Announcement

Television--especially television news--does a bad job as a whole of showing
up and exposing the rotten people who exist in the United States
of America, and because of that, I do.  Barack Obama is a bad man
and a shit-head man, his being a perpetual liar and a pusher of "enslavism"
(such as communism and Sharia (the ways of Islamic Law)) and his being a
supporter of rotten people, such as black communist dictators in
Africa and other rotten political leaders around the world.  Yes, I say that
Barack Obama is one of the shit-head blacks in the United States of
America, and he is not the only one.  There is, for instance, Eric Holder
(the U.S. Attorney General), who is clearly a black racist and a
supporter of communistic-type political ways, and there are such
other persons as U.S. Representative John Conyers, Reverend Jesse Jackson,
and Reverend Al Sharpton.  In addition, The New Black Panthers is
a black racist group in the country (Note: The Barack Obama
administration dropped charges against some members of
The New Black Panthers for violating some people's voting rights
in 2008, such by using intimidation that suggested violence).
There are others who could be named, but I will leave them out,
given there are too many to count; for instance, all those blacks
that push as acceptable the use of mind-altering drugs, such
as marijuana, are rotten, and Barack Obama, who has used mind-altering
drugs in the past (as he reported publicly), is a "pusher man" really.
On Saturday, August 9, 2014, a young black man
named Michael Brown was shot and killed in Ferguson, Missouri, and
the shooter was a police officer, and the event brought out a lot of
rotten people of at least the Ferguson area--such as rioters
and thieves and looters and race baiters (even Barack Obama did more to
push for more rioting than push to calm the situation in the week or so
after the shooting had taken place).  Over the week or so
after the shooting had taken place, it was shown that, in essence,
Michael Brown was another rotten young man, and television did a
bad job of reporting that Michael Brown was a rotten young
man.  Michael Brown, who was a big young man--a big young man--had
marijuana in his body at the time of the shooting.  Another name
for marijuana is "dope" (which has been in commonplace
use for decades, based on how the "drug" does do damage to people and
society).  A person who has marijuana in the body--especially
if the person is big--can be difficult for another person, such
as a police officer, to take control of or take into custody.  At the time this
edition of T.H.A.T. was published, I cannot report what led
to the shooting death of Michael Brown officially, but I can
report that Michael Brown was another rotten young man in the
United States of America, and some television people are working
to make it seem that Michael Brown was a good young man, and
that is nonsense and shows up the rottenness in the media in
the United States of America.

I am not impressed by celebrities, especially local (or hometown) celebrities, such as those who are radio-show hosts and or television-program hosts.  I find many are actually stupid people, especially those who are involved in the news businesses on television, in which image is more important than substance, and some of the people are truly rotten people, though they look good on camera or smile well, a very good example of whom is Stephen Clark (a main anchor for the news department of WXYZ-HD, Channel 7.1), who is a supporter of communism, such as national health care, as I showed several years ago, when I talked about a five-part report done by Stephen Clark about the health care system in the United States of America and the health care system in Canada, which passed along crap to the television audience.  On Thursday, August 14, 2014, I was at a Meier grocery store near 14 Mile Road and I-75 in the Detroit area, and I happened to spot Brad Galli with his wife at the store (Brad Galli is one of the members of the sports department for WXYZ-HD).  He happened to be standing with a group of shoppers who were watching a young woman demonstrate a product called "The Quick Whisk."  To me, Brad Galli came off as a boy--a happy-go-luck shallow boy.  In addition, while watching his mannerisms, I thought about how he is probably too much of a boy (a low-level thinker) to understand the rottenness that surrounds him in the news department at WXYZ-HD, such as that contained within Stephen Clark (but, then again, maybe he does and maybe he is part of the rottenness).  Brad Galli is just another in a long line of local television celebrities--useless people really--in the Detroit area, a line that goes back to 1947.

In August 1995, the first "Woodward Dream Cruise" took place in the Detroit area (especially in the Ferndale/Royal Oak area), and the "Woodward Dream Cruise" is an event in which people with old cars (done up well) show off their vehicles on Woodward Avenue, and the official event usually takes place on a Saturday in August, but people are running up and down Woodward Avenue in their great cars on the several days before "the Saturday," and, generally speaking, the cars are found on Woodward Avenue between Eight Mile Road (the border of Detroit and Ferndale) and Pontiac (Michigan).  On Saturday, August 17, 1996, the second annual event took place, and it was the first time that a live broadcast of the event was given, and it was broadcast for one hour (beginning at 8:00 p.m.) by WXYZ-TV, Channel 7, and every year later, WXYZ-TV has broadcast a live show from Woodward Avenue on the evening of the event, and, usually, the broadcast lasts two hours.  In the early years, Dick Purtan (of WOMC-FM, Ferndale, Michigan) and Guy Gordon and other news department people from WXYZ-TV were presenters of the broadcasts, and, by the way, "Captain Dennis Neubacher" was known for flying above the event and giving reports from "News Copper 7."  Also in the early years or for a number of years, WXYZ-TV preempted the entire ABC-TV network feed for the evening of the event with the "Woodward Dream Cruise" broadcast and with specials, such as showings of episodes of old television series (such as Charlie's Angels) or movies (such as Blue Hawaii, which featured Elvis Presley).  On Saturday, August 16, 2014, WXYZ-HD, Channel 7.1, broadcast the most recent "Woodward Dream Cruise," a broadcast that ran for two hours beginning at 7:00 p.m.  The main hosts of the event were Stephen Clark and Carolyn Clifford, and other staffers from the station taking part in the broadcast were Vic Faust, Alicia Smith, Glenda Lewis, Malcom Maddox, Jeff Vaughn, JoAnne Purtan, Brad Galli, and Keenan Smith (who was in a helicopter).  The broadcast was a passable production, given, for instance, a lot of vehicles were shown and very few dignitaries were shown (the only mayor who got air time was the mayor of Ferndale, Dave Coulter).  Most of the vehicles that were shown were shown in pre-recorded segments, and about two dozen vehicles got special showings in clips (the owners lived in cities of the Detroit area, basically), and there were only a few celebrities shown in clips (such as Mark Farner (a member of a musical group called Grand Funk Railroad), Helio Castroneves (a race-car driver), and Kurt Busch (race-car driver)).  The broadcast was the nineteenth for the station, but the event was the twentieth.  As far a television quality is concerned, the broadcast was good.

Advertisement: In March 2009, a book called Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, which had been written by Mark R. Levin, was published.  Through the book, Mark R. Levin talks about how tyranny has been creeping into the country, and he also talks about how the country has been changing from a representative republic, which has a constitution as a basis, to something, yet to be defined, and although Mark R. Levin says that it is the statist who is causing the change, especially those who are a part of the Democratic Party and in government jobs, I say that it is communists, socialists, would-be dictators, and Marxists, such as Barack Obama, who are making the changes, such as by discarding The U.S. Constitution.  I urge you to see and read Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, and pass it on to others, especially teenagers and young adults (and consider listening to The Mark Levin Show, the nationally syndicated radio show, on a regular basis).

Have you been noticing changes taking part at WMYD-HD, Channel  20.1?  Recently, I noted that WXYZ-HD is doing newscasts for WMYD-HD at 10:00 p.m. for one hour every day of the week.  On Monday, August 4, 2014, WXYZ-HD began to produce a two-hour newscast/chat fest on weekday mornings for WMYD-HD, and it features such station staffers as Vic Faust and Alicia Smith.  It is two hours a day of more fluff and shallow stuff like that which is presented by WJBK-HD (Channel 2.1) on the weekday mornings and by NBC-TV through Today or associated blocks of Today (such as Today's Take) on weekdays.  The type of programs to which I refer can be likened to watching relatives sitting in your living room talking about stuff that you hardly care about and will escape your memory a short time later.

By the way, I recently saw an advertisement for the 10 o'clock (in the evening) newscast being done on weekdays for WMYD-HD, and the theme was--"A Real Choice."  The only other station airing a 10 o'clock newscast on weekdays is WJBK-HD (channel 2.1).  What is the real choice?  I guess the choice is between the local fluff of Channel 2.1 or the local fluff of Channel 20.1.  Maybe 20.1 is ten times better than 2.1 is because 20.1 is bigger than 2.1 is.

Announcement for the novice again: To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, go to Fox News Channel, WorldNetDaily.com, "The Drudge Report," and CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama, as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (to learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the Fox News Channel and those mentioned with it in presenting political stories and events, and you should discover CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV avoid covering things that make Barack Obama look bad or show his true nature, which could harm you).  If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you.

I have reported that the day and age that we have today I call "The Pseudo Information Age and the Age of Ignorance."  Much of this edition of T.H.A.T. has focused on WXYZ-HD.  I have waited till now to report what I am about to report--On Monday, June 16, 2014, a television station deal closed, and, for one, WXYZ-HD (really Scripps) acquired WMYD-HD.  If you are only hearing about the sale through this edition of T.H.A.T., you have evidence of "The Pseudo Information Age and the Age of Ignorance."

It is time to show up the rottenness of "Dora" (the cartoon character).  On Monday, August 18, 2014, Nickelodeon put on the air on the first episode of Dora and Friends: Into the City.  In the edition of TV Guide for August 11-24, 2014, there was a preview article for the series on page 60, and, in essence, it opened with--"...THE FAMOUS LATIN preschool explorer is embarking on a new adventure.  Dora, now 10, moves from the jungle to a more realistic urban environment where she hangs with a group of human pals (bye-bye, Boots!), who are all about giving back...."  The statement made me angry.  It shows the theme of the series is to teach socialism/communism to children.  "Giving back" (meaning "giving back to the community" really)--is about putting down business and earning money and about being a volunteer and being a government pawn and about giving time (as much as possible) to others and about thinking of others first as much a possible, and it all promotes that idea that caring for the shelf (such as by earning money, maybe becoming well off) is bad, and that is nonsense.  The theme promotes the goodness of a welfare state--taking from people and giving to others (most of whom should and can care of the self).  If you are a person who makes money, which can keep you off of welfare and being a burden on society (and others), and that is "giving back," since you are not taking something for nothing done, and if you are a person who makes money, you are probably making something, which helps society and others, and that is giving back, and if you are not a killer or a thief, you are not taking from others and "giving others" burdens.  I could go on with the theme of the previous sentence.  I say that Dora and Friends: Into the City was designed as a political propaganda piece.  It is rotten, and I do not recommend it for viewing.

Oh, by the way, the edition of TV Guide for August 11-24, 2014, had a change for readers.  The magazine reduced the amount of information put in television-program grids.  In fact, each day dropped from two pages of information to one page of information, and the magazine only covered 56 networks on the grid now, dropping down from 85.  It is more down sizing in the United States of America, and it is more evidence of "The Pseudo Information and the Age of Ignorance."

Oh, I say that the "American Indian" is being put out of extinction, and "American Indians" are too stupid or lazy or rotten to fight back against those persons who are putting them into extinction.  For example, on August 18, 2014, I learned Phil Simms (the former NFL quarterback and now a commentator NFL football games on television) is a rotten man and is helping to put American Indians into extinction.  Phil Simms says that he is sensitive to complaints about the "Redskins" (Washington Redskins) using "Redskins," and he is going to avoid saying "Redskins," as is another rotten man, Tony Dungy (who does NFL commentary-type work for NBC-TV, which is network that supports communism).  More and more people, such as at high schools, are getting rid of "American Indian"-related names, which are held up proudly.  I say in jest--"Yes, the Washington Redskins used "Redskins" all these years to put down American Indians."  Phil Simms and Tony Dungy are actually more of the rotten people on television today.  By the way, I wonder what pretty Betty Ann Carr is doing today.  ["Wilner, Barry (The Associated Press).  "Phil Simms, Tony Dungy might ot use Redskins nickname in broadcasts."  The Washington Times, 18 August 2014.]

Remember: The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s, and I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.
