"Shared Responsibility Payment"--this is a reason
to hate all Democrats (especially the politicians), many
upper-level politicians of Republican Party, and two-thirds of
U.S. Supreme Court.  The payment is what the federal
government thinks people who do not buy government-
approved health insurance should pay as a tax or a fine.
It has come about through the Patient Protection and
Affordable Care Act of 2010.  It is rottenness of the
highest degree.  The only way for a good person
to destroy a bad person is to hate the bad person.
It is a rule of life!  I promote hate of rotten people,
especially Barack Hussein Obama, a promoter of
Sharia and communism and a killer.  I will not share
in paying for jackass sex-change-appearance people,
like that "Jenner" defect of nature, or foreigners, especially
illegal aliens, who are criminals, despite what shit-head
Barack Obama wants you to believe.  Hate the enemy!
I state again--I promote hate against rotten people!

Announcement

At the open of Michigan Travel Tips #145 (reached through Travel #145) and the open of Television History and Trivia #145 (reached through T.H.A.T. #145), I passed along information, which your favorite television newscaster probably did not tell you about, that notes that the federal government--controlled by the evil Barack Obama and his associates (socialists and communities and black racists and the like)--is well into making it commonplace for the federal government to determine where and where not people, especially "whites," will get to buy property for residences and live in the United States of America, and it is tied to, for one, using even more taxpayer money to put low-income people into high-rent areas, especially communities that are mostly "white" in nature.  Also, the idea is to put people who are very likely to vote for "Democrats" than "Republicans" into communities that have in the past supported more "Republicans" and "Republican-type issues" in elections than "Democrats" and "Democratic Party-type issues" (which are now hard-line communistic issues).  Since your favorite newscaster, such as Stephen Clark of WXYZ-TV, who has shown he is a supporter of communistic ways, probably will not tell you--I say that you must look up truthful information about the "Small-Area Fair Market Rents" idea and the "Mobility Counselors" idea (the "Mobility Counselors" will be like enforcers).  You will see how rotten the nature of the "Democrat" of today is--it is hellish!  I say that the nature will involve violence, pushed out by the "Mobility Counselors."

- - - T.H.A.T., Edition No. 148 - - -

To start off this edition of Television History and Trivia, I have some errors to talk about related to television.  First, people in at least northern Lower Michigan get to see a television-listings publication called select TV (for instance, it is available with the Cheboygan Weekend Tribune) [Note: Other people in the country probably see it or something like it).  For the edition of July 30-August 5, 2016, the "trivia QUIZ" column had a focus on "Secret Identity" (it had ten questions for readers to try to answer).  The first question was--"In a popular 1975-79 TV series, Lynda Carter starred as Diana Prince, the secret identity of what formidable superheroine?".  Do you see the problem in the question?  "Diana Prince" was not a "secret identity" for Lynda Carter's character.  "Diana Prince" was the public identity.  "Wonder Woman" was the hidden identity.  Second, recently, I watched "Shinda Shima" on YouTube, and that show was an episode of Danger Man (the series of England that was called Secret Agent in the United States of America).  At about thirty minutes and 15 seconds into the program, John Drake (played by Patrick McGoohan) and a Japanese woman (played by Yoko Tani) were escaping from a hidden cave-like hideout for bad guys, and in a shot, John Drake exits the cave and the woman follows, and in that same shot, John Drake urges her forward ahead of him, and then in the next shot, John Drake is running from the cave, and he is way ahead of the woman.  That is one of those continuity errors that can happen in television.  It is something to see for fun.  Really, "Shinda Shima" was seen in the United States of America in what can be called a "derived television movie" called Koroshi (which was made up of two color episodes of Danger Man--"Koroshi" and "Shinda Shima"), and the movie was shown on ABC-TV on December 31, 1969.  And that is that!

Most of the people living today know little about the past television programs aired locally in the Detroit area since 1946, and that even applies to Tim Kiska, the rotten television historian whom I have talked about in the past--a bunch of times.  Here, I am going to talk about a program that had a fairly long run on Channel 7, WXYZ-TV, and yet--it seems--it has disappeared from history books.  The program was informally called Youth Bureau.  In the 1950s and early 1960s (at least), the "Youth Bureau" was a division of the Detroit Police Department, and the division focused on bad deeds and crimes associated with young persons.  From March 1956 to September 1962, that division of the Detroit Police Department was highlighted weekly on Youth Bureau.  Instrumental in making the program was Granville Ryan, who, for example, worked as a co-producer on the show or a producer, a director, a writer, and a narrator.  Some of the regulars on the show were Inspector Francis E. Davey (who had taken over as the inspector in charge of the "Youth Bureau" from Inspector Ralph Baker (who had left for retirement) in May 1955), Lt. John Hagemoser (who had been born in 1905), and Sergeant James Snark.  The program re-enacted police cases.  One show was about boys taking money from news boys, and one show was about boys stealing lawns, and yet another program was about missing dogs (entitled "The Case of the Missing Dogs").  One case was called "The Case of Jimmy Valentine Jr.", and yet another case was called "The Case of the Boy Bookie."  The program used local actors, but not all the performers on the show were actors.  For example, in 1961, Adelaide Dawber--who was a real baby sitter known to Granville Ryan--played a baby sitter in an episode, and that resulted in Adelaide Dawber getting booked for several months for work as a baby sitter.  [Note: I wonder if Adelaide Dawber has any families ties to Pam Dawber, who lived in the Detroit area for a while and who was a regular on Mork & Mindy on ABC-TV.)  The show--Youth Bureau--won at least one award; in 1958, Big Brothers of America presented an award of some type to the show.  Officially, on September 23, 1963, Youth Bureau was aired for the last time (it was the 335th consecutive weekly show), and in January 1965, Granville Ryan showed up as the producer of another television program for Channel 7 entitled Wheelsville U.S.A., which ran in 1965 and 1966, which presented news about cars of the world, and which had Don Karle as the commentator.  Let me back up. Youth Bureau may have been originally called something like Youth Bureau Boys In Trouble (or Youth Bureau: Boys in Trouble), based on an old newspaper article that I ran across, but I have not confirmed that yet.

Announcement for the novice again (reworked in August 2015): To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, go to Fox News Channel (which has to be treated as wishy-washy and suspect, showing signs of mostly supporting the Republican Party establishment, which is rotten), WorldNetDaily.com, "The Drudge Report," and CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama, as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (Note: To learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the better places mentioned with it in presenting political stories and events, and you should discover CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV avoid covering things that make Barack Obama look bad or show his true nature, which could harm you).  If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you.  [Note: The Republican Party establishment has shown itself to be socialistic and communistic within the last few years, and only a few of the rotten people are U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, U.S. Senator John McCain, Jeb Bush, and Chris Christie.]

Let me have fun with long-past television, the sinking of the quality of the schools, and the death of Detroit.  It is all in fun!  In the summer 1971, WXYZ-TV, Channel 7, had a weekday morning program called Summer School.  It ran a half hour.  That program could--could--show when things began to go bad for people in the Detroit area, especially those who where television viewers based in Detroit.  Generally speaking, Summer School was on in August and September.  Oh, in the summer of 1972, when television listings called the program TV Summer School, the program ran from early July 1972 to late September 1972.  Let me show you a couple episodes of the series.  In the summer of 1971, one episode was entitled "Discovering Detroit: A Walk Through History", and yet another episode was called "Great Lakes Heritage", which was presented with the curator of the Dossin Great Lakes Museum (of Detroit), who was Robert E. Lee, and yet another episode was entitled "Cadillac's Homeland", which was presented with Solon Weeks, who was the director of the Detroit Historical Museum.  In a way, the titles of the three episode give a person an impression that real knowledge was being offered.  You might call the material lofty.  Now let me show you some episodes of the 1972 season.  One episode was called "Cheerleading & Pom-Poms", which was presented with Kim Calvin, and yet another episode was called "Figure Fashions", which was presented with Emily Kay Murphy.  Based on the information presented, a person might deduce it was from 1971 to 1972 that things started to go to crap, and based on the titles of the episodes, a person really can deduce that Summer School or TV Summer School went from useful stuff to useless stuff.  Of course, my little talk is based on the titles of episodes for both seasons that I have been able to see so far--a lot of topics for episodes were unreported in the television program listings that I have seen.  Hey, if Summer School or TV Summer School was shown on WXYZ-TV today, I wonder what some of the topics would be.  Maybe there would be--"How to Sell Illegal Drugs on the Street--and Never Get Caught", "Using Marijuana for Fun and Profit", "Obamacare is Good For You", "The New Black Panthers is on Your Side", "Mothering Hints and Tips for Unwed Detroit Mothers",....

Commentary: Around the week of Monday, July 18, 2016, people on television were talking about how it seems Mrs. Donald Trump plagerized--taking lines of text from Michelle Obama and using the lines in a speech at the Republican National Convention.  Michelle Obama is rotten woman, as history shows, and she is a woman who has accomplished nothing.  Yet, Mrs. Donald Trump suggested to her speech writer--some woman--that she liked such and such lines from Michelle Obama, and the writer ended up using the lines (roughly) for Mrs. Donald Trump's speech.  Why would anyone even think of using or liking anything that Michelle Obama said?  Using the material directly or indirectly gives Michelle Obama credibility and makes Michelle Obama seem useful and good, though she is a rotten woman.  Such idiots there are on Donald Trump's team, and yet the idiots are so much better than Hillary Clinton and all her defective associates are.  Welcome to "The Pseudo Information Age and the Age of Ignorance."

Hey, let me talk trivia.  In the 1950s 1960s, and 1970s (at least), Sheree North was an actress that television viewers saw regularly on television (and she was in movies for theaters, too).  In 1954, Sheree North appeared on television for the first time, and her appearance made some viewers angry because of what she did.  The date was January 3, 1954, and the television program was The Bing Crosby Show, and the show was the first television special featuring Bing Crosby in the lead (he would have other "specials" called The Bing Crosby Show in the late 1950s and early 1960s, and for the 1964-1965 television season, he would have a series called The Bing Crosby Show).  The first special for Bing Crosby that had his name on it had Jack Benny as the main "guest" or "guest star."  In a segment or scene near the end of the program, Jack Benny came on the show with a date of sorts (it was "Miss Sheree North" playing Crystal Fogg (note: The spelling of the character may be incorrect)).  For the segment, Sheree North did what she was known for doing up to that time--dance.  Many viewers saw the dance as too sexually suggestive, and they wrote letters of protest, such as to editors of newspapers.  Recently, I finally decided to see the 1954 special--it was on YouTube.  To see something different, go to YouTube and look at the 1954 special called The Bing Crosby Show.

And the Olympics is a topic.  Before the Olympics would begin, I had no eagerness to see any of the broadcast, especially on NBC-TV, a communistic-based television network today.  Oh, I have to talk about some crap that comes from Al Roker of NBC-TV, particularly the Today program, where he is a weathercaster.  I am sick of Al Roker's nonsense of pushing out how millions of persons in the country are at risk because such-and-such of possible storms; he will say something like--"...Twenty-one million are at risk!....".  Al Roker--a pusher of the lie that is manmade global climate change--is seemingly working to persuade you that manmade global climate change is putting millions of persons at risk.  Oh, the Olympics is a communistic showcase, which started out this year with the theme about protecting the planet from manmade global climate change.  I do not watch Olympics anymore!

Remember: The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s, and I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.

Stay well!

Vic

P.S.: You are urged to see my document entitled One of "The Rules of Man"--A Rule About Health Care that No Politician May Supersede with Law, which can be reached through this Rule1 link.  I have deduced that all the Democrats and most Republicans support the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 and have no intention of killing it, though it should be killed for violating, for one, "The Rules of Man."  For example, Republicans Jeb Bush and Christ Christie support the rotten law, and that is one reason that I define them as stupid men and not men who are good enough--in this day and age--to be the U.S. President.  On February 18, 2016, during a "Republican Presidential Town Hall" broadcast on CNN, Donald Trump showed why he would not be a great U.S. President by saying--"Well, I like the mandate.  Okay.  Here's where I'm a little bit different.  I don't want people dying in the street....".  I note that the "mandate"--which forces every to buy government-approved health-care insurance--violates one of "The Rules of Man," and it is a rule that is attacked in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.  Anyone who supports the "mandate" is not a good enough person or a smart enough person to be the U.S. president--the mandate is "enslavism," and the "mandate" allows government people--who are often and usually bad people, as history shows--decide what health care a person can get, and that is bad.
