- - - T.H.A.T., Edition No. 75 - - -

Between June 10, 2010, and June 26, 2010, while I was putting this edition of T.H.A.T. together, I was gathering information about the oil-rig disaster in the Gulf of Mexico that I could show off in this document through a segment that could be given this headline--"Did Your Favorite Television Newscast Cover This?"  What I did on June 26, 2010, though, is split the document in two, giving me T.H.A.T. #75 and a document entitled The Oil-Rig Disaster of April 2010: Evidence that Shows Barack Obama Purposely Wanted to Hurt the Beaches and More, which can be reached by using this link: Oil-Rig Disaster.  A friend of mine has said that it is good that I split T.H.A.T. #75 apart, since it would have been really, really long.  Now, see what T.H.A.T. #75!

Thursday, June 10, 2010--quite a day this was.  On this day, a vote took place in the U.S. Senate that, in essence, helped determine whether or not the Environmental Protection Agency (or the EPA) would be given clear rein to issue what rulings it wished in relation to cap-and-trade ideas and in relation to manmade global warming and the emission of carbon dioxide, which would give it the ability to determine the industrial policy of the nation from day to day and take up making rulings that should be left to the U.S. Congress, which is made up of people who were voted into office--and not appointed to office--and the vote was on "S.J. 26."  What happened is that the measure, which would lead to limiting the EPA's ability to make rules in relation to cap-and-trade, was defeated, thanks to fifty-two Democrats and one Independent.  Now, the EPA is free to issue whatever cap-and-trade regulations it wishes, some of which can lead to more taxes and penalties being imposed on the private sector of the country.  The increased burden on the private sector will shrink the private sector, because--for no good reason--it will lead to the government's acquiring or taking more money out of the control of the private sector, which would otherwise be  used to create products, develop new products, pay employees, and pay new employees.  Cap-and-trade is an evil scam, and to learn more about the subject, you should see my document entitled "CAP AND TRADE" and Carbon Dioxide Facts and Nonsense, which can be reached by using this link: Carbon.  It seems very unlikely your favorite television newscast presented the information that has been presented in this paragraph, and it is very unlikely your favorite television newscast will ever report that the killing of S.J. 26 will lead to the creation of truly insane and idiotic rules related to the emission of carbon dioxide by the EPA, the types of rules that a person can expect to come out of a communist entity or a communist arm of a communist government, which, for example, would lead to limiting your ability to travel easily within the country, as can be done today, because, for example, gasoline prices will very likely rise a lot.  Welcome to the Communist United States of America!

Warning with commentary (which will exist in every edition of T.H.A.T. through November 2010) --  Since T.H.A.T. #71 was published, the federal government--mostly Democrats in the U.S. Congress and Barack Obama--created a health-care system for the country.  To make the laws for the health-care system, the U.S. Congress--the Democrats, such as the head of U.S. House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, and the head of the U.S. Senate violated The U.S. Constitution; for example, bills are supposed to originate in the U.S. House of Representatives, and the main health-care bill (the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010) did not, having officially originated in the U.S. Senate, and the U.S. Congress, under the direction of the Democrats, used the process known as "reconciliation" to pass the health-care bill.  In addition, the new law has things that go against The U.S. Constitution or are underhanded; for example, the law requires all citizens to purchase a product--in this case, health-care insurance--which has never been allowed or done before since The U.S. Constitution does not allow such a rule to exist, and in the process to complete the new health-care bill, the bill had an attached bill that had nothing to do with health care, and that other bill when it was made law put the federal government in complete charge of the student-loan system of the country (the federal government had nationalized the student-loan system).  At the moment, a national election is scheduled for November 2010.  If people exist in the U.S. Congress who are willing to violate The U.S. Constitution, what are the odds that those people would work to block an election in some way, such as by passing a voting law attached to some big law not associated with voting that would block the election from ever taking place?

And, again, I present something that your favorite television newscast probably did not pass along to you.
Since January 20, 2010, Barack Obama has shown himself to be evil and a communist--he has been involved in nationalizing some car companies, and he has been involved in nationalizing the student-loan industry of the country, and he has been involved  in setting up the mechanisms that in a few years will nationalize the health-care industry, and he has been involved in coercion of bond holders related to the Chrysler bankruptcy, and he has been involved in violating The U.S. Constitution--and now he has the oil-rig disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, and Barack Obama has been involved in illegal and corrupt and thuggish practices, which go beyond the authority of a U.S. President.  This section of T.H.A.T. will present evidence of happenings and events that should make you worried that a worldwide depression is possible; already, I have a document, which is entitled The Economic Crash of Countries is Because of Liberalism: It is not because of Capitalism or Conservatism, that shows evidence of how big economic troubles are coming for the world and the document can be reached by using this link: Crash).  You should see in this section that the United States of America is in big trouble because of Barack Hussein Obama.
Note: I show in the document entitled The Oil-Rig Disaster of April 2010: Evidence that Shows Barack Obama Purposely Wanted to Hurt the Beaches and More that Barack Obama has been instrumental is blocking, for one, other countries from helping to contain the oil leaking from the oil-rig disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, which started on April 20, 2010, and I say that Barack Obama has delayed actions so that oil could hurt beaches of the United States of America, allow him to put people out of work, allow him to make BP (the operator of the oil-rig site) a villain in the eyes of Americans, help him begin the process to nationalize oil companies in the country, and extort money from BP (which is overall a British company and which, being based in Europe, is an enemy of his, given that Barack Obama has done other things to show his displeasure with Europeans), and it must be remembered that Barack Obama did not even comment on the oil-rig disaster till about eight days after the oil-rig explosion had occurred.
So, here is some background information.  On Wednesday, June 16, 2010, Barack Obama met with executives of BP (once known as British Petroleum, by the way), and the meeting was a private meeting at the White House.  What came out of the meeting was that BP agreed to provide over the near future twenty-billion dollars for an escrow account, money that would be used--as it was publicly reported--to pay on claims made by individuals or businesses affected by the oil-rig disaster, and it was reported that the money would be watched over by an independent third party, though Barack Obama made his "Pay Czar" the man in charge of the entity.  In addition, a few days before the meeting, Barack Obama had announced a moratorium on oil drilling in some areas--till the cause of the accident could be determined and steps to stop a potential new accident from happening could be put in place--and that action was going to put people out of work--and, then, on this day, which was Wednesday, June 16, 2010, BP had agreed to, in essence, hand over one-hundred-million dollars for a foundation, and that money would be used to pay money to people who were put out of work by Barack Obama's moratorium.  (What you have is a U.S. President involved in coercion and extortion.)
Keep this in mind: Barack Obama had no power to make BP hand over any money, and, anyway, the United States of America has a court system that handles such issues as claims for damages and such, and that means Barack Obama circumvented the legislative system of the country and worked as a dictator (a thug).
On May 28, 2010, people who happened to see CNBC might have discovered a report about Steve Winn, who is a casino owner.  He was interviewed by a reporter and made statements that should have scared people.  Here, I present two parts of an audio clip involving Steve Winn and the reporter that I was able to hear.
I start by presenting the shortest of the two parts of my presentation by presenting one statement that Steve Winn made:
At one point, Steve Winn said, "...And it's common sense that's disappeared in Washington, D.C.  It's common sense that disappeared in the years of seven and eight in America...."
Now, let me present a back-and-forth section between Steve Winn and the staffer of CNBC:
Steve Winn: "...We're inheriting, we're inheriting the awful results, both in our government--or we will shortly--of wild uncontrolled spending, unbelievable unsustainable debt.  And yet here we are doing it again, twenty billion a month to the FHA, on top of what happened to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  We're doing it again today!  For twenty billion a month, we're destroying the housing market again, under the name of a stimulus, phony misrepresented names."
Reporter: "Wi, will you find common sense in Macau?  You're getting a lot of criticism from wanting to move your headquarters there.  Will it be...."
Steve Winn: "...When we say, when we say we're gonna to move our headquarters there, it means I'm going to spend half my time there and that we're gonna do, we're gonna spend more of our focus and planning for Asia from Macau.  Ah, when I say we're moving our headquarters--we're splitting our headquarters is what we're doing.  Ah, I didn't sug, I, I didn't mean for people ta...or jump to conclusion we're all leaving Las Vegas.  That's preposterous!  Now, what what we are doing is measuring our presence in China commensurate with the part of our business that's represented there.  And the opportunities that I see far superior aboard than in America."
Reporter: "What about the regulation, the government oversight in working there as opposed to here?"
Steve Winn: "Macau has been steady.  The shocking unexpected government is the one in Washington.  That's where we get surprises every day.  That's where taxes are changed every five minutes.  That's where you don't know what to expect tomorrow.  To compare political stability and, and, and, and, ah, predictability in China to Washington is like comparing Mount Everest to an ant hill.  Macau and China is stable.  Washington is not!  Is there a businessman and, or a media person in America that doesn't think that they don't, that, that isn't frightened about what the next crazy idea is coming from Washington.  The financial institutions, the cars, the businessmen, the taxes, the health care, everything is cuckoo, and God knows what's next!"
Reporter: "What's health care going to cost you?"
Steve Winn: "A lot!  It's gonna, it's gonna produce the exact opposite of what they've said.  It's.  Health costs keep, because of that twenty-seven-hundred pages is going up--not down.  In as simple as possible terms, they added thirty-two million people, the amount of doctors are going down, and the amount we're paying them is less.  When demand goes up, and the supply of doctors goes down, what happens to the price?  High-school students out there, children, price goes up!  The one thing that would have saved us money, the control of frivolous lawsuits.  They didn't touch with a ten-foot pole.  Those hypocritical S.O.B.s in Congress, they didn't touch it with a ten-foot pole!  Every insurance company, every businessman in America said, 'Doctors are doing testing in fear of frivolous lawsuits that are unnecessary and it's jackin' up the price of medicine.  Please do something about that!'  In Texas, they put a cap on punitive damages, and the, and the malpractice insurance dropped by forty-five percent in one year.  Did they do it in Washington?  No!  So, when you ask me about predictability or uncertainty politically in China compared to Washington, I take China.  Washington is unpredictable these days.  Washington is.  No one in, in the business community...has an idea what's next.  What's even worse, the people who do business with us--that buy our bonds in other countries--don't know what's next.  The uncertainty of the business climate in America is frightening, frightening to everybody.  And it's delaying a recovery.  We're on our way to Greece in the hands of a confused and foolish government that's living up to the prediction of Alexiv, Alex Touquville [Alexis de Tocqueville], who in 1909 said the American system of democracy will prevail until that moment when the politicians discover that they can bribe the electorate with their own money.   And, boy, it's in full bloom, today!  So extreme that it'll probably have an end up to itself.  The public is frightened!  The tea-party business is all about fear.  There's a sense in the land of discomfort.  There's a sense of fear that the politicians are ruining us.  And the people are right.  We've got to stop!  It's got to stop!...."

Advertisement: In March 2009, a book called Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, which had been written by Mark R. Levin, was published.  Through the book, Mark R. Levin talks about how tyranny has been creeping into the country, and he also talks about how the country has been changing from a representative republic, which has a constitution as a basis, to something, yet to be defined, and although Mark R. Levin says that it is the statist who is causing the change, especially those who are a part of the Democratic Party and in government jobs, I say that it is communists, socialists, would-be dictators, and Marxists, such as Barack Obama, who are making the changes, such as by discarding The U.S. Constitution.  I urge you to see and read Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, and pass it on to others, especially teenagers and young adults (and consider listening to The Mark Levin Show, the nationally syndicated radio show, on a regular basis).

Let me run a special "babe"-watch section here for real guys, and I do it this time to teach a lesson, which might surprise you.  I have seen some photographs of some female television personalities that I would like to see walking along a beach while each wears a skimpy bikini--maybe.  Unfortunately for me, it will probably not happen--if it ever happens--on a beach in the Gulf Coast area, because I live far away from that area, and, anyway, my analysis shows Barack Obama purposely blocked having foreign entities and other countries help contain the leaked oil in the Gulf of Mexico since April 20, 2010, so that he could hurt beaches (and do other damage to the country), and he did indeed hurt some beaches, which will reduce the bikini-gal traffic on beaches.  So, let me--maybe--take the gals up to the beaches of Lake Huron along the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.  On first thought, I would be most happy to see Padma Lakshmi (who was shown on page 74 of TV Guide for July 7-20, 2010, and who hosts Top Chef: Washington, D.C.), Keshia Knight Pulliam (who was pictured on page two of American Profile magazine for July 13-19, 2010 (which is a magazine that shows up in Sunday newspapers around the country), and who appears regularly in the sitcom entitled Tyler Perry's House of Payne), and Melanie Brown (who was once a Spice Girl, who was pictured on page two of American Profile magazine for June 11-13, 2010, and who was the host of Dance Your Ass Off on Oxygen around the time the picture was published).  Well, let me look beyond packages.  Since I am a television historian, I have come across information about Melanie Brown that cancels her--she has, in essence, supported Barack Obama by being at television or entertainment events with Barack Obama themes.  Stay off the beach that I use, Melanie.  Now, I get around to Keshia Knight Pulliam and Padma Lakshmi.  Well, I discovered Keshia Knight Pulliam did get involved in inauguration celebrations in Washington, D.C., for  Barack Obama on January 20, 2010, so--too bad for me--I have to assume that Keshia Knight Pulliam has a brain that is somewhat defective.  I will not see her in a bikini.  Oh, well!  And then we come to Padma Lakshmi.  I found no real indication about whether or not she supported Barack Obama.  So, the question about her remains in the air.  Till more is learned about Padma Lakshmi, she can stroll down the beach.  You win some and you lose some, or you win some by avoiding the nonsense and the defective minds.

So, I get off of the babes for a moment now to get to something even more serious.  On Tuesday, June 29, 2010, Elena Kagan began to answer questions from U.S. Senators during the U.S. Supreme Court confirmation hearings, and she made some worrisome statements.  Consider this exchange of dialogue between U.S. Senator Tom Coburn (a Republican related to Oklahoma) and Elena Kagan, which you may have missed on television:
Tom Coburn: "...If I wanted to sponsor a bill, and it said, 'Americans, you have to eat three vegetables and three fruits every day,' and I got it through Congress, and it's now the law of the land--you gonna do it--is that violate the 'Commerce Clause'?"
Elena Kagan: "Sounds like a dumb law."
Tom Coburn: "Yeah.  I, I got one that's really similar to it, I think is equally dumb.  I'm not gonna mention which, which it is."
Elena Kagan: "But I think that the question on whether it's a dumb law is different from whether the question of whether it's constitutional.  And, and, dah, and I think that courts would be wrong ta strike down laws that that they think are, are, ah, senseless, just because they're senseless."
Tom Coburn: "Well, I guess the question I'm asking is--Do we have the power to tell people what they have to eat every day?"
Elena Kagan: "...eh, Se, Senator Coburn, um, I, I...."  [The first set of "..." is where she was silent for a moment and then began to stutter, and the second set of "..." is where she stalled.]
Tom Coburn: "I mean, what is the extent of the 'Commerce Clause'?  We have this wide embrace of the 'Commerce Clause,' which these guys who wrote this never ever fathomed that we would be so stupid to take our liberties away by expanding the 'Commerce Clause' this way.'"
You should see that Elena Kagan did not answer Tom Coburn's main question and did not say something like, "No, the government does not have the authority to tell you what you can and cannot eat."
Note: You are urged to see my documents entitled Justice for All?: The Rules are Changing Under Barack Obama (which can be reached through this Justice link) and Fairness?: A Guide for the Individual Woman and the Individual Man in the United States of America (which can be reached by using this Fairness link).

So, let us look at the quality of Today and Natalie Morales.  On Wednesday, June 30, 2010, I happened to catch the short newscast done by Natalie Morales on Today at roughly 9:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time.  One of the little news bits was about Elena Kagan's confirmation-hearing event of the previous day (Tuesday, June 29, 2010).  The best thing that Natalie Morales was able to say about Elena Kagan's testimony in front of U.S. Senators was that she was "praised for her sense of humor."  I say in jest, "Yes, it is good to have a U.S. Supreme Court Justice who will be laughing while she takes your free speech way, while she bans books, and while she forces you to accept that the government can tell you what to buy and what not to buy, even food."  And since Natalie Morales reported such nonsense as "praised for her sense of humor," that makes Natalie Morales a useless reporter.

Announcement (again): Since national broadcast television networks do a poor job of covering information about many important topics, I will try to take up the work of filling in some of the holes.  I urge you to see www.saveourhealthcarenow.com and www.noperformancetax.org, because they have important information about the country.  The former has information about the health-care industry in the United States of America, and you should and must see it, and you are urged to sign the petition that exists there, and the latter has information about a proposed tax system related to radio stations and music, and the latter will show you what nonsense that U.S. Representative John Conyers (a Democrat of Michigan) is trying to push on the country.

On Thursday, June 24, 2010, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill, which then was passed on to the U.S. Senate, informally entitled the "Disclose Act."  The bill passed by a vote of 219 "yes" votes and 206 "no" votes.  The bill is a very, very bad bill that limits free speech!  You are urged to see my document entitled Fairness?: A Guide for the Individual Woman and the Individual Man in the United States of America, which can be reached by using this link: Fairness.  I will say that, in essence, the bill parses out speech, allowing entities beholden to the Democratic Party politically to have more freedoms than entities associated with the Republican Party politically--it is censorship, as you might find in a communist country.

The U.S. Representative Barney Frank said on CNBC--Power Lunch--and Friday, June 25, 2010: "...It will make it very, very unlikely that we will have the same kind of crisis.  There may something new and different.  But you could not have an AIG situation, for example.  One of the most important things we did is to change the whole set of rules the let the bad loans.  Bad loans were at the heart this.  We have very specific restrictions on bad sub-prime loans.  We don't allow them.  There will be no more AIG's being kept alive...."  Keep his statement in mind, since I have stuff related to it elsewhere in this document.

Announcement for the novice again: To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, go to Fox News Channel, WorldNetDaily.com, "The Drudge Report," and CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama, as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (to learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the Fox News Channel and those mentioned with it in presenting political stories and events, and you should discover CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV avoid covering things that make Barack Obama look bad or show his true nature, which could harm you).  If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you.

I remind you--Barack Obama is an evil and insane man (and you are urged to see my proofs entitled Madness in the President and Other Matters of a Defective Mind, which can be reached by using this Madness link, and Barack Obama Exposed: Inside the Unrepairable Flawed Mind, which can be reached by using this Flawed link.)

Warning and commentary: It seems very likely you have not heard much about the United Nations climate-change treaty that many politicians, such as Barack Obama, are hoping to create, because the main media, such as NBC-TV, care not if the United States of America becomes just another country governed under a proposed international main communist country and if The U.S. Constitution and rights for you get trumped by international laws, such as Sharia Law and communist rules of other countries of the world.  Over the next few weeks or months, you are going to learn how deep the evilness is within the main media of the United States of America.  If you have little information in your mind about the badness of the proposed treaty, you should see what I have passed along to you from Lord Christopher Monckton in my document entitled World Tyranny: Warnings about the Insane Who are Trying to Create a Communist World Country, and I say that, through it, you will get a better appreciation of your enemy (and to see World Tyranny: Warnings about the Insane Who are Trying to Create a Communist World Country, you can use this link: World).  When you have an enemy, you hate the enemy and you shut the enemy down!  The war is on, and you do not have to be nice!

It is time to turn on a program with Neil Cavuto (of the Fox Business channel) or at least a portion that was shown on Friday, June 25, 2010.  The piece of program that you are about to read--instead of see and hear--had Neil Cavuto interviewing the head economist for the AFL-CIO.  Study it well (and, by the way, in the middle part or, really, most of it, they were talking at the same time, so you will see "..." to indicate words are missing, since I could not clearly understand them from the audio clip that I had), and the topic is having the government use "stimulus" money to create jobs or have the government spend more money to create jobs::
Neil Cavuto: "If the trillion dollars we spent have not added jobs, and minus census workers, which seems to be about the, about the best gig going.  You're not creating the jobs.  And all this money you want....  Then why should we keep digging?  What's, what's wrong with saying, 'Let's put the shovel down.  That's not working.'"
Ron Blackwell: "Look, we just had the most serious economic crisis since the Great Depression.  We had a massive collapse of assets...."
Neil Cavuto: "Ron, I understand that...."
Ron Blackwell"...trillion dollars in net worth...."
    Neil Cavuto: "...spend it...."
Ron Blackwell: "Why don't you let me finish my thought?"
Neil Cavuto: "Because you never answer it, you never answer...."
Ron Blackwell: "...answering you, right now."
    Neil Cavuto: "...answer....":
    Ron Blackwell: "...right now..."
    Neil Cavuto: "...more work...."
Ron Blackwell: "These programs did create jobs.  But not net creation.  We lost more jobs because of the recession, then were created by these programs."
    Neil Cavuto: "...Wel...."
    Ron Blackwell: "...problem...."
Neil Cavuto: "...wait a minute!  You're, you're the Chief Economist, there."
    Ron Blackwell: "Absolutely."
Neil Cavuto: "Where did you get your degree, I mean, at a baking school?  Where are you cooking up these numbers?  The fact of the matter is...."
    Ron Blackwell: "...joker...."
    Neil Cavuto: "...trillion...."
    Ron Blackwell: "...you're an ***bleep***."
Neil Cavuto: "...dollars, and we've not see results from that money.  And now you're saying, 'Well, it could have been worse...."
Ron Blackwell: "...I've just told you, we have seen results."
So, the argument being pushed by Ron Blackwell was that more money had to be spent by the federal government to create more jobs.   And that means the federal government has to print more money to create jobs, and that is bad since printing more money (actual bills) leads to inflation.  Or that means that the federal government has to raise taxes so that it has money to spend, but that leads to individuals and businesses having less money that they can use to create jobs, and, really, government does not create jobs that are worthwhile--those that, for example, make things--but government only makes jobs that are for the most part related to moving paper around and filing statistics about people, et cetera.  Ron Blackwell is either an idiot or evil, promoting nonsense economics.

Warning with commentary (which will exist in every edition of T.H.A.T. through November 2010) --  Let me pass along information to show why it is important for every good American to vote against all Barack Obama supporters in elections in November 2010, and it means every good American, such as those who in the past have avoided voting, must vote.  In December 2009, the citizens of the United States of America and other countries "dodged a bullet" when no international climate-change treaty was agreed to in Copenhagen, which must have greatly disappointed Barack Obama, since such an international treaty would have set down rules that would have supplanted laws in the United States of America, but I here make a note that, about a year ago, some people were reporting on Web sites, such as that of the Gun Owners of America, that Barack Obama was pushing for an international gun treaty, and now that you know more about what Barack Obama is, a bad man, I report that Barack Obama is a type of man who--it seems to me--would really like to have such a treaty enacted since it would reduce the ability of Americans to fight back against enemies who enter the country from other places and to fight back against a radical government.  It takes the U.S. Senate to ratify a treaty signed by a U.S. President, and Americans must make sure the U.S. Senate gets more "conservatives" through the next election to make sure an international treaty about gun control would never be ratified by the U.S. Senate.  (You are urged to see my document entitled "CAP AND TRADE" and Carbon Dioxide Facts and Nonsense, which can be reached by using this link: Carbon.)

Since June 10, 2010, when I published the previous edition of T.H.A.T., I added a section to my document entitled Patriots of the U.S.A. and the Counter-Counter Revolution, and, for one, the documents contains words spoken by Jon Voight on The Mark Levin Show, such as those from a letter he had written to Barack Obama, and I urge you to see Patriots of the U.S.A. and the Counter-Counter Revolution so that you can see what Jon Voight--though an actor, in this day and age, when many actors are against the United States of America as it was founded--said, and you can reach the document by using this link: Patriots.

Commentary: One of the series that viewers saw this season was Undercover Boss, which was a series in which an owner of a company or an executive of a company went undercover and did other jobs at the company.  One of the episodes focused on Hooters.  By the way, I have yet to go in to a Hooters, not having one near me it seems or not knowing where one is nearby where I live.  Someday!  Well, I believe that the owners of Hooters can set the policy about how staffers can look, since they are the owners--it is not up to a government body to determine what rules Hooters can set.  When gals attempt to become staffers of Hooters, they go into it with the idea in mind that they must meet the standards required of them by the company, as happens in other companies.  In May 2010 and June 2010, I saw stories in the Detroit Free Press that noted that some gals, such as Cassie Smith (of Roseville, Michigan)--were suing Hooters because Hooters had let them go because of how they looked, having, for example, added weight.  I do not sympathize with the gals.  People get fired from all types of jobs all the time--for instance, baseball players get fired and executives get fired.  In the case of Hooters, known rules are in place.  The gals were let go, and so goes life.  (Neaving, Steve.  "Roseville woman sues Hooters."  Detroit Free Press, 25 May 2010, p. 3A; Heaving, Steve.  "Hooters says it has a right to ensure servers look good." Detroit Free Press, 3 June 2010, p. 6A.)

Public Service Announcement: If you wish to avoid giving a donation to nonprofit groups that support "manmade global warming" legislation or "manmade climate-change" legislation, such as the very bad American Clean Energy and Security Act (which is also known as the Waxman-Markey Bill), give to something better--particularly the Heritage Foundation and the Landmark Legal Foundation, which are organizations that support The U.S. Constitution and are working to defeat Barack Obama's plans to take over the country.   (You should see my document entitled "CAP AND TRADE" and Carbon Dioxide Facts and Nonsense, which can be reached through this link: Carbon.)

Oh, did you notice this NBC-TV programming event.  On Sunday, July 4, 2010, NBC-TV aired the program entitled Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, which is an annual event.  This year, the featured artist was Justin Bieber, who is a Canadian.  Well, is that not to be expected from a far-left-wing network--featuring a Canadian on the Fourth of July for the United States of America?

Public Service Announcement: Rules for Radicals, which is a book put together by Saul Alinsky (a communist) about 40 years ago, is a book that Barack Obama is very familiar with and follows, and if you wonder what you can do in relation to Barack Obama to beat him, I say, "Well, see my document entitled Rules of a Radical Destroyer: The Barack Obama Case, which can be reached though this link: Radical.

Recently, I saw Oliver Stone, the filmmaker, on television promoting something or other--I did not stay tuned to the program, knowing what Oliver Stone is, having learned that over the decades.  Here, I present in text form what I heard in an audio clip put together by CNS News.  You will see some of what Oliver Stone is through the material, which was put together at the National Press Club on Wednesday June 23, 2010:
CNS News reporter: "When the federal government took over ownership of General Motors, Hugo Chavez said that President Obama could actually end up to the left of him.  Would you agree with President Chavez's statement at this point?"
Oliver Stone: "No, not at all.  I think, ah, Obama is very much the centrist in, in a time of great change...."

Oh, on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch (a Republican related to Utah) asked Elena Kagan a question during a hearing session about whether or not she had written a particular memo   Elena Kagan said, "Senator, with respect, I, I don't think that that's what happened, ah, here."  Again, in essence, Orrin Hatch asked her the question again.  This time, Elena Kagan said, "I'm sorry the memo which is...."  Orrin Hatch then explained what memo to which he had referred.  Elena Kagan spoke again, "Yes!  Well, I've seen the document.  And I've seen the document."  Orrin Hatch interrupted her to ask he she had written the document.  Once more, Elena Kagan spoke, "The document is certainly in my hand writing...."

A reminder (updated): Remember to tell your children and grandchildren that they should never pledge to be a "servant to Obama" or a servant to any president, which was a topic in T.H.A.T. #58, and remember to tell them to not blindly "believe" in leaders, and that is a lesson in this edition of T.H.A.T., as it was in the past and will be in the future.  By the way, remember, in the "Presidential Video," which is one topic of T.H.A.T. #58, one male says, "I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama."; one female says, "I pledge to be a servant to our president."  And make sure your children and grandchildren are not singing songs at school that praise Barack Obama, which has been done by children at some schools around the country since January 2009, since children should never sing songs that praise any politician, especially a megalomaniac and narcissist like Barack Obama.

Now, I present part of an interview that Sean Hannity did with Daniel Hannan of the British Parliament of Wednesday, June 30, 2010, and the interview was not on the Hannity television show (of the Fox News Channel) but on The Sean Hannity Show, which is a nationally syndicated radio show, and I present this information to show you what you will not get from a local television talk show, such as, for Detroiters, on WXYZ-TV, WJBK-TV, and WDIV-TV.
At one point, Daniel Hannan said, "Yeah.  You're, you're Europeanizing your economy, and, and I am living in your future.  My presence here as a member of the European Parliament is grizzly vision of America's future.  So, you, you look at what he's [Barack Obama's] doing, and you see not just a series of random mistakes but a comprehensive program of Europeanization--European health care, European day care, European welfare, European tax levels, and, of course, with that, you get European unemployment levels, ah, which you've now got for the first time since--I don't know--the early seventies.  Um, and so, you know, I, I'm sure he kind of believes in all these things.  I don't think he's unprincipled, but I, as someone who is currently, ah, standing at the end point of that road, I, I would gently warn you against it."
I bet you have not caught an interview with a statement like that presented by Daniel Hannan on any of your local television stations.

Well, here is a last-minute news entry--sort of--the topic of which your favorite television newscast did not cover.   On Thursday, July 8, 2010, I was listening to The Rush Limbaugh Program, which is a nationally syndicated radio program, and Rush Limbaugh got on the topic of the financial-reform legislation that is active in the U.S. Congress.  Here is a portion of what he said, and, really, the material was from a piece written by a woman named Diana Furchtgott-Roth  (Furchtgott-Roth, Diana.  "Gender Quotas In the Financial Sector?"  RealClearMarkets, 8 July 2010), but, indirectly, some of the material is from Section 342 of the legislation, and I treat all the material as a whole piece said by Rush Limbaugh:
"...Section 342 declares that race and gender employment ratios, if not quotas, must be observed by private financial institutions that do business with the government.  In a major power grab, the new law inserts race and gender quotas into America's financial industry.  In addition to this bill's well-publicized plans to establish over a dozen new financial regulatory offices, Section 342 sets up at least twenty offices of minority and women inclusion.  This has had no coverage by the news media, yet it has large implications.  Treasury, the FDIC, the Federal Housing Agency, the twelve Federal Reserve regional banks, the Board of Governors of the Fed, the National Credit Union Administration, the Controller of the Currency, the SEC, the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau...all would get their own office of minority and women inclusion.  Each office would have its own director and staff to develop policy promoting equal employment opportunities and racial, ethnic, gender diversity of not just the agency's workforce but also the workforce of its contractors and subcontractors...."

I nearly end this edition of T.H.A.T. by talking about a very good television show (though I have, over the years, uncovered some productions errors, but errors do occur when making shows, from Star Trek to Star Wars). The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s.  Again I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.

I am going to leave you with a bit of humor.  On Saturday, July 3, 2010, Hallmark channel presented viewers Dolly Celebrates 25 Years of Dollywood, which is a Dolly Parton-theme park in Tennessee.  I was near it when I went to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, in May 2010, and the show reminds me of an old joke of mine.  I hear, when Dollywood was started up, there was a big statue of Dolly Parton at the entrance to Dollywood, and it was made of wood.  Did you know for a number of weeks after the theme park was opened, the first-aid station at the park was really swamped with minor injuries to boys.  In the first several weeks, the nurses had to remove hundreds and hundreds of slivers from the palms of boys.  It was quite a time!

Stay well!

Vic

P.S. #1: The telephone number of the U.S. Congressional Switchboard is: 1-202-224-3121.  (Use it to fight against the creation of a national-health-care system, especially a system pushed through law by a defective thinker, a man who has created nothing, and a man whose history is mostly filled with tearing things down, a man who continually puts down the U.S.A.--Barack Obama.  By the way, one of the more recent events in which he put down the entire business community of the country took place on Wednesday May 13, 2009, and you should see the second entry for Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in the document entitled Nonsense Statements and Quotations of Barack Obama).

P.S. #2: Do not forget that, since late 2008, I have put within editions of Michigan Travel Tips information about "green technology," "global warming" stuff, and "climate change" stuff, and to get to the catalog for all the Michigan Travel Tips publications, use this link: Travel.
