It is not often when I come up with a good idea to open an edition of T.H.A.T., and then I have another good idea, and then I have another good idea, and then I have a good idea. Within the past month, a lot of rottenness has shown up to pass along. For instance, pushers of Sharia (Islamic law and the crap that is "Allah" and The Quran) killed people in France (which is on the European continent) and Mali (which is on the Africa continent), and such persons shot down a Russian fighter at Turkey, and, in essence, Barack Obama showed more evidence that he is on the side of the pushers of Sharia (such as by doing little and downplaying the killings), and there is more that your favorite television newscaster probably did not tell you about. [Note: I wonder if President Putin of Russia has come to realize Barack Obama is the enemy of the United States of America and Russia, being on the side of the pushers of Sharia.] Really, a lot of information has showed up about bad people in the world--who are tied to television--for me to use on this edition of T.H.A.T.. It is getting to the point where I am compelled in order to protect good people to talk about nothing else than the rotten people who are tied to television, and there will be a lot of that in this edition T.H.A.T., but I open with some fun before I beat up on rotten people, such as Bob Seger (a very famous musician who is based in Michigan).
On November 23, 2015, I had the television set on in the kitchen, and I was waiting to take a long-distance drive in Michigan, and I happened to tune into the Decades network (one of a bunch of subchannel networks available in the Detroit area). I immediately saw Boris Karloff playing a detective on the screen in what was an old television series. It was an episode of a series called Colonel March of Scotland Yard, and Boris Karloff was playing Colonel March, and in the episode, Colonel March was investigating the death of a doctor, who died in a room in which a killer could not enter it seems, and some of the other performers were Phil Brown (as Dr. Hayes), Gerald Heinz (as Dr. Patten), and Robert Adair (Cusby). I knew none of the supporting players. By the way, often I see people that I recognize in old television series shown on subchannel networks. The reason that I knew no one but Boris Karloff in the episode of Colonel March of Scotland Yard is that the episode was made in 1954 in England--with English actors and actresses (non-regular performers on television in the United States of America in the 1950s). Colonel March of Scotland Yard was offered to television viewers in the United States of America for the first time during the 1954-1955 television season, and it was syndicated to television stations around the country; for instance, in September 1954, WABC-TV, in New York City (New York), was showing the series on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m., and in March 1955, WSAU-TV, in Milwaukee (Wisconsin), was showing the series on Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. The episodes--which were on film--ran a half-hour. In the 1954-1955 season, only one episode was shown each week (there were no repeat showings), and there were 26 weeks of first-run episodes. For the run of the series, which only was produced for one season, there were two semi-regular characters--Goron (played by Eric Pohlmann) and Inspector Ames (played by Ewan Roberts). The episode was likable, written by Paul Monash. Paul Monash--that name I recognized. Paul Monash was an American, and he wrote other television programs, and he wrote movie stuff. When I caught the ending credits of the program, I was reminded that it was distributed by Official Films. In the 1950s, Official Films was famous for distributing syndicated half-hour-type television series to television stations in the United States of America, and you will see the name of the company on other series that get aired on subchannel networks in the Detroit area today.
Since I published the previous edition of T.H.A.T., another subchannel network has shown up in the Detroit area. The network, which showed up on Channel 2.4 (related to WJBK-TV) on November 19, 2015, is called "Heroes & Icons" (or, simply, "H&I"); the network had been launched on September 28, 2014, but Detroit viewers did not get the series till November 19, 2015. Some of the old series that are shown on H&I are The Rogues, The Rat Patrol, The Guns of Will Sonnett, Kung Fu, Stories of the Highway Patrol, Branded, Mannix, 21 Jump Street, and Hill Street Blues. The channel seems to be programmed to attract men mostly.
When I am in the Detroit area, I watch subchannel networks usually, and those that I tune into most often are Cozi TV, MeTV, Buzzr, Get TV, Movies!, this, Grit TV, and Retro, and I sometimes look in on Decades, Bounce, and Laff. (Remember: Antenna TV disappeared a bit ago from the Detroit area.). Decades runs a first-run series called Through the Decades, and I saw one episode about Obamacare one day, which worked to make Obamacare look good, and so I do not watch the series called Through the Decades, and Grit TV does have too much Walker, Texas Ranger (though it was a good series) in the evening on the daily schedule (Note: The network needs more variety).
Special commentary: Starting in September 1966, CBS-TV began running an animated cartoon called The Lone Ranger (which had Marvin Miller as the narrator, Michael Rye as The Lone Ranger, and Shephard Menken as Tonto). I have not seen a full episode in years, but episodes are available on YouTube. I say that Grit could be better by adding some old cartoons, such as The Lone Ranger, from time to time as special blocks in prime time or elsewhere. There are other somewhat-adult cartoons of the past that could be run, or there are some that guys who were young in the 1960s or 1970s who might like to see that cartoon stuff. The programers at Grit could actually take up doing real "programming" or "creative programming."
While watching subchannel networks, I have recently seen commercials for "HDfree.tv" (basically, a product that is an antenna to pick up digital broadcast television for analog-based television sets). The commercial is a rather deceiving presentation. For one, a person with a digital television set does not need the product--the person only needs an antenna for the television set to pick up over-the-air broadcast stations. The commercial notes that "recently" the federal government required television stations to broadcast in digital form. That is nonsense. The requirement goes back a bunch of years. The commercial promotes that idea that a person can get the antenna and then see a bunch of channels (main channels of stations and subchannels). Yes, in the Detroit area of Michigan, there are dozens of channels to see, as there are in other big broadcast markets (or big cities), but in small markets, there are not (for example, in parts of northern Lower Michigan, people only have few regular channels to choose from and only one or two or three subchannels). The commercial that I saw had two hosts, one of whom seemed to be or sounded like a foreign gal.
While doing research on things, I sometimes stumble across something unexpected. On November 25, 2015, I stumbled across information that noted that "Trudy Haynes" was a judge for the 54th Annual Miss America Pageant, which was broadcast on Saturday, September 7, 1974, by NBC-TV (Note: Some other judges were Peter Lind Hayes and Mary Healy (a married couple), who were nationally famous television personalities, and Eddie Foy III, a casting director, such as for television, and a person related to Eddie Foy, the famous actor of the early 1900s or so, and the host of the program was Bert Parks). Who is Trudy Haynes? From 1956 to September 1963, she did work as a radio personality for WCHB-AM radio in the Detroit area, and she hosted, there, a program called "The Teenie Weenie Show" for a while, but she mostly was known for being the "woman's editor" at the station, doing, for instance, "homemaking"-type shows. In September 1963, Trudy Haynes became a weather girl for WXYZ-TV (Channel 7) in Detroit (Michigan), and some day in the next year, she became a general assignment reporter for the station, and in August 1965, she left the station and went to KYW-TV, Philadelphia, as a reporter, starting on August 23, 1965, and she stayed with that station in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania) for a little over three decades. Trudy Haynes was the first black weathercaster on television in Detroit, and she was first black television reporter in Philadelphia. [By the way, I ran across some stories that never noted that Trudy Haynes was a general assignment reporter at WXYZ-TV, giving the impression that Trudy Haynes was only a weathercast (weather girl) for WXYZ-TV, before moving on to KYW-TV.]
Announcement for the novice again (reworked in August 2015): To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, go to Fox News Channel (which has to be treated as wishy-washy and suspect, showing signs of mostly supporting the Republican Party establishment, which is rotten), WorldNetDaily.com, "The Drudge Report," and CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama, as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (Note: To learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the better places mentioned with it in presenting political stories and events, and you should discover CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV avoid covering things that make Barack Obama look bad or show his true nature, which could harm you). If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you. [Note: The Republican Party establishment has shown itself to be socialistic and communistic within the last few years, and only a few of the rotten people are U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, U.S. Senator John McCain, Jeb Bush, and Chris Christie.]
So let me get to crap now!
I start with a little note about TLC (a network). On October 5, 2015, the network aired such programs as The Man with No Penis and The Man with the 80-lb Groin, and the network To me, sometimes the network comes off like the old traveling carnival shows of the country (circa 1800s and early 1900s) that had the bearded lady, the snake woman, the tallest man in the world, the midget man, the strongest man in the world, the snake man, et cetera.
On Sunday, November 22, 2015, I happened to tune into Meet the Press with Chuck Todd, which is on NBC-TV each week, and it focuses on political stuff (and propaganda stuff). In discussion segments on the day, the program had such people has Helen Cooper, Kathleen Parker, Tom Brokaw, Ron Fournier, and Arsalan Iftikhar (a guy). Arsalan Iftikhar is a racist or a person who pushes for racial hatred, as I discovered. Almost immediately upon tuning in, I saw the group of people talking about the attack by pushers of Sharia (Islamic terrorists) in Mali a few day previously, and Arsalan Iftikhar pushed out the idea that the attack did not get much talking about in the United States of America because of racism, and, in fact, Arsalan Iftikhar said--"...I mean, I think race has a lot to do with it. I mean you have a black predominantly Muslim country in Mali, which is 97% Muslim and then you have a white European country like France....". Let me show up the crap that Arsalan Iftikhar is. First, many people in America come from lines of people who came from Europe--such as France--to settle on the American continent, and so they have close ties to Europe. Second, France is an international tourist destination, and many people living in the United States of America go to France to visit, and France spends money on promotions to get Americans to visit France (France needs tourism dollars). Third, Mali does not push to have tourists from America show up, so what little money Americans have for international trips ends up going to places that they think about going to, maybe based on advertising (such as France, England, Japan, China, et cetera). Fourth, what does Mali have for tourist attractions? Mali is not in the minds of people, and it has nothing to do with racism. How many people in the United States of America even know where Mali is? I have seen things that note that many Americans do not known where the Pacific Ocean is in relation to where they are or in relation to the country. Hold it! Since Arsalan Iftikhar was implying, for one, the media in the United States of America did not cover the Mali killing event much, as it had the France event, then Arsalan Iftikhar was pushing out the idea that the main media in the country--the "liberal"-controlled media--is racist. I could buy that. Arsalan Iftikhar did show himself to be a rotten man.
Oh, on October 12, 2015, PBS aired an episode of I'll Have What Phil's Having, and the location for the episode was Paris, France, and the series--through other episodes--never did go to Mali, which Arsalan Iftikhar might think hints that "Phil" is racist against the blacks of Mali.
I state here--Communism and socialism (which is temporarily restrained communism) are rotten political systems, in which--really--a few people get to live their lives well as dictators and oppressors over many, such as millions, and often the people who get to do the ruling get to do what they like to do--hurt other people and use violence on other people. By the way, such good persons as Mark R. Levin, Michael Savage, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Tom Marr who run well-known radio-based talk shows and work to, for example, show up communists and socialists, such as the highly rotten Barack Hussein Obama, have yet to really say--Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Bernie Sanders and like persons like--if not love--to hurt other people. Liking or loving to hur others--that is the real nature of the communist and the socialist and the "liberal" and the Shariaist and the like. History proves my point!
On November 18, 2015, I learned through an article published by The Detroit News (it is mentioned in Michigan Travel Tips #140, which can be reached through this Travel #140 link) that Bob Seger (the really famous Michigan-based musical performer, whose fame got started in the 1960s) is a supporter of Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Then, on November 22, 2015, I learned through an article in the Detroit Free Press (Schaefer, Jim. "A Few Minutes with...A guy with a really, really Big Head." Detroit Free Press, 22 November 2015, p. 2A.) that the Thanksgiving Day parade to be held in Detroit on was going to have a new "Big Head" (a person wearing a big head of a personality) that was an image of Bob Seger [Note: The article had a photograph that showed the big head of Bob Seger, and the image of Bob Seger was not pleasant]. A person who supports rotten people is a rotten person--Bob Seger supports communists and socialists. Really, that makes Bob Seger a piece of shit! And yet the Parade Company put together a "Big Head" of Bob Seger for the Thanksgiving Day Parade for 2015, and, in essence, the company promoted as good a rotten man. Yes, at seventy years of age, Bob Seger is a piece of shit and yet he gets promoted as good, which shows the rottenness of others. [Note: Bob Seger also buys into the crap that is manmade global warming that is killing the planet, but that is to be expected from a type of person whose only skill is putting musical notes and lyrics together, which, in truth, is low-thought work and which is useless work--writing music is not a sign of intelligence.]
Bob Seger is like so many other rich musical performers--"Democrats" (a collection of communists and socialists and black racists)--who support "enslavism" forms of government (corruption and violence against people as a whole), and other such musical performers are Paul McCartney (once a member of The Beatles), Madonna, Kanye West, Katy Perry, Gloria Estefan, and Jon Bon Jovi.
[Special commentary note: Here is a special note about and to musical performers, such as those listed in this document so far. Really, musical performers are involved in presenting snippet thought--a very few words in a single song that may last a few minutes (often words are repeated). Musical performers really do not say much, and much that is said is poor grammar, logically defective, nothing more than images and fantasy, et cetera. Based on all the idiot thought that I have heard over the years from musical performers in interviews and such, I can say that, basically, musical performers are useless thinkers. Hey, Bob Seger, you are a well-paid idiot who hurts people based on your rotten beliefs of the ways of life!]
On Thursday, November 26, 2015, in the morning, WDIV-HD, Channel 4.1, broadcast the America's Thanksgiving Parade from Detroit, Michigan, and the station syndicated the program to other television stations. I watched the broadcast on "29&8" (Channel 8.1 or Channel 4.2), which people in, for example, northeastern Lower Michigan can see on television sets. Early in the broadcast, I got exposed to a jackass promo for the Channel 4 weather team, which had Ben Bailey (the head meteorologist) walking in a restaurant, and Ben Bailey had a line that put out the choice about whether a person is a person who likes the winter weather or would like to "punch Frosty in the face." What jackass wrote that about punching Frosty? Was it Ben Bailey or someone in the promotions or advertising department? Whoever it was is a screw up! By the way, the character known as "Frosty the Snowman" goes back decades, such as back to at least the 1969 television special called Frosty the Snowman (produced by Arthur Rankin Jr. and Jules Bass), which had Jackie Vernon doing the voice of Frosty, and children have loved the character (and the television special) for decades [Note: I have a two-and-a-half-foot-tall Frosty that someone gave me a few years ago]. Before the parade officially began, the station had about a one-hour pre-show, which had guests and had musical performers performing. The first singer was a black guy, whose name I did not get (since the station did not put his name in text form on the screen), but it may have been something-or-other Fiddler, and his performance came off as weak and even bad. Angela Davis (a singer, who is based at Southfield (Michigan), who had won the "Super Singer" contest sponsored by the station in June 2015), sang "Ease on Down the Road" (a song from the show The Wiz), and I can say that she did a good job (she had three guys with her). Joan Belgrave sang a song in a blues style called--I think--"Merry Christmas, Baby"--and I rate the performance as average, since I heard one slip, and, in addition, I am not thrilled with "yelling singers" (a "yelling singer" is a singer who seems to think that yelling out the lyrics is a sign of good dramatic presentation) [Note: WDIV-TV is an affiliate of NBC-TV, and NBC-TV aired The Wiz Live! on December 3, 2015]. "The Jersey Boys" singing segment was a little weak, because the team of four gals sort of had an irritating presentation (something in the voice of at least one of the gals was not pleasant to my ears), and the segment was used to open up the start of parade coverage officially. A camera went astray during the showing of the Hitsville U.S.A. float (on which were members of The Contours), and DTE Energy had a float in the parade, and the float, which was promoting energy, seemed to not be working fully, since it seemed to me something was supposed to be moving in the "world" part and it was not moving, and, of course, the marching bands often came off as a bit crummy in the program, which is standard for parade broadcasts (since microphone pickup is hard to do well), yet viewers were supposed to vote for a winner in a "Battle of the Bands" contest" through an Internet site, and the station showed the new piece-of-crap Bob Seger "Big Head" creature. Overall, the production was adequate. The full broadcast ran three hours (but some stations airing the program only aired a portion of the presentation)
Hey, the communists and socialists in the country got to celebrate their ways on Thanksgiving Day through a presentation on PBS. During prime time on November 26, 2015, PBS aired Alice's Restaurant 50th Anniversary Concert, featuring Arlo Guthrie, who came to fame as musical performer in the late 1960s and early 1970s, when "Angela Davis"--the ugly black gal and a member of the Communist Party U.S.A. (and not the singer of Southfield)--was in the national news. I missed it.
Since I published the previous edition of T.H.A.T., I have several times seen a commercial for "Apple" that features Stevie Wonder and his family (a wife and some children), and they sing a "Christmas"-type song. By the way, Stevie Wonder and his family support the Democratic Party--or communism and socialism and such. The wife does not sing well, and it is irritating to me. The woman cuts off words when she sings, and, also, the singing comes off as phony. And she is not pleasant--her unpleasant persona shows through.
Since I published the previous edition of T.H.A.T., I have seen a commercial for CapitalOne, which has Spike Lee, Charles Barkley, and Samuel L. Jackson as participants. The guys mentioned are blacks who support Barack Obama, and that means they are rotten blacks. There is an old rule--Good people do not associate with bad people. In the commercial, The Muppets known as "Missy Piggy" and "Kermit the Frog" take part. By the way, the previous edition of T.H.A.T. had a review of the new series on ABC-TV called The Muppets., which has The Muppets as not likable. So the commercial has Muppets tied to three rotten black men. It is another sign of the downfall of The Muppets and how the image of The Muppets is being used to promote rottenness and rotten people as good.
By the way, have you noticed how--these days--young country-music stars are happy being on television shows with well-known communistic and socialistic music performers who support Barack Obama? Years ago, country-music performers wee pro-United States of America and anti-communists. Today, I see a lot of young country-music performers appearing in television programs with people who are anti-U.S.A. (as defined by The United States Constitution). Keep your eyes open for that!
It seems to me one way that "liberals" (communists and such) who work in the television business making shows for prime-time slots on NBC-TV can have fun is to put down the average American in all ways possible--the makers can indirectly laugh at Americans--and another way to put down America is to have a series that has a Spanish-type woman in the lead role (American Ferrera). On November 30, 2015, NBC-TV ran the two episodes of a new series entitled Superstore--covering an hour, and American Ferrera was the main actress. I watched the opening of the first episode, and within minutes, I was saying--Why would I want to see these people from week to week? The people came off as crap. It is not surprising since the network airing the program was NBC-TV, the communist supporting network (the network is an elitist network that puts down America and Americans as a whole). Instead of having the actress call herself "American Ferrera", she should call herself "Central American Ferrera," for not being a supporter of The United States Constitution and for supporting crap ways of life (such as South American communism tied to Spanish-type people) that is coming in to the country from south of the border.
NBC-TV is also the network airing the new series entitled Chicago Med, the first episode of which I caught to see the credits, and the episode came off as more "liberal" crap, working to promote Chicago as a good place, though it is not (it even had the hard-line communist mayor of the city--Rahm Emanuel, who is a close friend of Barack Obama's--in a cameo). Remember: Ezekiel Emanuel--Rahm Emaneul's brother--was one of the persons instrumental in structuring the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (a.k.a. "Obamacare"). The Emanuels are rotten men. Author special note and commentary: The Emanuels (Ezekiel and Rahm) are people who are killers really! Good people must be able to protect themselves against them and people like them, such as Barack Obama. Only a rotten country has citizens who do not have guns that can be used to protect themselves from politicians and their government. Only rotten people push for a country with strict "gun control" really. On Sunday, December 6, 2016, Mitch Albom and Rochelle Riley--two writers for the Detroit Free Press and two persons who are Detroit-area television personalities and who are supporters of communism--had articles in the Detroit Free Press designed to get more "gun control" established in the country, ultimately meaning get guns out of the hands of "the people." Rochelle Riley's article was entitled "Why are we cowards when it comes to gun control?" [Riley, Rochelle. "Why are we cowards when it comes to gun control?" Detroit Free Press, 6, December 2015, p. 3A.], and Mitch Albom's article was entitled "If gun laws don't change then something else will" [Albom, Mitch. "If gun laws don't change then something else will." Detroit Free Press, 6 December 2015, p. 1A.]. Rochelle Riley and Mitch Albom are only two persons who I can use in a talk showing people who wish push for getting more guns out of the hands of "the people" and push for having "the people" disarmed against rotten politicians--such as the Democrats (who are today communists and socialists and Shariaists and racist blacks)--and others, such as them. Rochelle Riley's theme about "cowards" really showed off her shit-head mind--A person's having a gun to protect the self against the government has nothing to do with "cowardice." Here is one of the rotten set of words from Mitch Albom in his article--"...I don't have a fast answer for this. Nor do I have the energy or stomach to argue with hate spewing people who are so mesmerized by gun possession they won't budge an inch. It's pointless....". See how rotten Mitch Albom is? Barack Obama is a killer! That is why I will not budge! Barack Obama and like people must be kept at bay, and guns will do that! Human are animals, and they can be worse than animals, and, for instance, Barack Obama is one of the worst (and his nature is not much beyond that of a hyena). I remember the lessons learned with Hitler, Mao, Castro, and the other killers. I will not let killers, even those involved in mass shootings and those hoping to get more gun control in the country by killing many, push me into accepting the idea that "the people" should not have guns that can keep the politicians controlled. [By the way, Mitchy Albom, Barack Obama has a "sick, murderous mind" I know it! I see it! I hope all the worst for Barack Obama!] In Rochelle Riley's jackass piece of writing, there were these words--"...We are cowards who count victims without seeing lifeless faces. Maybe we should televise the dead....". Okay, Rochelle Riley, let us regularly show the face of the murdered U.S. border officer who died of a gun shot from one of Barack Obama's guns of the "Fast and Furious" scandal, which was designed to get more gun control in the country and get guns out of the hands of "the people"--Barack Obama did that--and let us show the faces of the four Americans, one of whom was an ambassador, who died in the "Benghazi Killings Scandal" tied to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton [Remember--For one, Barack Obama let the four die, by doing nothing!], and Barack Obama has now allowed Iran to get nuclear weapons! Remember, viewer, every time that you see Rochelle Riley and Mitch Albom on television, see the real nature of what each is. They are rotten people, and there is nothing--nothing--good about them! [Note: For the "enslavist," when government cannot be challenged, then the "enslavist" is happy and safe, and the enslavist knows bad people--or the enslavists--cannot do bad if their targets can fight back, such as with guns.]
By the way, your favorite television newscaster probably did not report what the "Fast and Furious Scandal" was about. The general idea was this--The Barack Obama administration worked to get American guns into the hands of Mexican thugs, who then could use the guns to kill people and rob people, such as Americans near the border of Mexico and the United States of America, and then the Barack Obama administration could push the idea that America had to get rid of more guns since it was the guns obtained in the United States of America that killed. I state--When a federal government pulls such a scam--and it was a scam--that federal government is rotten and is working to enslave the citizens and to make it impossible for the citizens to fight back against the government.
On Thursday, December 3, 2015, NBC-TV aired The Wiz Live!, and I only caught a bit of the program, purposely choosing not to see it all, after seeing the opening segment. A newcomer named Shanice Williams was cast as Dorothy. Shanice Williams was not pleasant to look at--she often looked angry or mean. The producers and casting members did not chose an actress who fit the part of Dorothy well. Shanice Williams looked more like she would make a good Wicked Witch of the West. At least the Angela Davis (of Southfield) came off as not angry or mean during her performance on America's Thanksgiving Parade for 2015. I say--Dorothy should be pleasant. Shanice Williams' Dorothy right from the beginning of The Wiz Live! was a turn off.
And there is this. When I look back in time while searching for information about old television programs, I find out what people used to watch on television--especially forgotten television programs. On Friday, May 27, 1949, television viewers in the Detroit area were given a television show covering the "Aviation Week Beauty Contest," which was broadcast by WXYZ-TV, Channel 7, starting at 9:30 p.m. I yet do not know if the broadcast was a network broadcast or a local broadcast. The show was one of the first beauty contests broadcast to Detroit-area viewers.
Remember: The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s, and I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.
P.S.: Over the past few months, I have not done much to track down information about television shows produced at Detroit-area television stations in the 1940s and 1950s, since I was becoming an authority on the history of 40 Mile Point Light Station (which is now a musuem) and things associated with it, such as The S.S. Calcite (a steamer on the Great Lakes from 1912 to late 1960), and I was continuing my research on The Mackinaw WAGB-83 (originally called The Mackinaw WAG-83), which is I am an expert on, but, recently, I took up looking for some old television stuff again, and in the next edition of T.H.A.T., I will have a report on a television show called Peter, Clare and Oscar, which a lot of people of today say was aired in 1950, which is wrong.
