"Shared Responsibility Payment"--this is a reason
to hate all Democrats (especially the politicians), many
upper-level politicians of Republican Party, and two-thirds of
U.S. Supreme Court.  The payment is what the federal
government thinks people who do not buy government-
approved health insurance should pay as a tax or a fine.
It has come about through the Patient Protection and
Affordable Care Act of 2010.  It is rottenness of the
highest degree.  The only way for a good person
to destroy a bad person is to hate the bad person.
It is a rule of life!  I promote hate of rotten people,
especially Barack Hussein Obama, a promoter of
Sharia and communism and a killer.  I will not share
in paying for jackass sex-change-appearance people,
like that "Jenner" defect of nature, or foreigners, especially
illegal aliens, who are criminals, despite what shit-head
Barack Obama wants you to believe.  Hate the enemy!
I state again--I promote hate against rotten people!

- - - T.H.A.T., Edition No. 144 - - -

Television-based news persons are not worth much, since they pass along for the most part lies or misinformation or foolishness--mostly foolishness and useless news--and this paragraph shows up something that your favorite television newscaster, such as Stephen Clark (the communist supporter at WXYZ-TV, Detroit) and Carmen Harlan and Devin Scillian (both of whom are at WDIV-TV, Detroit), probably did not pass along to you, and it is very important to know, since it shows up how rotten the government of the country has become.  I state--The manmade-climate-change idea or manmade-global-warming idea is a lie, which is being pushed along as fact by bad people (mostly "liberals," who are actually better known as "enslavists" (such as communists, socialists, or Shariaists), who are persons who like to--if not love to--hurt other people for their own gain, having hate for others, wanting to knock others down so that they can be seen has having higher stature in society (though they have not done anything), jealousy, et cetera.  "Liberals" are bad people--always--though the degree of badness can vary from "liberal" person to "liberal" person.  "Liberals"--bad people--are very likely to get into government jobs so that they can hurt other people and avoid having to work, and when in government, they can use laws to hurt others, especially laws that are based on a lies and false information.  Hey, did you see U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday, March 10, 2016.  By the way, Loretta Lynch is a black hard-line "enslavist," and Stephen Colbert is like her (though he is a male and not black).  I bet Loretta Lynch and Stephen Colbert said nothing about "Climate Denier Schemes" on the program.  "Climate deniers" are people--as defined by "liberals"--who do not accept the lie that is manmade climate change is leading to the death of the planet, or "climate deniers" are people who will not bow down to the "liberals" and accept the lie.  "Liberals" have to hurt "climate deniers" because "climate deniers" can stop "liberals" from hurting others.  On March 9, 2016, Loretta Lynch testified before a U.S. Senate committee, and at one point, she talked with U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (a Democrat related to Rhode Island), who is a hard-line enslavist.  They got on the subject of the "Climate Denier Scheme" idea.  In essence, they were putting forth the idea that, when a business will not bow down to the rotten idea of manmade climate change and accept as truth the lie that is manmade climate change, that business is involved in a "scheme" to lie to people, such as stockholders.  So, given that, the federal government can consider such a business as taking part in a scheme to defraud and be involved in criminal activity.  Do you see the rottenness of that?  It is rottenness!  It is enslavism!  The talk between Sheldon Whitehouse and Loretta Lynch brought up the idea of having the Federal Bureau of Investigation (or the F.B.I.) investigate businesses for "Climate Denier Schemes."  Did your favorite television newscaster pass along this information, which shows the federal government--guided by the high rotten killer known as Barack Obama--is willing to hurt others and businesses and force businesses to accept and follow the big lie or maybe be fined greatly or put in prison for what the government considers a criminal action--being involved in a "Climate Denier Scheme"?  Welcome to the Communist States of America--where the rotten people in the federal government well out number those who might be good, especially in the U.S. Congress, where more than 70 percent are rotten people.  And here is a look at television in this day and age of crap.
[Note: You are urged to see my document entitled The Sick and Evil Minds are on the Move--Enslavists (such as the "Democrats") Are Attacking Their Enemies Defined as "Climate-Change Deniers" through Rotten Laws and Means, which can be reached through this Deniers link.]

I have more crap that your favorite television newscaster probably did not tell you, especially if your favorite newscaster works at WJBK-TV, WDIV-TV, WXYZ-TV, or WMYD-TV in Detroit.  Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders--both of whom are enslavists (a.k.a. communists and socialists and what have you of the same nature)--took part in a town hall that was broadcast by CNN on Sunday, March 13, 2016, and many thoughts presented by Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton--both of whom were in the middle of a campaign race to be the nominee for U.S. president for the Democratic Party--were idiocy and lies and even hellish in nature.  For all time, this comment from Hillary Clinton must be remembered as probably the worst that was said--"...I'm the only candidate which has a policy about how to bring economic opportunity using clean renewable energy as the key in the coal country because we're gonna put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business.  Right, Tim?....".  Never in history has a person who was running to be the U.S. president said publicly--clearly and forthrightly--that one of the goals of the person upon being elected is to completely shut down a big industry in the United States of America, and never in history has a person who was running to be the U.S. president really wanted a person to vote for the person based on such a hellish reason.  I smart person has to ask--Exactly what policy does Hillary Clinton have that will lead to something replacing "coal," which is a super-big source of energy--electricity--to run much of the county, which means millions of businesses, which involve millions and millions of jobs?  Hillary Clinton--late in life now--has never shown over her history that her mind is capable of creating anything.  I state--Windmills will never take up what coal does.  In the town-hall event, Hillary Clinton once again showed off her sick mind, that which is out to hurt others (based on, for example, the lie that is manmade climate change).  In addition, Hillary Clinton also showed that she is going to work to shut down the industry that is involved in gathering crude oil through a process known as "fracking," which has been a process of getting oil out of the ground that has been around a long time, and she showed off that rottenness by saying-- "...By the time we get through all of my conditions, I do not think there will be many places in America were fracking will continue to take place....".  The people who support Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders--and those people are defined publicly as "Democrats" are rotten people.  [Notice that she said "my conditions," sounding like a dictator.]  A reason Hillary Clinton's pledge has to be taken seriously is Barack Hussein Obama has been working over the previous seven years to shut down the coal industry, and Barack Hussein Obama has indeed made progress.

By the way, recently, a friend of mine received a little letter from Arcadia Power, and it looked like something from jackasses and scam artists.  Here is some of the main body of the letter--"...You can make a difference.  Every month.  Right through your utility bill.  With Arcadia Power's Community Wind Program, you finally have the freedom to choose 100% pollution-free wind energy for your home or apartment.  For just a couple extra dollars per month, you family can help promote a clean energy future and preserve our environment for generations to come.  It takes just 3 minutes to choose clean energy.  No equipment, no contracts, no hassle...."..  Do you see the bullshit, which "liberals" (idiots) will probably take part in.  Consider a house in the suburb or a city, and electric lines go to the house.  If the owner of the house gets involved in Arcadia Power's idea, how does only power from Arcadia Power get to the house?  No lines carrying power have been set up to the house from Arcadia Power.  At the bottom of the letter, communistic organizations were shown as places where people have already learned about Arcadia Power--NPR (the radio network), The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, and USA Today.  What a scam this whole thing is!

Here is more evidence of how rotten the media in the United States of America is, which includes, for one, news anchors at television stations based at Detroit (as I have shown in the past).  On Monday, March 21, 2016, Chris Cuomo--whose father was Mario Cuomo (a "Democrat"), who had been the governor of New York--was reporting live from Havana, Cuba, where he was covering the visit of Barack Obama to Cuba.  At about 8:14 a.m., Chris Cuomo had these words for viewers--"...I wear this [shirt] for a reason.  This shirt belonged to my father.  It was given to him by Fidel Castro, ah, as a gift, that, eh--it, it didn't mean something to him because it came from Fidel Castro necessarily--but because it marked conversations going on decades ago that were the same as those today.  The concern was the freedom of the people.  Ah, what is the point of this communist regime if it is not to truly make everyone equal, not at the lowest level, not by demoralizing everyone, but lifting everyone up?  Ah, my father and generations of politicians have been fighting [for] this, so I wear this shirt as a reminder of that....".  Chris Cuomo worked to sell the idea that communism is designed to lift everyone up to the highest level.  I say that that is nonsense!  Communism is a few persons telling others what to be and how to be, and communism only results in a few people actually being at the highest level, and those people are the elites, who, in order to be elites and be well off, have to suppress others.  History shows communist countries, such as North Korea and Cuba, are countries were there is no "freedom" (a word used by Chris Cuomo) for most people.  If Chris Cuomo's theme were true, people in such countries would not be locked into the countries, having limited travel and being surrounded by, in essence, walls (like the Berlin Wall of the past) and fences with check points (guarded by soldiers with guns), and people who try to leave such countries would not have to worry about being shot and killed for wishing to leave the countries [Note: People risk their lives to leave such places].  To date, there is no place where "communistic" polices have lifted everyone to good heights, and, in fact, history shows that communism results in no rise for almost everyone in a country (the people are restricted from doing things).  Chris Cuomo showed--through this words--his rottenness as a thinker and a person.  Think about this--What actions can any small group of people--rulers--in a country take to get millions of citizens to be at the highest level?  It cannot be done!

Over the years, I have come to understand WTVS-TV (which is an affiliate of PBS) supports the Democratic Party (in the United States of America), which is a communistic party at the very least today, and I have shown some of the rottenness that exists in Fred Nahhat, who is an executive at WTVS-TV, and, over the years, I have learned Warren Pierce, who is a well known radio personality in the Detroit area, supports the Democratic Party (in the United States of America), and in the past, I have shown up the rotten television history work of Tim Kiska and his bad television history book known as From Soupy to Nuts! A History of Detroit Television (which was published in 2005), and this section of T.H.A.T. links WTVS-TV, Fred Hahhat, Warren Pierce, and Tim Kiska together in a single main theme [Note: You should see such former editions of T.H.A.T. as T.H.A.T. #36, T.H.A.T. #71, T.H.A.T. #117, and T.H.A.T. $120 to get a better understanding of this section than you would if you did not see what was written about in the past].  On Sunday, March 13, 2016, I was doing research about Detroit television history, and, in fact, much of that day, I was doing that, and in the evening, I saw a presentation called Detroit Remember When: J.P.--The Voice of Detroit on WTVS-TV (actually, I saw it through the Internet feed, since I was not in the Detroit area), which was a television special produced for the station and for Detroit area television viewers (by the way, the station was in the middle of a "pledge drive").  From the 1960s to the 1990s, J.P. McCarthy was a radio host on WJR-AM, Detroit (a super-big radio station in the country), and the television program was about, in essence, the life of J.P. McCarthy, especially while he was working at WJR-AM.  The program was shown in segments, and some of the people who got to be in the recorded program were Diana Lewis, Erik Smith, Frank Beckmann, Paul W. Smith, Mitch Albom, Jamie McCarthy (who is J.P. McCarthy's son), and Tim Kiska, and between the segments, Fred Nahhat and others worked to get viewers to donate money to the station, and one person who got to be involved in pledge-break segments was Warren Pierce.  By the way, Warren Pierce has worked on radio in the Detroit area since the late 1960s, and he has done some television work; for example, he was at WTAK-AM in at least 1969 and 1970, at WCAR-AM starting in 1970, and at WJR-AM starting in 1975 for a long time, and he worked at WJBK-TV, Channel 2, in the middle of the 1990s, from which he was fired for an event informally called "The Beemergate Scandal."  At one point during the presentation of the special, Fred Nahhat and Warren Pierce were talking together (for the audience), and Fred Nahhat brought up the idea of what the state of radio in Detroit is today, and Warren Pierce lamented about his dislike for radio people who are busy teaching a particular political theme on the radio.  Today, WJR-AM plays The Rush Limbaugh Program on weekdays from noon to 3:00 p.m., and WJR-AM plays The Mark Levin Show from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and each program is a nationally syndicated radio program for weekdays that has a host who is an anti-enslavist and promotes "conservatism, and that means the hosts are anti-communists and anti-socialists, and also, for instance, WJR-AM airs The Frank Beckmann Show (featuring an anti-enslavist) from 9:00 a.m. to noon on weekdays.  Yes, Warren Pierce was implying his dislike of "conservatives" and "anti-enslavists."  By the way, in 1993, Warren Pierce got bumped off his afternoon radio show on WJR-AM of weekdays, when the management of the station decided to put in his place a talk-show host who was a lot less "liberal" than Warren Pierce was or was more like Rush Limbaugh was, and that person was Kevin Joyce.  I note that Warren Pierce used the television special on WTVS-TV to push a political message, his dislike for "conservative" radio, especially, it seems, that on WJR-AM, where he had been bumped from a good time slot by person who was not a "liberal."  I have already noted that Tim Kiska got to be a person taking part in Detroit Remember When: J.P.--The Voice of Detroit (I am talking about the program and not the pledge-break segments), and when I saw Tim Kiska in the program, I thought about recent problems that I had found in his book From Soupy to Nuts! A History of Detroit Television, and the problems were problems that I had not reported on yet.  One problem I had found over the previous two days or so was with a program called Jazz Nocturne.  The index of the book noted that the show was mentioned in the book on page "32", but it was actually mentioned on page "31".  On page 31, Tim Kiska noted that Jazz Nocturne aired in 1951 on WXYZ-TV.  I have found that the program only aired on the station on Sundays in 1952 and 1953 (roughly from June 1952 to January 1953).  On page 46 of the book, Tim Kiska talked about Bob Maxwell, and Tim Kiska wrote that Bob Maxwell hosted Man About Town.  Tim Kiska did not note on what station the program aired or when the program aired.  One thing that I came to understand well is the book through the index lists a lot of shows that were not Detroit-based television shows, and, in fact, many shows mentioned were radio shows or cable shows.  I made a rough count of shows listed of the index, and about 30 were not Detroit television shows, and that is too much of that stuff in the book.  The book should have had more Detroit television shows listed--in place of, for example, the radio shows.  The book is a very shallow look at Detroit television history (and that does not take into account all the errors).  The index would not look so big if some 30 entries were removed for not being tied to Detroit television shows.  Although Tim Kiska appeared in Detroit Remember When: J.P.--The Voice of Detroit, he was not on the production team for the television special.  The producer was Oliver Thornton, and the executive producers were Fred Nahhat and Jamie McCarthy.  Jamie McCarthy took part in pledge-drive breaks on the station, and it was the first time I ever saw Jamie McCarthy talk.  He came off a bland, and his voice was nothing like his father's was, and Jamie McCarthy was more proof of my theme presented in the document entitled The Kennedy Family, the Bush Family, the Clinton Family, and Other Prominent Political Families--The Interests of the Family Dynasty come before the Interests of the County as a Rule, which can be reached through this Dynasty link.  And the main theme that you have to understand is, if a person is good at one particular job, the offspring of that person is very likely not to be good, or especially as great, since every person has different DNA, brain structure, and life experiences, and that idea is really true in the political industry where thinking is supposed to be involved (though it often is not, since few thinkers really get into politics).  Jamie McCarthy could never have been a "star" like is father.  By the way, Tim Kiska could have put Good Cooking, Star Bowling, and 28 or so other television shows in the book, if only through a slight mention.  And now I come to a big error in Tim Kiska's book entitled From Soupy to Nuts! A History of Detroit Television.  On pages 47 and 48, the subject is Edythe Fern Melrose.  I talked much about the history of Edythe Fern Melrose in T.H.A.T. #133 (which can be reached by using this T.H.A.T. #133 link).  In Tim Kiska's book on page 48, it is noted--"Her [Edythe Fern Melrose's] Detroit TV career lasted until 1960.  While visiting the station eight years later to film a commercial, she tripped on a prop at Broadcast House and injured her leg....".  That date is way wrong.  My research shows that on Saturday, October 15, 1960, Edythe Fern Melrose began to appear on a weekly Saturday morning series on WXYZ-TV, Channel 7, which she had done work for since the 1940s.  The show covered fashions and decorating and more, and it was designed for female viewers.  For the moment, the correct title of the show escapes me (but I will have more on it in the future it seems).  Advertisements by the WXYZ-TV in some editions of the Detroit Free Press had it called House of Fashions, but television listings in the Detroit Free Press only had House of Fashion.  I can say that the show was on the air from October 1960 to March 1966.  At first and for much of the 1960-1961 television season, it ran for 90 minutes, beginning at 9:30 a.m.  Generally speaking, the show ran for one hour from the middle of 1961 to the final season--the 1965-1966 season--and the starting times varied a bit.  In the final season, it was usually on for 30 minutes, starting at 8:30 a.m.  Based on that information, I know Edythe Fern Melrose was on television in Detroit to at least 1966, and, really, I know she had another series on television in the 1966-1967 season and know she was on television in Detroit till 1967 (but I will not talk about that till the next edition of T.H.A.T.).  Hey, I am not done with trouble on page 48 of Tim Kiska's book for this edition of T.H.A.T..  On page 48, Tim Kiska talks about "Fred Merle."  This is some of the text on the page--"...Merle was among Channel 62's most recognizable faces, in addition to working as a producer/director on several ethnic television shows.  Merle is best known for his dozen years (1978-1990) hosting Auction Movie, which aired variously on Thursday nights, Saturday mornings, Saturday afternoons and Monday nights.  He had been working as a director at WGPR-TV when he approached Dr. William V. Banks, the station's founder, about going on the air....".  At the moment, I believe Fred Merle was the only host for Auction Movie.  I have found that Auction Movie was up and running in October 1976, when the show was on Thursdays in prime time for two hours, and during the first three months, the program had such movies for viewers as Twelve O'Clock High, The Destructors, Desert Trail, Intrigue, Viva Zapata, The Highwayman, and Yellow Sky.  At the moment, I have no proof that Fred Merle was the host for the first show.  I do know that Fred Merle was one of the hosts for Polka Time, which debuted on WGPR-TV on May 14, 1977, so it is very likely that Fred Merle was hosting Auction Movie already in May 1977, and that suggests that Tim Kiska's "1978-1990" date is not right.  At the very least, Tim Kiska gives the impression that Auction Movie showed up in 1978, and that is wrong, since I can prove Auction Movie was on the air in 1976.  [Note: On Monday, August 15, 1983, I appeared on camera on Auction Movie, giving updates on the current bidding of items, and on that day, the program was seen from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on WGPR-TV.]  I have to talk about page 121, where a photograph of Jac LeGoff is shown.  There, the caption says--"Jac Le Goff  worked at all three Detroit networks, plus a stint at Channel 9.".  The problem is Jac LeGoff did not work at the three "networks" that were implied (CBS-TV, NBC-TV, and ABC-TV)--he worked at WJBK-TV (a CBS-TV affiliate), WWJ-TV (an NBC-TV affiliate), and WXYZ-TV (an ABC-TV affiliate).  Also, he worked at Channel 9, which was also called CKLW-TV, which was then a CBC-TV affiliate.  Why did not Tim Kiska say--"Jac Le Goff  worked at all three Detroit networks, plus a stint at Windsor network."?  Tim Kiska could not have because that would have been wrong.  What Tim Kiska did was wrong.  Tim Kiska should have focused on television stations and not networks.  Oh, let me go to the back cover of the book, which has three endorsements of the book.  When I see the endorsements, I think--"What crap!".  I have found many errors in the book, and the book is no great thing.  Dick Purtan was one of the endorsers, and he noted for the book--"Here's all you ever wanted to know about you Detroit TV favorites -- from Bonds to Bozo. From Soupy to Nuts! has it all --a neat trip down the long lane of Detroit television memories.".  By the way, Dick Purtan was and is a famous radio-show host of the Detroit area (working at, for example, WKNR-AM, WXYZ-AM, and WOMC-FM), and he even did some television work.  Mike Duffy was a famous writer about television for the Detroit Free Press (the communistic newspaper), and on the back of the book, a person can see some writing by Mike Duffy---"...A terrific reference guide to the people and personalities who put their stamp on Detroit television.".  Just crap Mike Duffy and Dick Purtan passed along.  I end with something tied to J.P. McCarthy.  J.P. McCarthy did television work, but I will not talk about his shows here.  I go deep into really forgotten television history.  For many years, a man named Hal Youngblood was J.P. McCarthy's producer at WJR-AM [Note: For many years, J.P. McCarthy's secretary at WJR-AM was Helen Rigelhof].  On Sunday, September 27,1970, a television program written by Hal Youngblood was shown on Channel 4, WWJ-TV, at noon for 30 minutes (and it would get at least another airing, such as on WTVS-TV, Channel 56, on Saturday, October 4, 1970, at 10:30 p.m.).  The program was called A Little Crack of Daylight, and it was a production related to the Detroit Jewish Community Center, and the theme was the Jewish holidays and Rosh Hoshanah, and some of the performers were Rube Weiss, Stuart Grant, Addie Beckerman, and Nancy Linehan.  Nine years later or so--in the 1979-1980 season--Hal Youngblood did hosting duties for an interview show broadcast on Monday on WTVS-TV entitled Feedback (as did Dick Purtan)  And that is real television history!
[Note: Since I published T.H.A.T. #133, I have found another television show done by Dee Parker, who was talked about in T.H.A.T. #133, and at a better time, I will pass that information along.]

Announcement for the novice again (reworked in August 2015): To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, go to Fox News Channel (which has to be treated as wishy-washy and suspect, showing signs of mostly supporting the Republican Party establishment, which is rotten), WorldNetDaily.com, "The Drudge Report," and CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama, as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (Note: To learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the better places mentioned with it in presenting political stories and events, and you should discover CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV avoid covering things that make Barack Obama look bad or show his true nature, which could harm you).  If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you.  [Note: The Republican Party establishment has shown itself to be socialistic and communistic within the last few years, and only a few of the rotten people are U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, U.S. Senator John McCain, Jeb Bush, and Chris Christie.]

Hey, did you see the back inside cover page for TV Guide (the television trade magazine) for March 7-20, 2016?  Basically, the page was an advertisement for the Television Critics Association.  Here is a block of text that was on the page--"THE TELEVISION CRITICS ASSOCIATION was established in 1978 and represents more than 200 professional journalists who cover television for publications across the United States and Canada.  Our members reach tens of millions of consumers each week and are considered experts within the industry, representing their employers as moderators, panelists, radio/TV guests and more.  See what the critics are saying.".  The advertisement also had--"Stay tuned for our 32ND ANNUAL TCA AWARDS from the Beverly Hilton on August 6.".  On the page were photographs of celebrities, such as Miss Piggy, Terry Crews, and Julia Louis-Dreyfuss.  The advertisement to me was crap.  I ask--Where are the television critics?  Today, I only see people who cover television as a rule who act as promoters of shows (I could be the writers like to hob nob at events with stars, such as TCA Awards events, and do not want to give out bad reviews).  I stopped subscribing to Variety magazine several years ago because the numbers of reviews was low, having gone down steadily since the 1950s.  [Go look at editions of Variety in 1950s.]  The heyday of television reviewers was from the 1940s to about the early 1990s, and since the 1990s, more and more critics have disappeared.  To me, the Television Critics Association is a gathering of phony critics really--it is a club of elites (probably a lot of young people who have not really looked at the history of television and television shows).  I bet, for example, not one critic of the entity panned or put down the casting of the actress who played Dorothy in The Whiz Live! as a bad choice--she (Shanice Williams) was angry looking most of the time, instead of pleasant.  I ask--Exactly why should I "stay tuned for the 32nd Annual TCA Awards" event?  What is the purpose?

On March 9, 2016, a new season for The Carmichael Show (a sitcom) began to run on NBC-TV on a weekly basic, and it is still a so-what? series.  A big problem with the series is the lead performer--Jerrold Carmichael (who writes for the sitcom and is an executive producer).  Jerrold Carmichael comes of as stiff and bland on screen.  There can be a problem when a performer on a television series is also an executive producer, and that is the performer does not see that the performer is a hindrance to the success to the show in the long run by being on screen.  On March 15, 2016, a new series called Crowded showed up on NBC-TV.  The series is another political piece, as is The Carmichael Show, and not an entertainment piece, and one example is the show makes sure to put gay themes in (which showed up in the second episode), and the producers put together a mixed married couple--a white guy (Stacy Keach) and a black gal (Carlease Burke)--and the series promotes as good illegal drug use.  I had a big problem with the casting of this series, too.  Miranda Cosgrove plays one of the two daughters, and the actress does not have the look of a young gal who could be the daughter of the lead characters (played by Patrick Warburton and Carrie Preston).  To me, Miranda Cosgrove looked as if she could be the granddaughter of Arlene Martel (whose heyday as an actress on television was in the 1960s).  I kept thinking of Arlene Martel while watching Miranda Cosgrove.

In the previous edition of T.H.A.T., I talked about matters related to the "Flint water crisis," such as articles in the Detroit Free Press and a special that aired on WDIV-TV, Channel 4.1, Detroit (entitled Failure in Flint: Inside the Water Crisis).  The previous edition of T.H.A.T. showed an article in the Detroit Free Press that hints that we--taxpayers around the country--could have to spend $300B to straighten out Flint.  There is a scam!  The Flint people have been screw-ups for decades, and others now get to bail them out.  Keep the "$300.B" in mind.  The operators of five television stations in Michigan--WDIV-TV (Detroit), WEYI-TV (Flint), WILX-TV (Lansing), WOOD-TV (Grand Rapids), and WWTV Channel 9/10--felt it was necessary to have a fund-raiser to raise money for the so-called "poisoned kids" of Flint [Note: It was really the citizens of Flint of the last several decades and the managers of Flint over the last several decades who poisoned the kids].  The event and the broadcast was called Flint Water Crisis: 4 Our Families (a name that sounds like it was put together by socialists), and the event was held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, and the stations carried the event as update reports during the day from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The cost of ignorance can be high, and what a scam ignorance can grow into, and a bunch of television stations wanted people to spend above and beyond the "$300B" (or more)!

On Tuesday, March 22, 2016, another piece of crap of a series showed up on NBC-TV (the communistic television network).  The program is called Heartbeat, and all the "liberal" beats got tugged on.  The main character (played by Melissa George) is supposed to be a very smart heart surgeon who is sexy.  The producers had the actress in several tight dresses in the first episode.  Think of a "Jiggle Medical Soap Opera."  [Note: A "Jiggle Show" is a term that goes back to the 1970s.  You can look it up.]  The main character is divorced, and her relationship with her ex-husband (played by Joshua Leonard) seems to be great--he is gay.  There are children.  The main character has a new boyfriend (played by Dave Annable).  An early scene had her on an airplane where she ends up cutting open a guy to save the guy's life, and she gets blood all over the front of her clothing, so she has to wear a borrowed stewardess outfit to give a speech.  It is all phony!  It is a political piece and not an entertainment piece  And when the credits for the ending episode were running, the viewer learned the next episode would be about conjoined twins--two women, one of whom looks white and one of whom looks black--who have to be separated.  So who will die--the black or the white?  The program is based on a book by Kathy E. Magliato, M.D., and the series was developed by Jill Gordon, who is an executive producer.  Oh, Kathy E. Magliato gets to be an executive producer.  Another executive producer is Amy Brenneman, who is a well-known "liberal" and actress.  The show really comes off a feminist bullshit!

In the past month, I have done more "tracking work" or research about Detroit area television shows, and I have some information to pass along about the 1970s in this edition of Television History and Trivia.  I start with what is probably a forgotten program---Milleluci with Dino Valle.  The program was aired on Channel 20, WXON-TV, in the Detroit area around 1974 and 1975, and each program ran for 30 minutes.  By the way, I had had only a tiny bit of information about the program before I started a search on it within the past month while hunting for information on other shows.  Based on "tracking" done in television listing publications, I was able to determine Milleluci with Dino Valle was aired from late September 1974, to the middle of August 1975.  That is the best that I can say for now.  Oh, the program focused on, for instance, Italian music.  I discovered Dino Valle was still performing in 2015, and it seems he is based in Florida now.  By the way, originally, WXON-TV started out on Channel 62 in September 1968, but the management was able to switch to Channel 20 in 1972.  In 1975, WGPR-TV came on the air, and it was on Channel 62, and it was a black-owned television station.  Between 1975 and about the middle of 1980, one of the locally produced shows on WGPR-TV was The Gino Washington Show.  Gino Washington (known really as George Washington), who was based in Detroit, had some hit songs in the early 1960s (before heading off to Vietnam as a soldier, having been drafted into the military during the Vietnam War), and, for instance, in 1962, he had I'm A Coward and Puppet on a String airing on radio, and in 1964, two of his tunes that were on the radio were Out of This World and Baby Be Mine.  It seems on March 7, 1964--when Out of This World was a hit--Gino Washington appeared at the Owosso Armory, Owosso, Michigan.  After Gino Washington was out of the military, and he went back to performing, but I know not how much.  I found out that that he was a judge in a talent contest put on by WCHB-AM (the Detroit area) on June 22, 1968.  Within the past month, I have worked to discover when that The Gino Washington Show was aired.  So far, I have found--based on television listings (which may not be completely correct)--that The Gino Washington Show aired on WGPR-TV, Channel 62, on Saturdays from November 29, 1975, to March 19, 1977, and from at least September 2, 1978, to October 14, 1968, at 6:00 p.m. (it ran for 30 minutes each day).  The program was shown on Fridays at 7:30 p.m. for about 30 minutes from September 16, 1979, to April 4, 1980.  That is the best that I have been able to do through "tracking" so far.  YouTube has some materials with Gino Washington on it, one of which is a two-part video that is an interview of James Brown (the well-known singer).  On February 19, 2016, Gino Washington uploaded a video entitled "The Original Gino Washington Comment on the franchise Geno Washington's" to YouTube, and in the video, Gino Washington talks about a person he is not thrilled with--Geno Washington, who has been, it seems, sort of living off "Gino Washington" by making it seem he is the performer with the 1960s Detroit-based hits.  In the 1960s, Geno Washington was a part of "Geno Washington and the Ram Jam Band" in England.  Gino Washington, in 1963, toured the United States of America with "Gino and the Atlantics."  In the February 19, 2016, video, Gino Washington says that his television shows The Gino Washington Show first showed up in 1974, but I  cannot find any information on that, such as on Channel 20.  Remember--WGPR-TV did not exist till 1975.  So I have to continue the hunt.  I think Gino Washington made an error about "1974".  While hunting down information about The Gino Washington Show, I tracked down the dates that Moonman Connection (sometimes seen as Moon Man Connection in television-listings publications), which may have had "The" at the beginning, aired on WGPR-TV.  The program was a soul-music dance program hosted by the Moonman (Willie Bacote), and I have found that it aired on Saturdays at 5:00 p.m. (for one hour) on a weekly basis from May 6, 1978, to November 1978, and then it aired on a weekly based at 3:00 p.m. for one hour from November 1978, to December 6, 1980.  So far, the first listing that I have been able to find is May 6, 1978, and the final listing that I have been able to find is December 6, 1980.  That is the best that I have on Moonman Connection for now.  Since 1980, Willie Bacote has been based on the East Coast of the country, such as at Baltimore, Maryland.  Today, Willie Bacote is one of the guest or volunteer disc jockeys at WKHS-FM (90.5) of  the Kent County Public School system in Worton, Maryland, and it seems he is heard for a few hours on Fridays.

While doing "tracking" on The Gino Washington Show, Moonman Connection, and Milleluci with Dino Valle, I did "tracking" work on The Ghoul (or Creature Features) and Saturday Rock, and in the future, I shall have information on those programs, and now I have a note about a special.  The "Magic Capital" of the world is at Colon, Michigan (particularly a place called Abbott's Magic), and it has been a rule for many years that magicians from around the world gather at the place for a convention.  On September 1, 1979, WTVS-TV, Channel 56, a PBS affiliate, aired a program called Magic Get-Together at 11:00 p.m., and it was about one such recent gathering.  Now, I note that "Abbott's 37th Closeup Convention" took place on March 18, 2016, and March 19, 2016, and I note that "Abbott's 79th Magic Get Together" is scheduled to take place from August 3, 2016, to August 6, 2016.

Oh, on the episode of Bowling Showcase Challenge Edition for Saturday, March 19, 2016, Thunderbowl beat Mayflower, and the score was 226 to 207, and that ended the little tournament.

On April 8, 2016, Subchannel 14.1 of the Detroit area finally got programming--a network.  The network is LATV, and it is a Spanish-language-type network.  LATV started out in April 2007.

And I had to put in this, which is like a news story, which is something that your favorite television newscaster probably did not tell you (being ignorant or rotten).  "Office of General Counsel Guidance on Application of Fair Housing Act Standards to the Use of Criminal Records by Providers of Housing and Real Estate-Related Transactions"--this was published by the federal government on April 4, 2016.  It is a document, and it is rotten.  Here is the basic idea and defective logic in it--It hints and suggests that, because, as a percentage, more blacks than whites end up in prison, and the criminal-justice system in America is racist and has been racist for a long time.  Look at some text in the document--"...Because of widespread racial and ethnic disparities in the U.S. criminal justice system, criminal history-based restrictions on access to housing are likely disproportionately to burden African Americans and Hispanics....".  The document makes no mention there is more crime in black communities than in white communities, such as because of illegal drug use or the breakdown of the black family (mostly caused by "Democrats," both blacks and whites).  Yes, the federal govenment--under Barack Obama--thinks the criminal-justice system is racist, and that means a person with rental property cannot block a person with a criminal record from living in the person-with-rental-property's place (even if the person with rental property detects something wrong or unpleasant with the person with the criminal record), and that means, in essence, the federal government is blocking people from feeling safe in their homes and being safe in their homes, and it is all tied to the government's idea of "racism" in America and a former criminal's being denied a place must always be related to racism.  It is rottenness of the highest degree!  And I think the idea can lead to more rottenness in the country--For example, if you have rental property and you decline to rent to a person with a criminal record--though your declining to take on the person with a criminal record as a renter has nothing to do with the criminal record--I think your property could be taken from you and managed by the federal government (or, in essence, now owned by the federal government)!

Remember: The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s, and I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.

Stay well!

Vic

P.S.: You are urged to see my document entitled One of "The Rules of Man"--A Rule About Health Care that No Politician May Supersede with Law, which can be reached through this Rule1 link.  I have deduced that all the Democrats and most Republicans support the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 and have no intention of killing it, though it should be killed for violating, for one, "The Rules of Man."  For example, Republicans Jeb Bush and Christ Christie support the rotten law, and that is one reason that I define them as stupid men and not men who are good enough--in this day and age--to be the U.S. President.  On February 18, 2016, during a "Republican Presidential Town Hall" broadcast on CNN, Donald Trump showed why he would not be a great U.S. President by saying--"Well, I like the mandate.  Okay.  Here's where I'm a little bit different.  I don't want people dying in the street....".  I note that the "mandate"--which forces every to buy government-approved health-care insurance--violates one of "The Rules of Man," and it is a rule that is at the heart of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.  Anyone who supports the "mandate" is not a good enough person or a smart enough person to be the U.S. president--the mandate is "enslavism," and the "mandate" allows government people--who are often and usually bad people, as history shows--decide what health care a person can get, and that is bad.
