Special Important Announcement

I now have a document at the website for The Hologlobe Press entitled A COVID-19 Document that Shows the Rottenness of the CDC, Many in the Medical Community, Many in the Media, and All the Democrats, such as Gretchen Whitmer, Andrew Cuomo, and Joseph Biden, and the document can be reached by using this COVID-19 link.

Another Special Important Announcement

This document is about television especially, but it can also be about a related subject--video or video stuff.  On July 6, 2023, a video called "'Missing' Biden corruption case witness Dr. Gal Luft details allegations against president's family" was posted on YouTube.  It is a video that I urge you to see, since it passes along information from Dr. Gal Luft (a former Israeli army officer), who has information about, for instance, the Joseph Biden family's dealings with an entity called CEFC (a Chinese energy company), and Dr. Gal Luft also passes along information about how the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have dealt with him and information about the Joseph Biden family.  Oh, if the video--which is tied to The New York Post (specially a writer named Miranda Devine)--cannot be found on YouTube when you  search, you can see there is trouble with YouTube, and you will have to look for another source for the video.  The video is a serious matter!

- - - T.H.A.T., Edition No. 231 - - -

I have been saying for some time--years--that the United States of America is in "The Pseudo Information Age and the Age of Ignorance," and one reason the country is in that state of existence is tied to the main media in the country, and I here--in this introduction to another edition of Television History and Trivia--will show proof by talking about some political talk shows on television in the Detroit area, such as Spotlight (the history of which goes back to the 1960s) for WXYZ-TV, Flashpoint (the history of which goes back to the 1980s) for WDIV-TV, and Let It Rip (the new kid on the block) for WJBK-TV.  What I am going to cover here was not covered well by the talk-show programs, and that shows that the program have no real value in the long run.  On June 27, 2023, the American public learned through media entities (most of which did crappy work) that the U.S. Supreme Court had pushed out a ruling related to election laws of the country.  Here is an aside. The United States Constitution and the federal government of the United States of America were created by the states of the union (originally 13 states), and that made the states the creators and made the federal government the creation.  In The United States Constitution, it was set down that the legislature of each state was solely responsible for setting down the rules for national elections themes in the particular state, and that is, for example, the state legislature of Michigan sets down the rules for what applies to Michigan and only Michigan [Note: A federal government or federal-government entity should never be involved--especially solely--in setting the rules for national elections in the said country.].  No other entity, such as a federal court or a state court, is allowed--through what exists now in The United States Constitution--to set down rules or set the policies in regards to how elections are conducted, though a state banning a certain type of person from voting, such as a black, could be ruled on by a court because of The United States Constitution.  For the 2020 national election, some courts violated The United States Constitution by, for instance, making rules about how voting--the process--could be done.  That was wrong for courts to do, even if there was a problem with COVID-19 in the country.  Rules are rules!  The election of 2020 did not follow the ways of The United States Constitution!  In addition, the rulings by courts or even the no rulings by courts in some cases for the election of 2020 set a bad precedent.  Once The United States Constitution was pushed aside and nothing was done to reverse the wrong, other people would try to violate The United States Constitution in the future in relation to voting processes.  In essence, the ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court that people learned about on June 27, 2023, in relation to voting and elections cemented in place the idea that courts could overrule the laws pertaining to election processes that had been made by state legislatures.  By the way, a person must keep in mind the citizens vote for who should be in state legislatures, which gives citizens representation in government and a say in government, though there are times when citizens put a lot of bad people into jobs tied to state legislators, such as communists and socialists, who care not about the ways of The United States Constitution, and a person must keep in mind the U.S. Senate (made up of people voted into office by the citizens) puts people in the the jobs of the U.S. Supreme Court.  So an entity--the U.S. Supreme Court--manned by people put into office by the U.S. Senate and not put directly into office by the citizens of the country made a ruling that now allows courts to supersede state legislatures, because courts have been given the authority rule on cases that challenge the rules set in place by state legislatures, such a voting districts, and can determine what can and cannot be done by states.  The election process related to authority to set rules was defined in The U.S. Constitution clearly, and it was there so that some federal government entity--especially a federal court of some type, which might be beholden to a particular political party, such as a bad one--could not supersede a state legislature, which overall belongs to a state, which is an entity that created the federal government, and set down elections laws, which might end up favoring one particular party over another.  Incidentally, it is good to have election laws made only by a state legislature for a state, since there are 50 states, and that makes it harder for the entire country to end up with corrupted election laws, though a particular state could have rotten laws for a while (till the bad laws are dispelled with, if the rotten laws can be removed). Did your favorite newscaster or talk-show participant report that the ruling by U.S. Supreme Court--which ended up as a "six-to-one" thing that favored the courts' getting power over state legislatures, which now makes state legislatures mute--was and is a violation of The United States Constitution?  It seems very likely more and more people will start up court cases focused on election stuff in the future, and, yes, now, any court can screw around with the election process and set down rules!  That is bad!  If a state legislature makes bad laws related to elections and voting, such as about voting districts, it is up to the citizens of the state to complain and put other persons in office, such as those who would change the laws for the better, and it should not be up to a federal-government entity to set the rules (ultimately).  On June 27, 2023, and June 28, 2023, I came across a bunch of news stories that said that the court decision was good for democracy.  Look what the Detroit Free Press offered up in the start of an article called "High court rejects GOP on redistricting" [Sherman, Mark.  "High court rejects GOP on redistricting." Detroit Free Press, 28 June 2023, p. 5A.] about the ruling--"WASHINGTON -- The Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that state courts can act as a check on their legislatures in redistricting and other issues affecting federal elections, rejecting arguments by North Carolina Republicans that could have transformed contests for Congress and president.  The justices by a 6-3 vote upheld a decision by North Carolina's top court that struck down a congressional districting plan as excessively partisan under state law.  The high court did, though, suggest there could be limits on state court efforts to police elections for Congress and president.  Chief Justice John Roberts wrote for the court that 'state courts retain the authority to apply state constitutional restraints when legislatures act under the power conferred upon them by the elections Clause.  But federal courts must not abandon their own duty to exercise judicial review."  Hold it!  The courts have no "judicial review" power related to elections, as shown in The United States Constitution. [Note: Who says that a court has the ability to determine whether or not a redistricting is partisan or not?  Yes, courts have made rulings in the past about redistricting (and I think that is bad).  But things are getting out of hand, as the screwing up of the 2020 election by courts shows.]  Look at a later piece of material in the article--"...Former President Barack Obama applauded the outcome.  'This ruling is a resounding rejection of the far-right theory that has been peddled by election deniers and extremists seeking to undermine our democracy.  And it makes clear that courts can continue defending voters' rights -- in North Carolina and in every state,' Obama said in a statement.....".  Barack Obama's statement and John Roberts' statement were and are crap, and now the country is more communistic, since, in the end, the U.S. Supreme Court--a federal entity--can end up dictating election laws for the country through courts cases brought up through the court ranks by more and more people, especially bad people.  Welcome to another addition of Television History and Trivia, which exposes the bad and good that can be seen on television today!

A lot of news in newspapers and on radio and on television focused on the arraignment of former U.S. President Donald J. Trump of Tuesday, June 13, 2023, during the week of Monday, June 12, 2022, and a lot of the information was defective, but some was useful, and I have some thoughts to pass along here that were good pieces of information,, and, really, much of the information is tied to Mark R. Levin, since he is honorable and has a history of being involved in law for decades (though some of the thoughts had been in my head before the week of Monday, June 12, 2023), and I strongly urge a person to hear podcasts of The Mark Levin Show (a nationally syndicated radio show) for the week of June 12, 2023, to get more details.  During that week, Mark R. Levin reported that the entire arraignment event is rotten.  For one, Donald J. Trump is being charged with federal crimes, but that is defective.  The Presidential Records Act became effective in 1981, and that law has no criminal penalties tied to it, and, at best, it might have civic penalties, and in relation to that law, a U.S. president gets to choose what is personal material and what is not in relation to federally tied documents, and a U.S. president has five years in which to look over materials in his position before the National Archives can push the issue--especially hard--to have documents in possession of a former U.S. president transferred to the National Archives [Note: Donald J. Trump and the National Archives had been in negotiations about documents before the raid by, for example, the FBI on Mar-a-Lago took place, and the time limit on negotiations had years to go at the time of the raid.].  Mark R. Levin reported that, before the Presidential Records Act would be made active (in 1981), a U.S. president owned everything tied to his administration, and that is why so many presidential libraries are loaded with stuff, though some stuff can only be seen through special arrangements.  The Espionage Act does not apply to a U.S. president!  But people pushed the idea it did, in essence, on June 13, 2023, with the arraignment of Donald J. Trump; the U.S. president is the sole person who can classify and declassify federal documents of the Executive Branch, and it can be done at will, and there are no official procedures tied to the classification theme.  Since the Presidential Records Act has no criminal charges tied to it, no federal grand jury can be set up in relation to a former president's possibly having committed a violation in criminal form based on the Presidential Records Act, so any grand jury set up and run is bogus and defective.  There can be no obstruction in relation to documents being held by Donald J. Trump, since, for one, Donald J. Trump had five years in which to have the documents, and there can be no crime for destroying documents since Donald J. Trump had the authority to destroy documents.  Mark R. Levin stated that the federal government is stretching laws to areas that they do not apply and bending the meanings of laws.  Did your favorite newscaster present what has been presented in this paragraph?
[Note: Since Donald J. Trump had no documents tied to the Joseph Biden adminstration, Donald J. Trump had nothing tied to current issues of so-called national security.]

Here I have a follow-up to a paragraph that I presented in the previous edition of Television History and Trivia, since the theme must be made clear and must be repeated.  In the 1930s, Adolph Hitler killed people, such as high-ranking German officials, so that his National Socialist political party could take control of Germany, and that later allowed Adolph Hitler to start World War II.  Adolph Hitler was able to kill outright opposition, some of whom were socialists.  Later in history, Saddam Hussein killed opponents to take control of Iraq.  Proof was shown to me about both men over the years through documentaries on television.  By the way, I remember one documentary about Saddam Hussein that reported that Saddam Hussein--at a gathering of the governing body of Iraq--marched opponents out of the gathering place and killed them, and at the time, Saddam Hussein pushed out tears, as if sorry or something for those who had to be killed.  Documentaries exist about other killers of recent history, such as Mao of China and the line of freaks of North Korea and the fat and ugly Idi Amin of Uganda.  In the United States of America, people would have a hard time doing outright killing of political opponents, because too many American citizens have guns and would take up action against the killers--working to kill them.  The Democratic Party is made up of people like Idi Amin and Saddam Hussein and such, and they have the mind set to kill outright if possible, and they are enslavists.  In place of killing outright, the people of the Democratic Party do other things to wipe out people, which over time can be likened to killing.  For instance, on June 8 2023, the American public learned the U.S. Department of Justice was indicting Donald J. Trump on charges related to having so-called classified documents (only a few documents) at his home in Florida (up until somewhat recently), and on June 9, 2023, the public learned the U.S. Department of Justice had 37 charges against Donald J. Trump, and if Donald J. Trump were convicted of charges, Donald J. Trump could be in jail or prison till dead, since some charges were tied to 20 years of prison time and some were tied to 10 years and some were tied to five years, and if Donald J. Trump were convicted of charges, the time in jail or prison would be calculated through the addition of the times involved (no concurrent feature would apply).  That means Donald J. Trump could die in jail or prison.  On June 9, 2023, smart and honorable persons were aware that the indictment was corrupt, and it was corrupt since the same incident was divided up into 37 counts (instead of being set at one, which it should be), and it was corrupt since the incident was tied to the Presidential Records Act and not any theme of espionage (as was being cited by the federal government), and Donald J. Trump was a U.S. president and could declassify at will any documents while he was the U.S. president, and it was corrupt since no documents were passed along to enemies of the country, and it was corrupt since the Federal Archives had been aware of the documents (which were locked up) and since the Federal Archives and Donald J. Trump had been working to transfer the documents to the Federal Archives at some point in time, and it was corrupt since Joseph Biden and a few others had recently been shown to have some federal documents in their possession--and they had never been a U.S. president who could declassify documents--and none of the persons were being charged with having documents that they should not have, and, in addition, the indictment event was corrupt since Hillary Clinton had done things (not as a U.S. president) that she should have been prosecuted for (such as the destruction of government-tied emails).  The country has clearly reached the point were federal-government officials are putting what it wants to call political opponents and "enemies of the state" in jail and prison, such as those tied to the breaching of the U.S. Capitol event of January 6, 2021, and federal-government officials, such as Joseph Biden, are working to kill political opponents, and the federal-governmnt officials are working to kill opponents so that they can enact rules and laws that can hurt people and keep that federal-government officials in office and power, as happens in dictatorships (with, in essence, rulers for life).  Meanwhile, it must be kept in mind that Joseph Biden with his associates (such as in the Executive Branch of the federal government, such as in the Cabinet of the United States of America) has violated U.S. immigration laws by keeping the border of the country, in essence, open for foreigners and illegal aliens to cross at will, and Joseph Biden has been working to kill the energy section of the country (by shutting down power plants) and kill the mobility structure of the country (by shutting down the types of vehicles that can be used in the country and by pushing electric cars on the country), and Joseph Biden and his associates have done much more that shows that they are communists and socialists and progressives and liberals like Adolph Hitler and Idi Amin and like people.  Also, it must be remembered that an indictment related to the documents follows up on other corrupt practices by Democrats to wipe out Donald J. Trump--put him in jail or prison at least.  At the website for The Hologlobe Press, I show only a little bit of the rottenness of all the Democrats, especially those in political offices, and some of the documents that can be seen with the proof are The Arraignment of Donald J. Trump--Another Television Propaganda Event from the Enslavists (the Democrats), The Defective National Television Spectacular of June 2022 from the Select Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the United States Capitol, The Enslavists Attack Hard the United States of America and The United States Constitution, and They Push More Enslavism on the Country by Indicting Donald J. Trump on March 30, 2023A Review of What Television Controlled by Socialists and Communists Worked to Sell as Truth in Relation to the U.S. President Donald J. Trump Impeachment, The Final Report from the Select Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the United States Capitol (Another Defective Television Spectacular), and Look at the Destruction Done by U.S. President Joseph Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, starting on January 2021, and these documents can be reached through the Site-Summary Page for The Hologlobe Press (the link to which is this Summary link).  In the Detroit area, people can come across old documentaries with war themes or real footage, such as about World War II, by seeing television networks (a few) or presentations on YouTube.
Donald J. Trump did not violate The United States Constitution, or the Democrats would have brought that up over the last seven years or so, but Joseph Biden has violated The United States Constitution, but nothing is being done on that, especially by Democrats.  Donald J. Trump followed the U.S. immigration rules, or the Democrats would have presented that to the American public, especially every day through the main media, and Joseph Biden has not.  Donald J. Trump has not been tied to having worked with foreign enemy governments against the United States of America, or the Democrats would have had proof, but the Democrats did run the fake Trump-Russian collusion event for several years, and Joseph Biden has been tied to working with foreign governments in corrupt ways, working against the people of the United States of America, but nothing has been done about that garbage from Joseph Biden [Note: The "Durham" report shows the Democrats lied about the Trump-Russian collusion event, which involved the FBI, and shows it was fake and made up and had come from Hillary Clinton.].

I did some looking in my television files for war documentaries.  On May 5,1949, ABC-TV began broadcasting a television series called Crusade in Europe, which was based on writings (a book) done by U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower, and the main topic was World War II of the 1940s.  On August 28, 1951, WXYZ-TV (ABC-TV) in Detroit began to run a series called Crusade in the Pacific, which was narrated by Westbrook Van Voorhis, and it was a weekly series.  In October 1952, NBC-TV began to run a series called Victory at Sea, which was narrated by Leonard Graves.  By the way, so far, I have talked about shows put on by ABC-TV and NBC-TV way before the two networks became communistic and socialistic, as they are now.  On October 10, 1975, under the Wide World Special umbrella title, ABC-TV aired Adolph Hitler: A Portrait in Evil, and the program aired at 11:30 p.m. and was hosted by Peter Lawford.  NBC-TV began to run a series called The World at War on April 27, 1976, and it was narrated by Laurence Olivier.  In the fall of 1978, some television stations in the country began to run a syndicated series called World War II G.I. Diary, which was narrated by Lloyd Bridges, and each episode ran 30 minutes.  On May 4, 1989, WGTE-TV (an affiliate of PBS) aired a program called Hitler's Final Solution: The Wannesee Conference, and it was about killing jews in Germany and Europe during the time of Adolph Hitler as the leader of Germany.  The American Experience show for May 25, 1994, on PBS was D-Day, and it was narrated by David McCullough.  The PBS affiliate in Detroit--WTVS-TV, Channel 56--aired D-Day: The Official Story (which was introduced by Queen Elizabeth II) on June 6, 1994, at 11:00 p.m..  In July 1995, PBS began to run a six-part series called Battlefield, which was narrated by Dave Piggot Smith.  In July 1996, PBS began to run another group of six shows under the title Battlefield.  The American Experience series had an episode called "Victory in the Pacific" on PBS-related stations on May 2, 2005, and it was a two-hour program.  [Note: Today, PBS is a hard-line socialistic and communistic entity.]  And those are only some of the programs that show off the nature of socialists and communists and progressives and liberals, and it is not a good nature!

On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, Donald J. Trump was arraigned on "37" federal counts related to documents that he had had a Mar-a-Lago for a while, and the arraignment took place in Miami, Florida, and on that day and over the days after, a lot of so-called journalists and news people and commentators passed along crap about the arraignment event and theme.  For example, Whoopi Goldberg while on The View (of ABC-TV) on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, pushed out more of her crappy ideas about Donald J. Trump's having committed crimes, though, in truth, there have been no crimes tied to Donald J. Trump, and an edition of The Morning Rush of the Scripps News Channel pushed out crap about the arraignment event on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, showing the Scripps entity is a Democratic Party (socialistic and communistic political party) supporter, and one of the biggest pieces of crap came from a man named Greg Bowens--called a "Democratic strategist--on the edition of Let It Rip for WJBK-TV, Channel 2.1, of the Detroit area of Michigan on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at about 10:30 p.m..  On the opening segment of Let It Rip--a round-table show that covers politics--the host was Roop Raj (of Channel 2.1), and the guests were Matthew Schneider (a former U.S. attorney), Aaron Tobin (the only one clearly not shilling for the Democratic Party), and Greg Bowens.  The segment did not run more than 15 minutes (if that), which is no real time to cover the main topic of discussion well--Donald J. Trump and the arraignment.  Look at the crap that Greg Bowens (a black guy) tried to sell as useful--Greg Bowens implied that Donald J. Trump was guilty in relation to having the documents since Donald J. Trump was known [supposedly] for not reading memos.  Yes, Greg Bowens pushed out the idea that, since Donald J. Trump did not read memos, there was no reason for him to take any presidential-related documents with him and have such documents.  Greg Bowens pushed out the idea that that was a sign of guilt.  That was Greg Bowens' only real statement of the day, though he pushed out the idea that Donald J. Trump was a "transactional person" because he was known for easily firing people.  The main theme from Greg Bowens has no bearing on the issue of the arraignment or whatever.  It matters not whether or not Donald J. Trump was a regular reader of memos, since a U.S. president gets to take whatever the U.S. president wants to take (for a while) and even destroy when the presidency is over.  It is known that a U.S. president can be deluged with information from his staffers and others, especially over at least four years, and it is known that Donald J. Trump was regularly at presidential briefings, and that means there is no reason to read every single memo or much of many memos--the memos are data to be stored and maybe been seen later or maybe to be used as backup information or history information.  Greg Bowens pushed out the idea that Donald J. Trump had hundreds of boxes of stuff.  So what?  It is very likely that staffers tied to Donald J. Trump actually were the main people involved in moving the documents to Mar-a-Lago.  [Can you see Donald J. Trump lifting up box upon box and carrying them to a vehicle or whatever?]  Really, Greg Bowens came off as a jackass and another piece of crap from the Democratic Party!  I do have to note that Matthew Schneider pushed out a lot of useless talk, too, though he was not as bad as Greg Bowens was, who is a type of person who should be seen as a useless source of any information, since he passes along crap.  Greg Bowens had nothing to say that should be listened to, and Greg Bowens is like a crap memo that should be thrown in the trash.

Oh, I have to put in an aside here, though it is concerned with radio (mostly).  In Television History and Trivia #228, I talked about WPBN-TV and Miya Ingle in relation to a news story about climate change and baseball, and I noted how people were and are trying to sell as truth that there are more home runs in professional baseball today because of climate change.  On Saturday, June 17, 2023, I just happened to catch the last ten minutes or so of a radio show on WJR-AM (Detroit, Michigan) that runs usually from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays, and the topic was that baseball thing.  The main host of the show--Jeff Sloan--talked with Darren Incorvaia of Science News, and the host and the Darren Incorvaia were both happy that they were selling as useful the climate change-baseball thing [Note: Co-hosts for the weekly radio show are Mark Pastoria and Kristin Kujawa).  Darren Incorvaia worked to sell that idea that the study on the subject involved "fundamental physics" and involved research of "incredibly fine detail."  Bullshit!  I listened, and nothing was said that baseballs are going much, much farther in distance because of climate change, and nothing was said that the distances involved are only somewhere between 450 feet and maybe 600 feet (at maximum it seems) on a long ball hit--the air would really have to be super more dense or super less dense to achieve any noticeable affect on baseballs going through the air.  The air has not become so different in density from what it was in the 1960s or 1970s or 1980s or whatever!  The whole idea of the baseball thing is nonsense.  The name of the radio program was and is Let's Go Michigan, and it is a crappy show, pushing nonsense.

When a person is at home--alone or mostly alone--the person can say things that the person truly believes, and the person may say it to family members or friends, and what is said can be quite rough, and the person may say it often, sometimes (at least) in anger, and in times of pressure, the person may let slip in public what has been said in private at home.  The Virgin Islands is represented in the U.S. House of Representatives by a "delegate" (a person who has no voting rights), and in this day and age, that person is a black woman called Stacey Plaskett.  On Sunday, June 18, 2023, Stacey Plaskett appeared on MSNBC, and it is possible Stacey Plaskett was a bit nervous at the time, but I say that, whether she was nervous or not, she was a bit under pressure by being in front of the public on television.  During an interview by Jonathan Capehart, Stacey Plaskett--a follower of the ways of the Democratic Party--said--"...Having Trump not only have had the codes but now having the classified information for Americans and being able to put that out and share it in his resort with anyone and everyone who comes through should be terrifying to all Americans.  And he needs to be shot--stopped!....".  Forget that Stacey Plaskett spoke lies--such as about Donald J. Trump's sharing classified information with others, which is a lie--and think about Stacey Plaskett's pushing forth the idea that Donald J. Trump should be "shot"--which must have been in her mind in the past (maybe many times), such as at home.  It is more proof of what the communist or socialist or progressive or liberal is!

On Saturday, June 23, 2023, I happened to be in the Detroit area, and I happened to watch television on that day, but mostly I was working in the basement--at a work bench that I had made about ten years ago--of the residence in which I live when I am in the Detroit area.  At about 9:20 a.m., I was eating breakfast, and I happened to tune into the newscast on WXYZ-TV, Channel 7.1., and I discovered the newscast--hosted by Jenn Schanz--was covering a press conference at the Detroit residence for the NAACP, the communistic group of blacks (mostly), and the press conference was about the "June Jubilee" that was soon to take place that day.  I was exposed to Rev. Wendell Anthony and Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist and others, and, by the way, Garlin Gilchrist came off as a highly unlikeable and highly angry black, which is not surprising to me, given he is a rotten black (as I have shown in the past).  I learned from the newscast event that WXYZ-TV was going to cover the June Jubilee event starting at 10:00 a.m., which I had not known about before, having no longer been able to see the television-listings publication related to the Royal Oak Tribune (a rotten newspaper, as I noted in Television History and Trivia #228, which can be reached through this T.H.A.T. #228 link).  I then made plans to see the television special event and make a card or cards about the television special for my television files about Detroit television.
At 10:00 a.m., I began to watch June Jubilee: A Celebration of Freedom on WXYZ-TV, and at the start, I was working on making rotor-blade units--a bunch tiny things--for my display related to The Mackinaw WAGB-83 (a former icebreaker on the Great Lakes), which I had started on as a project in the summer of 2014 [Note: I started in 2014, but I have not work continuously on the project, not being in the Detroit area all the time, such as because of the COVID-19 mess, and I also stopped working on the project for three years so that I could make a model of 40 Mile Point Lighthouse, an image of which I present in Michigan Travel Tips #198, which can be reached through this Travel #198 link.].  Incidentally, my project about the former icebreaker is already made up of hundreds and hundreds of tiny pieces that I have had to make--from wood, stainless-steel screws, brass rod and sheet, Bondo, Plexiglas, angle iron, et cetera.
At 10:00 a.m., the program on WXYZ-TV began, and the program--as I have noted--was called June Jubilee: A Celebration of Freedom (a title that is deceptive and bad, as I shall show in this document), and viewers learned the hosts were Carolyn Clifford (a black gal) and Glenda Lewis (a black gal), and viewers were introduced to the reporters for the event--Whitney Burney (a black gal), Mike Duffy (a white guy), and Faraz Javed (an arab-type guy and a citizen of the United Arab Emirates).  The program was mostly about the "march" or "walk" that was celebrating the Martin Luther King Jr. "march" or "walk" of June 23, 1963, in Detroit, and the Martin Luther King Jr. speech for the 1963 day (one of the "I've got a dream" speeches of the early 1960s).  In essence, the program was made up of two parts.  The part from 10:00 a.m. to about 12:40 p.m. covered the "walk" or parade, and the part from about 12:40 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. covered a rally at Hart Plaza, which was like a political rally for the Democratic Party (the communistic and socialistic political party).  In the end, I found the program to be a bastardization of the ways of Martin Luther King Jr., which did not surprise me, since the black communists and black socialists in the country have distorted the ways of Martin Luther King Jr. over the years, especially in the last twenty years at least.
I now present a look at what the program presented.  In the first thirty minutes or so, there was talk, such as talk about the upcoming parade and the "walk" of 1963, and there was a lot of fluff and filler and repetitive stuff, and then at about 10:30 p.m., the march began in earnest.  For the first part of the program, viewers saw a clip of Erik Smith (a former newscaster for the television station) and a clip of Rev. Wendell Anthony.  Some of the people who were interviewed live in the first part were Chris Swanson (who was the county sheriff for Genesee County), Excell Moore (a black gal who had beeen at the "march" in Detroit in 1963), Gloria Mills (who had been at the 1963 event), Lieutenant Governor of Michigan Garlin Gilchrist, Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, Chris Ilitch (of the rich-and-famous Ilitch family of the Detroit area), and Jamon Jordan (who is the City of Detroit Historian).  The second part of the program was a coverage of the rally, and there was no sign of the staffers for WXYZ-TV for this part, since the station was simply covering the people who were presented on stage at Hart Plaza and were set up to give speeches.  Some of those who took part in the speech portion of the program (at Hart Plaza) were Dr. Tellis Chapman (of Galilee Baptist Church), U.S. Senator (for Michigan) Debbie Stabenow, Secretary of State for Michigan Jocelyn Benson, Garlin Gilchrist (the lieutenant governor of Michigan), Mary Sheffield (the head of the Detroit City Council), Karen Boykin-Towns (a management person for the national NAACP), Derrick Johnson (the president of the national NAACP), and Aisha Bell (the chairperson for the Wayne County Commission).  It was mostly a gathering of black socialists and communists, of course, but there were a few whites.  Also, the UAW (a union) was represented by some guy, and the SEIU (or the "Service Employees International Union, which is a communistic entity) was represented by some guy.
Hey, I report that the walk for the 2023 day went down Woodward Avenue from Martin Luther King Boulevard to Hart Plaza.
And I now look at more specifically what the program presented, and the program pushed forth lies and deception from the speakers, especially during the second part of the program, and the program pushed out a lot of crap thought.  People pushed out the crap about "economic justice" and "racial justice," and that made me think of the people were big on nonsense, and I thought about how Detroit is getting involved in the "reparations" bullshit, having worked out so that, it seems, whites will have to give money to blacks in the future for the days of slavery tied to blacks, and it is part of the shit that is Detroit.  At about noon, Carolyn Clifford talked about how the country elected Barack Obama (a black guy) for two terms as the U.S. president and about how the country now has a black vice president of the country (Kamala Harris), and Carolyn Clifford worked to sell that that is great, and Carolyn Clifford noted how--"...We have come a long way.".  Of course, for instance, Carolyn Clifford did not report that, in essence, during the time of Barack Obama as the U.S. president, Barack Obama and the other Democrats started the regular treks by foreigners of South America from South America to the border of Mexico and the United States of America by the hundreds of thousands, and Carolyn Clifford did not report that Joseph Biden has allowed millions of persons to enter the country illegally while violating U.S. immigration laws (an impeachable offense)--and that has hurt blacks who are Americans (legally).  Glenda Lewis reported how the march for the day was "A call to action for better days."  That was silliness from Glenda Lewis (as I show later in this document, the overall topic of which is the falling apart of black culture) or the rottenness of black culture, especially that of the inner cities), and, actually, Glenda Lewis' statement was a vague bunch of words, having no real meaning [Note: What would be "better days" and what does Glenda Lewis stand for?].  Mike Duffy pushed out that cliché line that was made famous by Hillary Clinton, and it was about how it "takes a village" [to raise kids], and that is nonsense, and the theme is a communistic theme (which is sort of tied to the idea that government owns children and parents do not own their children).  Although the parade portion of the event came off as flat on television, Carolyn Clifford did say at one point--"It's been amazing so far.".  Several times, in the background, viewers had to listen to "freedom" and "now" chanting stuff.  A guy with a megaphone would say--"What do we want?".  The crowd would then--"Freedom!".  The guy then would say--"When do we want it?".  The crowd would say--"Now!."  And it was repeated and repeated and repeated.  It was crappy.  It was like a communistic rally that you might see in a movie.  At one point, Faraz Javed brought up nonsense about stepping on other persons' feet, and for the broadcast, Faraz Javed came off as a highly stupid and shallow guy, who kept repeating useless stuff and obvious stuff, such as about the walk going on.  Faraz Javed said something like this during the program--referring to the march of the day--This is what democracy looks like, this is what democracy feels like.  That was idiocy!  Often times, Faraz Javed sounded like he was rambling and stalling.  Twice during the program, I heard--while concentrating on my making of the rotor-blade units--"Mitt Romney" (the son of former Michigan Governor George Romney) mentioned.  I report that Mitt Romney (a U.S. Senator) is a hard-line socialist, though he is a member of the Republican Party.  And I report that Mitt Romney is a "white" piece of shit, yet people tied to the march felt it fine to praise him.  U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow pushed out crap in her speech.  For example, she put down Donald J. Trump, and she pushed out the idea that, with Joe Biden as the U.S. president, the country is on the "road to justice."  Debbie Stabenow pushed out the idea that there is a "way to go till everyone has equality under the law."  Smart and honorable people are aware of how corrupt the U.S. Department of Justice is under the rule of Joseph Biden [Note: I have documents at the website for The Hologlobe Press that show that.], and I have documents that show all the rottenness that has been pushed on U.S. President Donald J. Trump, and it shows high corruption in, for example, the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  And Debbie Stabenow said--"...It's good to be here with freedom loving people.".  But a person has to remember Debbie Stabenow is a member of the Democratic Party, and that political party supports as good communism and socialism and like enslavism forms of government, which are based on corruption and violence and lies, as the histories of China and Russia and Cuba show, and communism and socialism and the like are not about "freedom."  So Debbie Stabenow taught shit!  A number of people got on the subject during the rally of voter rights, and some of the people were Jocelyn Benson and Derrick Johnson.  The people pushed out lies that blacks are being disenfranchised in relation to voting [such as probably by being required to have voter ID units with photographs, an identification system that I say is good], and they implied people are trying to take away voting by blacks, which is a lie.  And, really, the idea that blacks are having their votes taken away is bullshit!  Jocelyn Benson pushed out the idea that people are being suppressed and are being intimidated, so she wants to ban voter suppression and ban voter intimidation, but, for example, voter intimidation is already not allowed [Note: History shows, such as during the time of Barack Obama's time of running for the office of the U.S. president, how black Democrats were involved in voter intimidation in the country to help Barack Obama.].  And Jocelyn Benson and others pushed the idea that people should urge for the passing of a new voting-rights act for Michigan.  Of course, when I heard people pushing for a new voting-rights act for Michigan and I knew the people promoting the idea were communists and socialists and the like, I knew any forthcoming law would be rotten, because such persons would not enact anything good [Note: And in the future, I will probably write about a new act being made, which will show up the rottenness of the new law.].  Jamon Jordan was offered up as a historian for the City of Detroit, and I do not trust him as a historian.  I have shown in documents that I have on the Internet how commonplace it is or Democratic Party-supporting people who are historians to usually do crap work in relation to history; for example, I have knocked down the work of Mike Fornes (who wrote a book about The Mackinaw WAGB-83, which was filled with wrong information, and who wanted to fight me in an area behind a bookstore in Cheboygan, Michigan, some years ago, for my having shown his book was crap), and I have shown how work by so-called television historians of the Detroit area--Tim Kiska and Ed Golick--is often crap).  Jamon Jordan does not help young blacks in, for instance, Detroit, because his use of English--an international language--can be defective.  For one, Jamon Jordan said at one point during the program--"...those that was....".  It should have been--"...those that were....".  He may have said other nonsense that does not set a good example for children, but I did not pay heavy attention to much that he talked about, and if I had paid attention, I might have seen he often pushes out black-English crap, which I first got exposed to in the early 1970s at Wayne State University, where the black gal (of the university staff)--who often wore African garments--was pushing for black English.  Anyway, my documenting history is about 51-years long now, and to me, Jamon Jordan (a rather young man) has not proved himself to be a good historian, especially in relation to a big city like Detroit.  The biggest ugliness in the program took place in the second part with a speech by Dr. Tellis Chapman (of Galilee Baptist Church).  During Dr. Tellis Chapman's time at the microphone, he only seemed to look down at his cheat sheet of material, and that made the microphone cover up most of his head all the time--the top of his head.  The viewer almost never saw his face.  Dr. Tellis Chapman presented a rant, running through a bunch of grievances in a tough and unpleasant voice.  Dr. Tellis Chapman was angry about the high price of insurance premiums and about redlining and about people's getting rid of history of blacks and about unfair tax brackets, and more.  It was lies and shit from Dr. Tellis Chapman.  Dr. Tellis Chapman's speech is the only speech for the event that I really wanted to turn off.  It was ugliness of a high degree, and it seemed to me it was the type of shit that he must deliver on a regular basis, especially on Sunday mornings.  Oh, Dr. Tellis Chapman pushed out at one point (something like)--Pigment politics is overshadowing our nation..  That is a bullshit statement!
When I think about Martin Luther King Jr., I have thoughts.  Would Martin Luther King Jr. be happy to see, for example, a black-run city--Detroit--go into bankruptcy because of blacks (the managers of the city)?  Would Martin Luther King Jr. be happy with, in essence, no border enforcement at the border between the United States of America and Mexico and was Martin Luther King Jr. a person who supported no borders for a country or open borders for a country?  Would Martin Luther King Jr. be happy with the high black-on-black crime in the country, especially in the inner cities?  Would Martin Luther King Jr. be happy with the high number of single-mother homes in the black communities?  Would Martin Luther King Jr. be happy with the high illiteracy rate for blacks and the high functionally illiterate rate for blacks, which has nothing to do with "whites" or was not caused by "whites"?
The questions of the previous paragraph (and I could have put in more) show the ways of, for example, the Democratic Party--blacks and whites and more--have not led to "freedom," and the ways have led to slavery and enslavism--the people, especially most black people--are slaves to ignorance and poverty and death.
In total, June Jubilee: A Celebration of Freedom was a hollow event (not "hallow" event), and "freedom" was not being pushed or celebrated, and, really, fake "freedom" was being pushed.
[Note: There was a big disappointment about the program that went beyond the program proper.  Glenda ("Ms. Erotic News Gal") Lewis was put in a T-shirt for the presentation, as was Carolyn Clifford, and Glenda Lewis was only seen from about the waist up.  The weather was good.  It would have been fun to see Glenda Lewis is a soft sun dress with a very high hem line and a very low neck line.  Then, I might have watched the television screen more intensely.  Of course, that would have delayed my making of the rotor-blade units.  Yes, Glenda Lewis did not get to show off any of her pretty brown upper boob skin.]
[Note: On the morning of Sunday, June 25, 2023, I got exposed to the front page of the Detroit Free Press (officially the Sunday Free Press), and there was a story about the march, and the story was called "KING'S DREAM GOES ON AS FIGHT ENDURES" [Rahman, Nushrat, and Scott Talley.  "KING'S DREAM GOES ON AS FIGHT ENDURES." Sunday Free Press, 25 June 2023, pp. 1A and 13A].  Upon seeing the headline for the story, I immediately thought--Was Martin Luther King's dream a dream for communism and socialism and all the other crap from the Democrats, such as high black-on-black crime and killing?.  The story was a fluff piece that said nothing about what really was presented, such as a the rally; the story was mostly a collection of shallow comments from people at the event.  By the way, on page 14A of the newspaper edition, there were photographs of the march, and one photograph showed a young black man--Don Martin--holding up a fist, which reminded me of the crap from the Black Panthers (a rotten group of blacks from past history, who promoted violence, which is the way of communism, and often dressed like soldier types).]
[Note: Oh, on Sunday, June 25, 2023, I happened to catch Jenn Schanz's good-bye statement on WXYZ-TV, and it reminded me of the rather long email that I had received somewhat recently from Steve Lawrence Jr. (a former employee at WXYZ-TV) that talks about the behind-the-scenes things of the news department at WXYZ-TV, such as about how the management deals with young reporters or new reporters, and it is an email that I would like to put in an edition of Television History and Trivia, but I have yet to get permission to publish it.]
[Special note: On Sunday, June 25, 2023, I sent a draft of this section of this document to Mr. Chuck Stokes of WXYZ-TV, and I reported that he should pass it on to at least Mr. Mike Murri, Ms. Carolyn Clifford, Ms. Glenda (Ms. Erotic News Gal) Lewis, Mr. Faraz Javed, Mr. Mike Duffy, and Ms. Whitney Burney, and I have yet to receive a response, and that shows the nature of at least Mr. Chuck Stokes, and it is not good.]

And the garbage and crap just keeps on coming on television in this day and age!  I now jump over to WJBK-TV, Channel 2.1.  But first I have a bit of an aside.  It is clear the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice are rotten, and it is well known at the Environmental Protection Agency (or the EPA) is rotten, and the EPA is involved with pushing the man-made climate change crap, which is being pushed by socialists and communists in and out of the federal government of the country.  The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is rotten, too, especially an entity of that department that is called the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force.  That so-called "task force" issued a thought recently, and it wants people from 16 years of age to 64 years of age to be screened for anxiety disorders.  That "wish" I became aware of by catching the start of an interview on The Nine (a weekday morning program on WJBK-TV), which was at about 9:29 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.  The interviewer was Deena Centofanti, whom I have found in the past to be a rather stupid woman.  Deena Centofanti seemed happy about the screening idea.  I report that the idea is highly rotten.  Given much of the federal government is now corrupt--that includes the CDC unit of the federal government, which did a hellish job in relation to COVID-19 over the last few years--the idea of having everyone between 16 years of age and 64 years of age screened for possible mental issues will turn out to be highly corrupt.  In communistic and socialistic countries, the leaders or rulers like such evaluations to be imposed on citizens so that the data might be used to put opponents in unnecessary therapy and put on unnecessary drugs and even to put people re-training camps or prison.  If the United States of America had all citizens between 16 years of age and 64 years of age evaluated, the federal government would know who must be coerced into submission or who must be punished in some way or hurt in some way.  In addition, the expense to make the surveys and such--to be paid by the taxpayer--would be a waste of billions of dollars, and it would be a waste of time for people, who would have to use a part of their lifetimes to go and get evaluated.  Who would be setting up the standards about who should be tended to?  It, of course, would be the federal government ultimately!  Yes, the federal government could falsely claim so-so needs to be given treatment, that which would come from people tied to communism and socialism and like rottenness!  For the interview, Deena Centofanti talked with Ronnie Hormel, who is associated with the Birmingham Maple Clinic.  Ronnie Hormel did not come off as a man; he came off as a person with the mind of a boy and even as a gay man (a mush head).  Ronnie Hormel did not come off as a person who had done anything hard in life, such as repair a car or water pipe in a house or electrical wiring in a house, and he did not look like he could make anything, such as a model of 40 Mile Point Lighthouse or models of The Mackinaw WAGB-83.  I bet he has never put in a house furnace with central air, as I have, and he has not repaired roofing, as I have, and he has not rewired a radio-station studio, as I have, and he has not written a book, as I have, and he has not been involved in putting in concrete, as I have, and he has not cut down big trees, as I have....  I think Ronnie Hormel--nothing more than a guy with book junk in his head from school, probably a liberal-type school--would help create mush boys and not men, who could not get through hard times by themselves.  In essence, the whole idea of the interview made me think it is one more way in which too make weak men and women in the country, who will be unable to fight through hard times and have the stamina to get through hard times and who will have to run to someone for comfort all the time, such as a mother or mother-type [Note: To let you know, my mother died in 1961 when I was in second grade, and she was killed by blastomycosis, that fungus thing that was trouble in Escanaba, Michigan, in March 2023.].  Ronnie Hormel and Deena Centofanti promoted a rotten idea as good, and they were happy!  And in the end or at the end of the interview, which only lasted a few minutes, Deena Centofanti said--"...Good information.".  I say that it was crap all the way around!  [Given what I was able to deduce about Ronnie Hormel, I would not promote as good--the Birmingham Maple Clinic.]

Announcement for the novice again (reworked in March 2019): To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, try Breitbart News Network (the history of which goes back to 2007), WorldNetDaily.com, Newsmax TV (which was started up in 2014), CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), and One America News Network (a.k.a. OAN), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama-type people (communists, socialists, progressives, liberals, and Shariaists), as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (Note: To learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the better places mentioned).  I note that the Fox News Channel is evolving into a rotten channel, becoming like those that I have put down in this paragraph.  If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and even now much of what is on the Fox News Channel and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you.  In 2019, "The Drudge Report" was sold, and it should be treated as suspect for now.   [Note: Everyone in the Democratic Party in the country is rotten, and the Republican Party establishment has shown itself to be socialistic and communistic within the last few years, and only a few of the rotten people tied to the Republican Party are U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, and Chris Christie.]
[Note: Here is an example of Chris Christie's rottenness.  On Sunday, February 6, 2022, Chris Christie was a guest on This Week with George Stephanopoulos (of ABC-TV), which had Martha Raddatz as the host, and Christ Christie pushed out crap.  For example, Chris Christie said--"...And let's face it.  Let's call it what it is.  January 6 was a riot that was incited by Donald Trump...an effort to intimidate Mike Pence and the Congress into doing exactly what he said in his own words last week--overturn the election.  And he's trying to do a cleanup on aisle one here...." and "...He actually told the truth by accident.  He wanted the election to be overturned....".  That is bullshit!]

On YouTube, a person can find videos of old television shows, such as those of the 1940s and 1950s, and, by the way, sometimes the information presented with them is defective, as I showed in the previous edition of Television History and Trivia in relation to the television series called Dilemma.  This edition of Television History and Trivia looks as another old television series, and it dispels a little bit of information that is presented on YouTube in relation to three videos tied to the series.  The series is called The Adventures of Gigi and Jock, and "Gigi" is pronounced "GeeGee" (with a hard "g" sound).  Gigi and Jock are two boys, and they go on adventures.  I can report that, officially, the boys can be called "French" boys, since the series was originally made in France.  If you look at the series, which was originally made on film, you can see the characters are sort of dressed like the people of France, especially one police officer who is called Officer Flaherty.  What happened is the series was brought to the United States of America, and, for one, new sound was added to the production, especially voice work (in English).  It seems very likely to me that series was made in France and given dubbed material for other places in the 1950s.  In the 1950s, the series began to be offered in syndication by a company called TeeVee Film Company (which was headed by Gifford Phillips).  TeeVee Film Company handled the film for a very short while, and then United World had the distribution rights (such as in about 1952), and then TeeVee Film Company got the rights again in about May 1954, and then Sterling Television Company acquired the rights from TeeVee Film Company in early 1955, and that is as far as I will take the story about the distribution of the series.  When the series was offered in the 1950s, it was sold as a series for, for example, at least a 15-minute block of time, and the series had 13 episodes (of 15 minutes).  The series got picked up by stations at such places as Chicago (Illinois) and Los Angeles (California), and, for example, KTSL-TV (of the Los Angeles area) began to run the series on a weekly basis on Saturday, September 16, 1950, and I report that the series was never bought for broadcast by any television station in Detroit.  Hold it!  Some people of sort of the Detroit area got to see The Adventures of Gigi and Jock.  I know that, in the 1960s and 1970s, it was possible for me to pick up (without an outside roof-top antenna) television signals of television stations of Toledo, Ohio, so it is possible that people in the southern suburbs of Detroit could have seen The Adventures of Gigi and Jock, since on November 5, 1950, WSPD-TV of Toledo, Ohio, began to run the series on Sundays on a weekly basis, airing the series from 5:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m..  In The Adventures of Gigi and Jock, Jock is sort of the leader of the two heroes--two boys--and Gigi is the sidekick, and, if you see the series, Jock is the taller of the two.  Today, three stories (or the most of three stories) can be found in clips on the Internet, and the three stories are "Journey into the Past", "The Hunted House", and "The Enchanted Garden".  My research found that another one of the 13 episodes was called "The Treasure Cave", and I found that one episode was about a missing magic wand, which was stolen.  Little credit information now exists in my files about the series.  For the English-based version of the series, Coleen Collins provided the voice for Gigi, and Marian Richman did the voice of Jock, and Daws Butler (who was and went on to be one of the most-famous voice actors, such as for cartoons, in the United States of America, did a lot of voices on the series), and it is known that William Asher was the writer and producer of at least two of the episodes that can be found on YouTube today.  William Asher is the man whose names appears on such often-watched shows today as Our Miss Brooks (of the 1950s) and Bewitched (of he 1960s).  If you go to the webpage from Wikipedia tied to William Asher, you will see that The Adventures of Gigi and Jock is not listed.  The best that I can find so far is that The Adventures of Gigi and Jock was produced in France (the original version) by G.P. Ditisheim.  I reported that the series started out in 15-minute form at least, since that is what I found in television listings.  However, I found information in magazine articles that noted that the series was available for 30-minute blocks of time, actually running about 25 minutes with commercials.  It looks as if, over time, the show was offered in 15-minute versions and (later) 30-minute versions.  I have to add that the credits that are available on the videos today have "Coleen Collins".  I can find no information about "Coleen Collins", but there was a radio actress of, for example, the 1940s known as "Colleen Collins", at least from what I can determine from Internet stuff, but I know not if "Colleen Collins" is "Coleen Collins" or if the "Colleen Collins" stuff is right, et cetera.  The series was aimed at kindergarten-type children, and it is a watchable product today.  Yes, The Adventures of Gigi and Jock is child-friendly television for today.  And that is where the story about The Adventures of Gigi and Jock must stop today.

Announcement: Recently, I have added some new documents to the collection of my documents at the website for The Hologlobe Press.  One of the documents is entitled A Document that Dispels Myths and Nonsense of Science-Fiction Books, Movies, and Television Shows (A Logic Puzzle), which can be reached through this Myths link.  Another document is And So You Think You're Going to the Moon, Mars, or the Stars..., which can be reached by using this Moon link.  And yet another of the documents is entitled And the Stupid Women Shall Lead--and Lead Every Good Individual into Shit, Driven on by Communism, Feminism, and Defective Female Beliefs and Little-Girl Thinking, which can be reached through this Stupid Women link.  And here are other documents--A Review of What Television Controlled by Socialists and Communists Worked to Sell as Truth in Relation to the U.S. President Donald J. Trump Impeachment (at Impeachment) and T.H.A.T. Special Edition--The First Helicopter-based Traffic Reporters on Radio for the Detroit area of Michigan (at Helicopter Traffic).

On Monday, June 19, 2023, I was finally in the Detroit area and was finally able to see an episode of The Rising (from the UK) and an episode Barons (from Australia), then two fairly new weekly series on The CW television network.  I saw them as more depressing television, especially more depressing television for what can be called young people, and I can say that they were more depressing programs from other countries or places in the world.  Both shows quickly came off as ugly television to me as I watched.  Skip both, or, really, skip The Rising, given the last episode of Barons was shown on June 19, 2023 (having been kicked off the air before the scheduled eight-episode run could be finished).

Hey, let me once again bring up the name of Whoopi Goldberg.  On Sunday, June 18, 2023, I stumbled on to a story on the Internet called "The One TV Show Whoopi Goldberg Believes Caused The End Of Society" [Richards, Lauren.  "The One TV Show Whoopi Goldberg Believes Caused The End Of Society."  The List, 17 June 2023.].  One portion of the story was--"Whoopi Goldberg believes that 'American Idol' caused more damage to society than good, arguing that it allowed open, harsh judgment of others and normalized its place in society.  'Once we gave people the ability to judge other people, I think we ran amok with it, and it's gone out of control,' Goldberg said on an episode of the talk show, 'The View'....  'They invited the public to decide who that person was, and I feel once we did that, it began us in a cycle which we have not [escaped].'."   People have been judging others--particularly entertainment people--for decades on television (at least) [Note: Oh, people have been judging musical performers of radio since at least 1920, and that can be see in record sales--some artists make a lot of money, and many do not, and that is all tied to judgement of quality and whatever.].  Nationally, in relation to television, there was, for example, The Original Amateur Hour or Ted Mack and The Original Amateur Hour (from 1948 to 1960), and Ed McMahon hosted Star Search in syndication (from 1983 to 1995), and in the 1970s and 1980s (roughly), Americans had The Gong Show (NBC-TV and syndication).  The Detroit area had a number of shows in which entertainers or so-called entertainers were judged by others, especially viewers, such as Starlit Stairway (in two versions) and Meet Mr. Callahan, and Dee Parker had afternoon shows on weekdays in a portion of the 1950s where children were judged.  Oh, beauty contests were commonplace on television from the 1940s to the 1980s, and then they began to disappear (though not completely).  Whoopi Goldberg is a person of junk, and that is a judgment from me--she teaches crap.
[On January 2, 1952, the Detroit Free Press had an article for readers on page 29 called "Lots of Talent", and it noted--"A television casting expert says there are usually 36 suitable actors for every TV part that is available.", and I say that someone had to make a judgment about who got to be in a part.]

And I do have to make a few comments about A Capitol Fourth for 2023, which was broadcast by PBS-affiliated television stations on July 4, 2023.  The annual program is supposed to promo as good the United States of America.  But, unfortunately for good people, PBS does have a habit of screwing up things.  The program this year had a salute to Tina Turner, who had died a few weeks previously.  Why was there are salute to Tina Turner when the program was supposed to be about the United States of America?  Tina Turner would be saluted in the Grammy Awards shows or at the Academy Awards shows.  The salute was uncalled for in A Capitol Fourth, especially because of who Tina Turner was.  In 1994, she began to live in Switzerland at Lake Zurich, and, in 2013, Tina Turner became an official citizen of Switzerland and got rid of officially her U.S. citizenship.  Yet, Tina Turner was saluted in a salute that should have only been about the United States of America.  It was crap from PBS.
[Note: I always wonder how many of the participants of the annual program are socialists and communists and such and support the Democratic Party, which is an anti-United States of America (as guided by The United States Constitution) political party.]

Hey, do you miss the channel called "Television Drive-In" (Channel 3.6)?  I do, even though it could have been better.  Since the channel no longer exists or is missing from the broadcast channel line-up of the Detroit area, I present as a replacement yet another Looking at the Movies feature of my monthly Television History and Trivia documents.  I think you need a bit of light-hearted and simple fun, so I go to Channel 7 (in better days), and I present "Vacation Days" as the presentation for this Looking at the Movies edition, which is for mid-summertime.  On Sunday, January 14, 1952, at 11:15 p.m., Channel 7 aired the movie, and it was movie that features "The Teen Agers" (Freddie Stewart, June Preisser, Frankie Darro, Warren Mills, and Noel Neill).  I fired up "Vacation Days" on YouTube, and the version--tied to something called "RiffTrax"--had commentary--supposedly something to add fun--and the extra stuff was bad.  So, forget that version of the movie.  Instead, I direct you to a version presented in relation to "Tubi" on YouTube, which does present commercials.  I will say nothing about the plot of the movie.  I have some notes.  The character called "Big Jim" is played by John Hart, and John Hart in the early 1950s played the Lone Ranger on The Lone Ranger television series when Clayton Moore--the original actor to play the Lone Ranger on television--was involved in a contract mess with the producers.  Also, early on in the film, there is an Indian character, who is standing with an Indian gal, and the actor playing the guy is Jay Silverheels, who went on to play Tonto throughout the run of The Lone Ranger on television.  Jay Silverheels goes uncredited in the movie.  And I note that Noel Neill, who plays Betty in the film, went on to play Lois Lane in the television series called Adventures of Superman, which was on television in the 1950s originally.  The final note about "Vacation Days" is that the movie is part of a set of eight movies that focus on the same characters (though not all the characters some times).

Remember: The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s, and I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.

Stay well!

Vic

P.S.: You are urged to see my document entitled One of "The Rules of Man"--A Rule About Health Care that No Politician May Supersede with Law, which can be reached through this Rule1 link.  I have deduced that all the Democrats and most Republicans support the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 and have no intention of killing it, though it should be killed for violating, for one, "The Rules of Man."  For example, Republicans Jeb Bush and Chris Christie support the rotten law, and that is one reason that I define them as stupid men and not men who are good enough--in this day and age--to be the U.S. President.  I note that the "mandate"--which forces everyone to buy government-approved health-care insurance--violates one of "The Rules of Man," and it is a rule that is attacked in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.  Anyone who supports the "mandate" is not a good enough person or a smart enough person to be the U.S. president--the mandate is "enslavism," and the "mandate" allows government people--who are often usually bad people, as history shows--decide what health care a person can get, and that is bad.
