Special Note about New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani
It seems that back in January 1, 2026, and around January 1, 2026, a lot of news organizations failed purposely and out of laziness to report words spoken by newly elected New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a communist, in a public speech or even proclamation. To right the wrong, I present in this document one of the hideous statements that Zohran Mamdani presented on the day to the public, and the statement shows the evilness of his mind. Zohran Mamdani stated flatly and directly and clearly--"...We will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism....". The statement can be called a lie, but, to Zohran Mamdani, that is what he wants to do. That means Zohran Mamdani wants you to become a non-individual--a person not with your own thoughts and goals and aspirations--or to become just another one of the group, under the umbrella of his arms and rules. Zohran Mamdani does not want you to work on your own behalf to be better in this world and life and be better than what the lowest common denominator is, and he does not want you to gain through time the strength through trial and error and work to be strong enough to stand up to the nonsense that he is. Zohran Mamdani wants to be your protector in life and provider in life--for his sake and ability to be free to do whatever he wants. Incidentally, a "collective" (a word often used by communists and like people) is nothing more than a collection of people who are supposed to be the same and alike and even be passive to a leader. In life, you have to gain stamina through your actions of doing things, and a person's being a individual and working for the self to make things and do things increases the strength of the person, but a person's relying on, for example, a government leader does not develop strength in the person over time. It must be pointed out the "rugged individualism" is an American term used to describe persons with the ability to do for the self, and, certainly, when Zohran Mamdani used the term, Zohran Mamdani was consciously working to put down and discredit the United States of America and Americanism and anyone who would not follow his ways of life for the masses or his "collective."

Well, welcome to a special edition of Television History of Trivia, which is a cut-down version of what I usually present. For one, the introduction is used to get you to see the edition of Michigan Travel Tips for this month (September 2026), which can be reached by using this Travel #269 link. That document talks about what will be lost if more socialists and communists and progressives and liberals get into public offices, especially if they gain control on government units, such as the U.S. Congress. Because in countries based on, for example, communism, people have less money to use to create things, and, in particular, Michigan Travel Tips #269 talks about how tourism attractions will disappear, because "the people" will not have money to run them or support them. Think about all the types of tourist attractions that can be found in the country, many of which can be called silly or cute or nutty. Communistic countries and like countries do not have such places, because there no extra money to make them and run them and visit them. This introduction also has information about news on television, which is sort of like news in newspapers. I saw the edition of the Detroit Free Press for August 18, 2026, I one-half page was used to talk about--what I think--the ill-looking Ariana Grande, and one-half page was used to talk about the death of Hayden Panetteire. Years ago, a newspapers would not give so much paper space to such persons or topics, but, today, a lot of filler exists in stories that other real news does not get presented. The Ariana Grande story was too much nothing. And did Hayden Panettiere--no real "star" like those of decades ago--really deserve to have a half-page story about there. To me, the Hayden Panettiere story could have been cut in half (at least) so that real news could be offered. But look at the main page of Yahoo! or Bing when you fire either up. It is so much fluff news. So goes television news, too! No wonder Americans are stupid about what communism and socialism and progressivism and liberalism are really about--they are basically the same thing, and the idea is rotten politics.
Have you been paying attention to Channel 20--WMYD-TV--of the Detroit area. I have not. I have been busy with a special project, which I hope to complete soon (after having spent years on it). Did you know that, in June of this year, the station was dubbed "The Spot -- Channel 20"? Is that not great, I say in jest? Does that make you want to see the channel or station? Do you even care? The name does nothing for me, especially since it just does not mean much.
I have to admit that I have been watching "vanlife" videos on YouTube recently, and one reason is that I was looking for things that I might consider doing to make a camper van for myself, and that ties in with my Michigan Travel Tips #252 document, which can be reached by using this Travel #252 link. If the country were put in control of communists and like rotten people, the vanlife thing would certainly disappear. For one, tourist places to see would disappear. It is very like vanlife would be more difficult because of laws that would hinder such a lifestyle monetarily, which, for one, retirees might take up for a while to see the country. By the way, I have seen a bunch of single black gals running in their van homes. I say--Good for each of them, and keep on truckin'.
Announcement for the novice again (reworked in March 2019): To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, try Breitbart News Network (the history of which goes back to 2007), WorldNetDaily.com, Newsmax TV (which was started up in 2014), CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), and One America News Network (a.k.a. OAN), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama-type people (communists, socialists, progressives, liberals, and Shariaists), as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (Note: To learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the better places mentioned). I note that the Fox News Channel is evolving into a rotten channel, becoming like those that I have put down in this paragraph. If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and even now much of what is on the Fox News Channel and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you. In 2019, "The Drudge Report" was sold, and it should be treated as suspect for now. [Note: Everyone in the Democratic Party in the country is rotten, and the Republican Party establishment has shown itself to be socialistic and communistic within the last few years, and only a few of the rotten people tied to the Republican Party are U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, and Chris Christie.]
[Note: Here is an example of Chris Christie's rottenness. On Sunday, February 6, 2022, Chris Christie was a guest on This Week with George Stephanopoulos (of ABC-TV), which had Martha Raddatz as the host, and Chris Christie pushed out crap. For example, Chris Christie said--"...And let's face it. Let's call it what it is. January 6 was a riot that was incited by Donald Trump...an effort to intimidate Mike Pence and the Congress into doing exactly what he said in his own words last week--overturn the election. And he's trying to do a cleanup on aisle one here...." and "...He actually told the truth by accident. He wanted the election to be overturned....". That is bullshit!]Recently, the "Fall Preview" edition of TV Guide showed up in the mail (covering August 31-September 20, 2026), and I cannot say what day was the arrival day, and on the arrival day, I did not look at the magazine well, leaving for the next day or the whatever. When I went to see the edition, I purposely looked to see the set up of the prime-time broadcast network schedule for the fall of 2026. I have been looking at those regularly since 1981, when I became a subscriber to TV Guide. Oh, I have seen fall schedules in TV Guide and have seen fall schedules from other sources covering the years from the late 1940s to the early 1980s. The editions made in the early years of television were fun to see. There were a lot of fun new things and fun old things presented in the schedules. I looked at the schedule for the fall of 2026, and I thought to myself--Pretty boring, more of the same, nothing big, so what?. I have to report-first--that the schedule only showed six new show, and most of those were more of the same police-related or crime-related stuff, such as NCIS: New York, and Private Eyes West Coast and Line of Fire. Once again--The networks have too much of the same stuff (in essence). There is nothing new for kids, which I expected to see, since the networks gave up on real children years ago. By the way, The Simpsons and Universal Basic Guys and Grimsburg are not considered by me to be for children, and, if you look at all three series, the overall feeling of somewhat ugly and gutterish. The schedule showed lack of diversity. The schedule showed lack of showmanship. The scheduled that I had football (at least for background noise) for four evenings. By the way, TV Guide guys and gals did not even spend the time to color up the page to show, for instance, the new things; they only put "new" on the page. In a way, it looked to me as if--it (the schedule) was just there. There is no reason to really pay attention. It seems it does not take much work to be the programmer for the prime-time schedule of any of the broadcast networks. I guess the guy in the mail room could probably do the job during breaks.

During the election primary season in Michigan, I saw a commercial on television that was showing the nature of Abdul El-Sayed, and it was put out by Abdul El-Sayed's competition--Abdul El-Sayed was working to be a U.S. Senator for Michigan through the election of early November 2026. The commercial showed Abdul El-Sayed (who is an enslavist, especially related to Sharia) saying a number of times that he is "dangerous." The commercial showed the true nature of the rotten man, and he is nothing more than a thug and a thug based in violence, and he is no "statesman" or great political thinker who deserves to be in public office. I have to say that, indeed, Abdul El-Sayed is "dangerous," because what he really wants to be the way of life for Americans is bad for Americans and any people. That brings me to the point of this paragraph. Normally, I present a Looking at the Movies feature in an edition of Television History and Trivia, but, this time, I go off the main track a bit, choosing not to present a movie that was on a television station in the Detroit area in the first few years of the television station. On Friday, September 4, 2026, I happened to tune in to the "Movies!" subchannel network, and the channel was running a movie called Keeper of the Flame, and the movie was about over, having starting at 1:40 p.m. and having been tune in my me somewhere around 3:40 p.m.. On the screen was a scene with actor Spencer Tracy and actress Katharine Hepburn, and the main subject was a man, who had evolved into a rotten man--like Abdul El-Sayed--an enslavist, who, for example, has come to support communistic-like and socialistic-like thoughts and ways for others--the people, who he hates. The 1942 movie scene made be wonder who would act in such parts today, given the themes were and are anti-Democratic Party as the party stands today. For viewers in the Detroit area, the movie called Keeper of the Flame (of 1942) first showed up on television on Sunday, May 31, 1959, at 10:30 p.m. on Channel 9, CKLW-TV (of Windsor, Ontario, Canada), and, later, the station would air it other times, and, over the coming years, Channel 7 (WXYZ-TV) would run the movie, and Channel 50 (WKBD-TV) would run the movie. The movie segment that I saw talked about an ugly mind, and it reminded me of the ugly mind that I was exposed to in the commercial focused on Abdul El-Sayed. To see something that probably could not be made as, for example, a new made-for-TV movie or shown on a broadcast network, look for Keeper of the Flame on some video service or whatever.
Remember: The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s, and I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.

I have deduced that all the Democrats and most Republicans support the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 and have no intention of killing it, though it should be killed for violating, for one, "The Rules of Man." For example, Republicans Jeb Bush and Chris Christie support the rotten law, and that is one reason that I define them as stupid men and not men who are good enough--in this day and age--to be the U.S. President. I note that the "mandate"--which forces everyone to buy government-approved health-care insurance--violates one of "The Rules of Man," and it is a rule that is attacked in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010. Anyone who supports the "mandate" is not a good enough person or a smart enough person to be the U.S. president--the mandate is "enslavism," and the "mandate" allows government people--who are often usually bad people, as history shows--decide what health care a person can get, and that is bad.
