50 years, I have had the material in the video stored on reel-to-reel tapes, and I decided to use the stuff--for fun; some of the material is at least 55 years old. When the WAYN-AM with jingles and stuff is posted, a person can heard what came out of the place that his shown in the video that already exists at the channel about WAYN-AM (a document with text and images). So, now, the channel has 12 videos, and none is ugly or presents ugly stuff, and, in fact, a couple videos show some really pretty stuff and even super-pretty stuff, but I will not tell you here which ones do. For now, I say--Enjoy another Television History and Trivia document.
For a while, I have been showing the ugliness that can be found on television today, and a person's finding ugliness on television is easy to do, unlike that of twenty years ago, when there was some, and unlike fifty years ago, when there was almost none. I put forth that, slowly, the subchannel universe has been taking away viewers from the broadcast networks, because it is harder to find ugliness in the subchannel university--at least over the last number of years. By the way, mostly ugly-stuff subchannels have been showing up more and more, such as Nosey and Movie Spere Gold,which carries modern-day B pictures (which are ugly as a rule, especially when compared with the B pictures of the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s). On September 18 2025, the Detroit Free Press published an article that takes notice of the attraction of fun subchannels, especially those shown in the Detroit area, and the story was called "THESE CHANNELS SOOTHE TV VIEWERS' SOULS" [Hinds, Julie. "THESE CHANNELS SOOTHE TV VIEWERS' SOULS." Detroit Free Press, 18 September 2002, pp.1D an 3D.]. There is a problem with the subchannel university, too few old series are running on a number of different channels, such as Bonanza. Near the end of the article, this text is presented--"...In the fall, Weigel Brodcasting is set to launch WEST (or Western Entertainment Series television, which Sabin says will be coming to Detroit. It will rely on shows like 'Gunsmoke,' 'Bonanza,' 'Rawhide,' 'Wagon Train,' 'The Big Valley' and otherdraas from the heyday of the Western genre.'". I report that all the series listed in the previous sentence are already seen on channels in Detroit. There are hundreds and hundreds of old series and TV-movies in film form of the period from 1950 to 1980 that could be gathered up and put on subchannels, and yet so much of the same few series are getting used. Oh, well!
Announcement for the novice again (reworked in March 2019): To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, try Breitbart News Network (the history of which goes back to 2007), WorldNetDaily.com, Newsmax TV (which was started up in 2014), CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), and One America News Network (a.k.a. OAN), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama-type people (communists, socialists, progressives, liberals, and Shariaists), as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (Note: To learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the better places mentioned). I note that the Fox News Channel is evolving into a rotten channel, becoming like those that I have put down in this paragraph. If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and even now much of what is on the Fox News Channel and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you. In 2019, "The Drudge Report" was sold, and it should be treated as suspect for now. [Note: Everyone in the Democratic Party in the country is rotten, and the Republican Party establishment has shown itself to be socialistic and communistic within the last few years, and only a few of the rotten people tied to the Republican Party are U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, and Chris Christie.]
[Note: Here is an example of Chris Christie's rottenness. On Sunday, February 6, 2022, Chris Christie was a guest on This Week with George Stephanopoulos (of ABC-TV), which had Martha Raddatz as the host, and Chris Christie pushed out crap. For example, Chris Christie said--"...And let's face it. Let's call it what it is. January 6 was a riot that was incited by Donald Trump...an effort to intimidate Mike Pence and the Congress into doing exactly what he said in his own words last week--overturn the election. And he's trying to do a cleanup on aisle one here...." and "...He actually told the truth by accident. He wanted the election to be overturned....". That is bullshit!]In Television History and Trivia #257 (which can be reached through this T.H.A.T. #257 link), I talked about Stephen Colbert and Stephen Colbert's lose of this late-night talk show on CBS-TV and late-night television in general. The focus of the discusion was on how late-night television is "ugly" or "ugly television." Over the late decade or so, it has been commonplace for the late-night shows to support communism and socialism and communistic political people and socialistic political people, and it has been commonplace for the late-night shows to push lies and such about Donald J. Trump to viewers. The last number of years has seen late-night television for the broadcast networks to lose ratings or viewers, while the prime-time period has also lost viewers, and, for example, it is as if, in a way, the broadcast networks no longer treat prime-time as viable, often playing double-runs of shows and getting shows already streamed and offering few numbers of series. I do not watch late-night television on the broadcast networks, well aware that, if I were to watch, I would run across crap on a regular basis; I used to watch Johnny Carson's late-night show years ago, because it was not a nightly presentation of "ugliness" and lies. On September 15, 2025, late-night television hit a new low!
On September xx, 2025, a person assassinated a man named Charlie Kirk (an anti-communist and anti-socialist and anti-progressive) in Utah, the later of whom was shot in the neck, and, today, the suspect in the killing is a man named Tyler Robinson. Today, it is reported by authorities, such as FBI personnel, that the suspect killed Charlie Kirk since Charlie Kirk was, for instance, anti-communistic and anti-socialistic, and it must be remembered that communism and socialism are rotten forms of government, which are the guiding ways of life in such places as China and Russia, the latter of which has damaged, such as killed, under V. Putin, more than a million Russia citizens in the attack against Ukraine. By the way, Putin has without any feelings for the soldiers of Russia has been bent on so-called liberating some so-called Russians living on Ukrainian territory--to so-called liberated, Putin has sent soldiers to their deaths based on a lie that he is out to do liberation. In addition, Charlie Kirk was anti-Democratic Party, which is a political party today that supports as good communism and socialism and progressivism.
On September 15, 2025, Jimmy Kimmel through his weeknight television series called Jimmy Kimmel Live (on ABC-TV) took up the subject of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, and an honorable and smart person knows the subject of the assassination should never have been touched on in any way through a late-night talk show. Yet, Jimmy Kimmel took up the subject, such as by saying--"...We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.". Jimmy Kimmel rottenness, given it became clear that the suspect was tied to, for instance, a freak of a roommate and was not a supporter of anti-communistic and anti-socialistic and anti-progressive political ways.
I stop here with the discussion of Jimmy Kimmel directly, whose was put on hiatus at least for a while starting on September 17, 2025, by ABC-TV, given, for instance, a number of ABC-TV affiliates had commplained well about the rottenness presented by Jimmy Kimmel about the Charlie Kirk killing incident, and I now take up the idea of what other show did in relation to the Jimmy Kimmel firing of sorts on September 18, 2025, and I did not purposely work to see what so many of other shows did--I was simply sort of wasting time and goofing off and flipping through the channel on the evening.
On September 18, 2025, I happened to catch the opening to the syndicated series called Entertainment Tonight (or ET), and the opening introduction pushed out the topic of the withdrawning of Jimmy Kimmel from the air. The segment was hosted by Nichelle Turner (?) and Kevin Frazier, and the episode worked to sell the idea that Donald J. Trump was working behind the scenes to get rid of Jimmy Kimmel, as a dictator might do in a communistic or socialistic country when a person opposes the dictator, and the episode worked to show Donald J. Trump is not a free-speech person. For example, twice the episode showed George Clooney (of the recent past) pushing out the idea that Donald J. Trump is going to go after the late-night guys, such as Jimmy Kimmel. The episode presented notes from such persons--big supporters of the Democratic Party--Wanda Sykes (a freak), David Letterman, Julia Fox, and Marion Wayans. Yes, Entertainment Tonight worked to sell the idea that Donald J. Trump was taking away "First Amendment" rights of, for instance, Jimmy Kimmel, blocking Jimmy Kimmel from speaking his mind.
Late on the evening of September 18, 2025--really, very early on September 19, 2025--I caught some of the opening of Seth Meyer's late-night show [Note: It has become commonplace for Seth Meyer's series to push out anti-Donald J. Trump stuff at the openings instead of real comedy.]. Seth Meyers took up the topic that Donald J. Trump is working to take away free speech rights in the country, and Seth Meyers worked to sell to the American pubic that Donald J. Trump pressured ABC-TV to get rid of Jimmy Kimmel, which makes no sense, since ABC-TV has been over the last number of years working to sell lies, such as in relation to the impeachment hearings tied to Donald J. Trump, about Donald J. Trump. In addition, Seth Meyer's segment presented a statement with U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (a Democratic and a big supporter of communism and socialism and Russia, where he had had his honeymoon years ago), and Bernie Sanders pushed out that, under Donald J. Trump, the country is rapidly become an authoritarian country, which--I note--is bullshit from Bernie Sanders, and, in turn, Seth Meyers.
Incidentally, communism and socialism and progressive are truly "authortarian" types of government!
I have to get to local Detroit television for a moment. In the ten o'clock hour newcast in the evening of September 18, 2025, for WJBK-TV, Roop Raj interviewed a man named Matt Friedman (who is related to Tanner Media.... ?), and even though Roop Raj pointed up some points to sort of support Donald J. Trump, Matt Friedman did push out the idea that Donald J. Trump was going after the late-night guys, using his position as the U.S. president. In the ten o'clock hour, WMYD-TV had a newscast on the same day, and one segment was a product --in essence, a syndicated product--of the "Scripps News Group" (featuring a reporter named Stephanie Liebergen (?)), and the segment also gave the impression that Donald J. Trump was targeting the late-night guys (in seemingly an athoritarian way).
If I would have purposely looked, I probably could have found other programs that pushed the idea that Donald J. Trump was involved in getting rid of Jimmy Kimmel, but what I found was enough ugly television, which can be considered bad journalism or corrupt journallism, especially the segment from Entertainment Tonight, which used George Clooney's statement of the past twice to create a story for the air and create a story that was fictious and was a political-hit piece.
Jimmy Kimmel screwed up and showed his true nature, which is not good and no surprise to me (based on my knowing what Jimmy Kimmel has been about for years), and others worked to make Donald J. Trump seem to be the bad guy!
I have some side notes about the status of television today, focusing on the "ugliness" that exists on it regularly. On September 19, 2025, I happened to catch a bit of the opening of After Midnight (the weekday late-night game show of sorts on CBS-TV and hosted by .....), and three times ..... had to be bleeped, such as for saying--it seems--"fuck" while standing before the studio audience, and, years ago, no show host on late-night television had to be bleeped three times, while presenting gutter speech or talk. A few hours later on September 19, 2025, I caught to opening to the third hour of Today, and the introduction made a point to show that the upcoming hour to was going to focus on syndicated talk-show guy called Karmano Brown (a black gay guy) and Queer Eye (?), a television series focusing on gays.Announcement: Recently, I have added some new documents to the collection of my documents at the website for The Hologlobe Press. As usual, I have a Looking at the Movies segment for you. This time, I have a war picture--sort of. The name of the movie is "Torpedo Alley", and that title might make you think it refers to a movie with a lot of submarine action, but that would be a wrong idea. Incidentally, it was on Sunday, November 13, 1966, when Channel 50 played the movie beginning at 1:00 p.m. and it was a time before Bill Kennedy would be a regular host for movies on Sundays at 1:00 p.m.. The movie was given a copyright date of 1952, and it had such performers as Mark Stevens, Dorothy Malone, Charles Winninger, Bill Williams, and Douglas Kennedy. If you know anything about old movies and performers, you might notice that Charles Bronson had a part in the movie--an uncredited part. I have to consider this movie to be sort of a B picture, having no super-famous actors, like John Wayne. I have to admit that when I saw the name Mark Stevens listed in my files for this movie (the showing on Channel 50), I--for the moment--saw the face of "Warren Stevens" in my mind. I am more familiar with the face of Warren Stevens than the face of Mark Stevens. See if you recognize "Mark Stevens" by seeing the Looking at the Movies presentation for this edition of T.H.A.T..
Remember: The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s, and I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.

I note that the "mandate"--which forces everyone to buy government-approved health-care insurance--violates one of "The Rules of Man," and it is a rule that is attacked in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010. Anyone who supports the "mandate" is not a good enough person or a smart enough person to be the U.S. president--the mandate is "enslavism," and the "mandate" allows government people--who are often usually bad people, as history shows--decide what health care a person can get, and that is bad.
